Two person mount/interaction

Hello! This is quite an innocent suggestion since the passing of valentines I feel like maybe for a future patch allow players to join onto other player mounts as a fun interaction option. This was mainly inspired by the game sky where players can hold hands (tho I think that would be weird on gw2) so mounts I think would be the best interaction option ;D ! I just think it would be cute and encourage people to interact n’ socialise more. Thank you and hope you guys like this idea!

Interesting. I’m glad they didn’t because they would have made it a separate Mount.. I would love it to work on all mounts :) and I’d prefer it to be a mastery unlock or maybe have a special friend quest they need to do? Since anet like making super long collections haha.

This could also help new players get into the game quicker and make it less slow, boring movement speed as their friend, who probably bought the game for them in the first place tries to convince them to stay. Yes I’m talking from experience:( my friend wouldn’t stay because of how far ahead I was and how long it’ll take for them to catch up. anyway this could maybe fix that.

Here's the official quote on the Behemoth multi person mount and why it didn't fit the design goals

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/10/23/how-guild-wars-2s-mounts-were-made/

_"For some mounts we started with the movement mechanic we wanted and tried to figure out what natural or fantasy creature would attest to it,” says Zadorojny. So that explains the Skimmer, a hovering manta ray that lets you cross water and poisonous bogs."_

_"And then there’s the Jackal, which lets you make up to two instant teleport dashes and can also access Sand Portals that are found throughout Path of Fire’s zones. But it took a long time to take this role. For a start, it was originally going to be a huge mount that could seat several players at once."_

_“But we after prototyped it, it was going to be fairly hard to make it look convincing with the tools we had, and we were concerned about people parking on vendors with a giant mount so you couldn’t see them,” says Helmich."_

_"What’s more, though the team liked its communal nature, the behemoth didn’t perform the lock-and-key function that the other mounts did. So they re-thought it, looking toward the deserts which make up many of Path Of Fire’s zones"._
