  1. I recall during the final battle with Balthazar that Kralkatorrik was hurling meteors at the platform, that’s why I thought he was just creating them, as for the Branded Risen, the reason I said that was because of the comment that Canach said about getting your Risen killing boots on that and the Branded Thrall are red tinted Risen Thralls.

  2. So it seems from the first Episode Kralkatorrik is using new powers he acquired after eating Balthazar’s energy. Looks like his minions are able to make Brandstorms or is Kralkatorrik doing this from a distance? Seems to be able conquer meteorites, power obtained from Jormag maybe? Also noticed that there’s branded Risen as well now.

  3. Was Lonai that important to the story in Nightfall? I recall her having some story points in the Sunspear hideout in Kourna as well as being a henchmen. Seems like a disappointing reveal... Lonai: It is I Commander, Lonai! Commander: Who? Lonai: You know I was a henchman in Istan, had a few quests in Kourna, you know establishing a Sunspear base, remember me? Commander: Not ringing a bell. Lonai: (sigh). I gave out a bunch quests about helping the Centaurs and gave you the quest that helped the then player free Joko. Commander: Oh right.

  4. I remember clearing UW for the first time on my Rit and fighting Dhuum at the end. That fight was a close contender for raid encounter. Also when you failed in UW you lost money. I’m really not sure why people are surprised by this as it was an elite area in gw1. If the fissure of woe is released prepare for a raid wing.

  5. It kinda bummed me out that they put so much White Mantle stuff with the first 3 wings since it was so heavily connected to S3, however the Underworld is the perfect place for a raid. I recall UW being difficult as all hell and I also recall that UW required a payment to enter as well as lots of food. UW was raiding in gw1, seems fitting for it to be the same in gw2.

  6. I’m more excited about Kralkatorrik’s new found abilities. We have one Elder Dragon, who now has command of all the Elder Dragon spectrums minus the deep sea dragon. That got me thinking that if Aurene eventually replaces Kralkatorrik will she have command of those spectrums as well? At same time didn’t Aurene absorb magic from Mordremoth, which also had Zhaitan magic and now with her snack from Balthazar, has she now been exposed to sane spectrums as Kralkatorrik?

  7. Seems odd to add all the other gods except for Lyssa from a development point of view, Balthazar dying or not. Individually the evidence is a tad weak but in its totality, it’s appears that Lyssa could return.

In terms of Lyssa fooling Kormir, Lyssa is the goddess of illusion, Kormir even said that the mirror was powerful enough for her to be fooled as well.

Kormir: When he returned to this world, Balthazar disguised himself as Lazarus with Lyssa's Mirror—the only magic powerful enough to hide the truth from our eyes.

And that’s just an object that Lyssa created. Lyssa could have the whole pantheon fooled. It appears that they are breadcrumbing something for later.

  8. Now that Path of Fire has been out for a month and a bit it got me thinking to old mysteries from Season 2. Back in Season 2 Episode 5 we find out that the Master of Peace received Glint’s egg from a Mysterious Voice. Are we thinking that this was Vlast or has this entity been revealed. I was hoping to find a piece of text in Path of Fire confirming this, but couldn’t. Thoughts?

  9. Honestly, I would not be surprised if the dragons actually have two weaknesses. Each other as shown with Jormag and Primordus and their own unique weakness ex: Modremoth’s mind and Kralkatorrik’s Crystals. I do question why they had an Icebrood imbued with both energies unless it’s a future plot point. I looked over that quote from Edge of Destiny again and again, and I’m still not seeing an Icebrood corpse in a hat description. Having your face smashed in could exactly that or badly beaten and bruised. According to the description no teeth, nose canted it seems like the latter or a figure of speech rather then this Norn had his face caved in, which would of been a better description if this Icebrood was in fact dead before being corrupted.

  10. It’s hard to say if the Icebrood from th book was actually killed before being corrupted. The description advised that the Norn had white hair with his face smashed in, his nose canted and teeth missing. It’s not really stating that this Norn was dead, just that he had injuries to his face and it’s not saying that this Norn had a gaping hole in his head where his face would be either. In regards to the mixing of Magic’s in the Icebrood, I believe it’s referring to its name being an **unstable** abomination. Before the fight it’s seen kneeling and panting. That being said perhaps Mordremoth could only use the death spectrum in strictly using corpses for minion manufacturing, which would explain why we don’t see any Nidrem infused with the death spectrum per say.

  11. Was hoping to have an answer by a dev about this as we are currently running into a lore issue on the wiki. Did Mordremoth absorb the death spectrum from Zhaitan after his death? The current argument right now is that all Elder Dragons can corrupt the dead not just Zhaitan and that Mordremoth’s ability to use corpses in his minion making process is a natural ability and not one granted by Zhaitan’s death spectrum. An answer to this conundrum would be most appreciated.
