What size did you make your character and why?

I've got a range of sizes across characters and races, but my main is a max-sized Norn. Predictable, I know! As if JP's weren't hard enough for me.

I have 18 characters, and my main motivation with them is variety.

The first character I made was a charr warrior. I wanted her to look huge, imposing--classic big warrior. So I gave her the most muscular frame and max height.

The next character I made was a charr necromancer. I wanted him to look small and thin, as if he is sickly and near-death. So, thinnest frame and shortest height.

 

The rest of my characters have height and build based on the feel and personality I am going for. Some are thin, some hefty, some short, some tall, and most somewhere in between. My heavy armor users are usually (but not always) above average in height and build.

Mine (all female) are all at or near max height, and most are also as buff as I can make them, or nearly so for the light armor wearers. I absolutely do get a kick out of seeing my massive charr warrior ... now if only I liked the class more. :/

Mine were aesthetic choices. BUT, I must say that I have regrets about making any Charr bigger than it has to be. I've found that in climbing/jumping puzzles the Charr graphic often makes it impossible to see what I'm doing. It's way more difficult to do the same steps than on Asura (or really on anything else).

For my males, I typically like to go one notch below max height. For females I go 2-3 notches below maximum height. I tend to like my characters on the larger end as most classical 'heroe's are generally larger than average people.

Most of mine are towards the smaller end, though I do tend to make my less-played heavier characters taller and brawnier.

But I prefer my mains to be as small as possible because the larger they are the slower their run feels. And I like having an underdog character, or a character that looks physically weak/meak, but can hold her own in combat. Though, that's really only to a point. I don't find myself maining dwarfish characters like the asura unless all other options are bad, and that's not about to happen while the sylvari exist :P

I roll max size charr with the bulkiest body option and always have the embiggening tonic active whenever possible.

For Molten Boss fractal, I've become very skilled at positioning myself so that the camera pans under my leggings up at my butt.

Max height asura.

 

I get to enjoy all the fancy animations and skins in the biggest size possible on the best race.

 

I sometimes use the tonic that makes you larger to double up on this for huge asura.

Because if you play a small or large race, might as well go all the way.

ive seen asuras smaller than mini pets... that should not be alowed.. -_- for pvp reasons

As a response to the huge amount of max sized male char and norn warriors, i created a medium sized male Asura warrior.

The rest of my 11 chars are around mid sized.

Except one fem norn char, that is just above minimum size.
