Npc summons

Anyone else wondering why they added this in the patch, I mean did people really have a problem with only being able to have one summon up at the time?

 

+Players can now have two different NPC allies summoned by consumable items active at once.

And do that mean we can have golem/rock dog from runes, then add a rock dog from whistle and elemental from powder?

Since a Raven summon is among the purchaseables from the new map, I suspect they don't want that and TP/Merchant summons to conflict wih each other.

We had summons since core tho.

Yes, but why they did it *now* as opposed to with any of the recent previous updates.

There was some summons (paragon something) from a lws4 map as welll. I just never used them as idk what they are for rlly...
