OG Kaineng had to perfect havoc teams and fighting outnumbered long before links, and we can continue to do that without you. I felt the same way when I was linked to FA. Left IOJ just after 2 days of being linked to that horrible server. They aren't even that good. Lol.

The commander is very tolerant towards people who like to play the class that they like. I even transferred to their linked server because of how friendly they are unlike other squads that are so "exclusive" and would bash the heck out of you by playing a non-meta class. I used to command in Devona's Rest (Kyros Guild) and I was like that commander. I ran with an open squad and I even commanded on my Ranger but I think that was back in 2016 when Spirit Ranger was really strong. I think commanders should always be friendly to encourage people to play WvW and although there are some shortcomings from the squad, it can still be fixed because everyone will be doing their best to win the fights.
  3. I don't want less zerg but I do want big servers like Blackgate to stop being linked to other servers. I think they can manage on their own and having them linked is just ridiculous.
  4. I mostly play Firebrand when I am with a squad. I noticed that this squad that I play with has very few firebrands although they are very good as a pug and I sometimes play as a ranger and they never run out of rangers. We win most of our fights eventhough we only have like two or three firebrands in our squad. Just today, the commanded suggested to the squad to practice playing metaclasses now that we are moving up and a lot of the squad members said that they find Firebrand very boring. I wonder why people think Firebrand is boring. What do you guys think?

I already had the Legendary Champion before the boost in rank levelling. I played pvp for the first two years that I have played GW2.

Join discord (or teamspeak), even if you don’t talk, the banter can be both annoying and funny. Don’t get offended. Honestly, this makes the ‘gold per hour’ worth it. I mostly play a Firebrand, not sure if that is a good class to use to tag multiple enemies. I prefer playing support instead of dps during blob fights but I switch to ranger for roaming.
  7. i just hope they change the druid skill sounds. it's so annoying, other than that, i think it's a solid class for wvw.
  8. > @"Solanum.6983" said: > I like spirits, It's a shame them being stationary makes them next to useless in WvW where Battles are constantly moving and anything standing still gets aoe spammed and dies quickly. Yeah, I really like them. They give offensive and defensive buffs to allies nearby and that AOE Rez comes really in handy. Too bad Anet decided to nerf them to become stationary. Anet should not had touched them in WvW, the cries were only from SPvP anyway. And there is something about Druid that don't really click for me, maybe the sound that it makes.
  9. I still don't understand this nerf. Why not just nerf the ability of the mirage to create clones after dodging but just 1 dodge? Lol. Idk what anet was thinking.
  10. > @"Lan Deathrider.5910" said: > Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't Spirits stationary? If so they are of no help really in a blob fight. Go full on spirits on the Keep and Tower lords sure, that is PvE after all. I do recall that the little guys moved at launch. Maybe its a good idea for them to be mobile again? They really aren't that game breaking outside of having to potentially render 50*7 sprites when the Ranger Blob crests the hill... They were moving before but a lot of people relentlessly asked the dev's to nerf the Spirit Ranger. It was only overpowered in PVP. I don't get it why Anet decided to include the nerf to WvW too. Just weird. Anyway, when you activate the spirit, they will teleport to the ranger's current location. They can provide chill, blind, cripple and burst damage so they are not completely useless. You can summon them from a safe place and activate them once you are in the middle of the blob but it requires the ranger to go for a tanky condi build to be effective.
  11. > > "what a larger group of people want" > > Can we bring up all the people that have quit the game because of lack of balance around anything but a full squad then? > > It's really ironic that you're acting all 'rational' and high and mighty because your way of playing WvW is the 'right' and 'intended' way, when blobbing in 10FPS fights is what brings the servers to their knees for entire maps. Whatever though, have fun playing your slideshow 'epic battle'. I suggest Microsoft PowerPoint next time you want to play a similar game. Quit? Lol. So you want to quit too? Noone is stopping you. Make sure the door doesn't hit you on your way out.

Do you want anet to nerf blog fighting in favor to your preferred small group fights? Small group fights only cater to a really small number of players in WvW. I'm done with this thread. > > > So you want anet to discourage blob fighting? Because you don't like it? Well, I like it and so do many others. As what other people already said here, WvW was created for bigger fights that PvP does not offer. If you want to roam the map with your friends, noone is stopping you but you can't ask for the dev's to "discourage" what a larger group of people want. You are sounding like a GW2 version of Karen. Seriously, be more rational.

WvW requires a different playstyle and it offers a different kind of fun. If I didn't like big zerg fight, I would just leave this game mode and return to PVP, but I did and I still am enjoying it. What i am saying is anyone who thinks small group wvw fighting is the same as pvp probably hasnt done either. I think what he is saying is that if you want small group fights, you should play PvP instead. Content every minute of the day i don't know what these guys are expecting from WvW and most of them claim to have been playing this mode for a long time already. i play different roles in WvW (ranger, weaver, firebrand, mesmer) and I use them according to what I feel like is the most useful for my group. I switch professions a lot of times in WvW, adjusting to the need of the group. I find it boring when you play the same role over and over.
  16. Just have a ranger in your group pop Sic Em and you should be able to kill that thief in a matter of seconds after. (for WvW)
  17. I use undead runes on my condi ranger and he is tough as nails.
  18. why nerf rangers? i don't get it. for a ranger to have 3k toughness, it has to go condi and rely on close and mid range attack which you can easily run away from as a thief.
