Necromancer in Platinum / Legend

In plat 2 and climbing....need more games for the leaderboard though. And plat 1 on my "test-some-hot-garbage-builds smurf". Necro is fine up here. But once again, necro does shine on a 5 man team that is built around it properly.

Playing core necro atm, I'm taking ling curse, should I swap to weakening shroud? Also vamp presence or life from death?

Always take vampiric aura. always , always. its just shame but it does more healing, more dmg, more for team AND its easier and more reliable.

 

The scepter trait isnt bad, but in pvp you almost always need the shroud proc.

Its rare that you get to autoatack for long, and the meta has now many short CD cleanses so having 10s over 5s bleeds wont do their dmg. And the AOE is more useful for WVW or on scourge, where you go into shroud less often, are all time using weapons and could proc a big burn, now its gone.

 

So yea, atm take weakness shroud and vampire aura.
