But sadly it won't manage to find its place in raids and PvP content. Top Condition Damage Benchmarks in Raid Scenarios: Condi Scourge 38.7k, Condi Weaver 38.5k, Condi Firebrand 37.9k, Condi D/D (with permanent poison field) 37.2k, Condi Renegade 37.0k, Condi Soulbeast 37.0k, Condi Tempest 35.4k, Condi D/D 34.5k. Should note that out of these benchmarks, Renegade's is probably the most obtainable for an average player without an insanely low ping and is likely to be one that won't get nerfed anytime in the near future. You could also argue that Renegade's overall dps would actually be the highest option because the benchmark doesn't account for giving the rest of your subgroup 15% critical damage via AP. If you don't think it has a place in raids, you're still sticking to your old "Revenants are terrible" biases from patches and patches ago. otto.5684
I dunno why people are stuck in the renegade works in raid environment issue. The issue is renegade is basically the same old condi build with slight damage upgrade and slight group dps buff. The new weapon does not work in any game content. The f2-f4 utilities are nearly useless due to energy cost. Utilities also cost significant energy. It does not work in PvP at all. How is playing the same old build with almost all new tools not viable and zero viability in PvP not a significant issue?

Probably because, or so they claim, it is a PvE game.
Buran.3796
I think that is easier to resume: Do you play PvE raids, fractals and open world PvE? Then Renegade is great, albeit doesn't change too much how condi Revenant was played, and the sb is arguably weak. Do you play PvP, WvW zerging/roaming and competitive Guild vs Guild? Then the Renegade is trash, you won't touch it with a 10 feet pole.
