Serenity.6304
I seek for help until support replies. Speedtest has perfect results, the problem is only in GW2. I only play pvp. I've been having ping issues for 4 days now. The ping per game goes up to 3000-4000 regularly. It makes every map unplayable, the only one that works so far is Foefire. I can't do a thing and there is a delay that makes the game for me unplayable. I just stand there and can't move. I tried to delete the files and re-installed everything, I also repaired the client. I wrote to support and attached 3 log files that were recommended. Now... until support is gonna answer me, does anyone of u guys have some advice? What can I still try? Thank you ^^
Linken.6345
Have you tried any of the vpn services?
Sleepwalker.1398
Try using mobile data to see if issue is still there?
Serenity.6304
support replied, but their idea of deactivating start-up programs and background processes didn't help. I now tried two different accounts, one on NA and one on EU. Both worked perfectly fine. Ping was low, about 50 - 300. So it seems to affect only this account in particular... Inculpatus cedo.9234
Be aware: a speed test does not replicate the path from your computer to the GW2 servers. As mentioned above, you can try a VPN that takes a different route to the servers. You can use a program like PingPlotter to find where any connection issues lay. Many have issues with the Tier 1 Backbone, Level 3. Good luck.
thepenmonster.3621
Unless things have changed the last info I found on the lag spike problem was that Amazon's servers have been under near constant attack for months now. Anet cant do anything.
