They don't have anyone paying attention to the game mode. They essentially walked away from it and didn't say anything.

The forgotten game mode of Anet will not be changing. Get over its glaring flaws in balance (player distribution and class skills), rewards and variety and it still fun to play. otherwise it just gets annoying and its time to step away.

The only way to save this chapter is to have Taimi die in a pit of fire.

More life to it than alliances.....

It was going down hill after the first two releases. Then we had to deal with Taimi screaming like Nevil Chamberlain appeasing the third reich and it hit rock bottom. DRMs are meaningless to the world. No love to wvw (as usual). Its actually worse than the contrived season 2 story. Typical of Anet. Start something great and then serve rotten fruit for desert.

The DRM are boring and tedious. There is no excitement around repeating the content

So far, the DRM are annoying. Having to listen to our boss Taimi tell us all the things that we have to do is like fingers on a chalkboard. Neville Chamberlain would be proud of her approach. Isn't she supposed to be dead yet or did that part of the story just get wiped away with a line of dialog like the 'balance' for the Elder Dragons or how the destroyers no longer have the other magic from the dragons as happened in Ember Bay..... Maybe that's my issue. The poor and inconsistent story telling more so than these boring missions.

2020 reminded that no matter how low I set my expectations, Anet still underdelivers. So 2021 I expect nothing for wvw and bots to continue to run wild in pvp. Hello alliances? ..... Beuller?

Lack of attention. WvW gets the short end of the development time and I wish it wasn't that way.

My guess is they abandoned that ship and have decided to never mention it again and hope we stop brining it up.

The best you can do is rent a mount for certain activities (races) or get the Charr Car from a camp (via a tactivator) in WvW - otherwise you'll need the expansion

The first thing that comes to mind is to dislike something and then go to the people who do like it and call it horrible. Seems like a reasonable approach. Oh, and nothing 'forced' you to do anything in this game.

Just think.... we could see someone hired, they come up with a plan, tell us to be patient and good things will come... then nothing, just nothing. History repeats itself.

Thanks for pointing that out for me. Haven't used the character for so long, I forgot I put that infusion on this character a few months back. Though, I'm surprised its doing the weapons draw animation when mounting the skyscale (but not other mounts). Thanks again!

The most toxic thing in the game is PvP, then PVE. WvW lags (no pun intended) way behind in the toxicity race. Between the discussion forum and the wvw forum, there must be a thousand threads bemoaning the need to play a player vs player game mode for an award with the name 'battle' in it. Since Anet hasn't changed how this works for the larger part of the decade the game has been out, I'm thinking a few more threads won't quite tip the scales.

Seems like its around three thousand pips a week. So, whatever that works out to in laps on the diamond track.

Color me underwhelmed. This release was weak and adding in a new faction isn't going to change that - regardless when it escapes. I'm still waiting for one new thing feels at least as epic as the battle for Lions Arch from gw1. Unfortunately it feels like we're going the wrong direction.
