  1. A reduction in cast time would actually be nice, it'd push the limit of when I can more than likely bait out the enemies burst by luring them with low hp. What if it was at 1/2 instead of 3/4? That is still interruptable and it goes on cd if you are too early anyway. Or what if something else was tacked on there besides the small heal if you didn't get hit? The danger with aed is that you count on the enemy to hit, and to hit you, which is why it's so do or die because what you are left with when you need to use it is so low that you most likely won't recover the aftermath if aed doesn't go off. It's a heal that requires active steps and your enemy to dance with you. I actually really love this heal and people think you are crazy for using it hehe but I can't help it. (At least with glint heal on herald, if my heal doesn't go off I can swap legends and use another heal provided I have enough energy). I'm also using aed from wvw perspective.
  2. I agree, but I still try to do without alchemy just to be different/see if I can hehehe. It's like the same thing I tried doing with thief, I tried to make no trickery builds but they need a do over since sbow with no trickery wouldn't be advisable. I also try do that with warrior and no discipline. In any case I did end up with my own fun inv/tool/scrap build that I use from time to time, I don't think the balance patch affected it.

  4. What if for some incredible reason they gave 1 weapon for the new elite, but introduced a new weapon for the whole class? Best of both worlds.
  5. It might've happened a while back when they split some ground/underwater skills, I think a few were changed like maybe some rev/guard/engi or whatever. I do know rocket boots on engi was split - maybe that's when the change occured but it was many months ago. If this was only something you noticed recently, then I don't know, maybe it's been stealth updated to work underwater and the wiki not updated, but it could also be a mistake. Interesting choice to use underwater though.
  6. I've been using aed quite a bit in the past month or two, and I really had to adjust my way of thinking to use it. I had to pretend it wasn't a heal and more like a pre-emptively casted block (sounds strange but that's how I went about it). It's a death knell if aed get interrupted due to the nature of when you are supposed to use the heal so I try to get it off with some stab or whatever else I got. What kind of changes could they do for it?

  11. Thieves do have traits that proc off being stealthed. Afaik only mes is the only other class that has something that procs off being in stealth. Yes, very good point. Maybe touching activator can ping the banner position on map? But spawning back at tactivator might be better.
  13. Why don't the banners just drop on the ground when you leave the area, so you can pick it back up. It can either drop the exact spot you moved out of territory or spawn near the tactivator with the timer still going but someone else can pick it up instead of having it get wasted.

I actually used shadow savior a lot on my d/p, p/d, s/x, rifle, sbow, etc. I think it works with shadow flare too but it's not in the tooltip as a shadowstep nor in the shadow savior wiki page, but if you test it you should probably see dark savior appear in log. I'm still trying to figure out if I will keep sbow but I will camp on main weaponset. I don't want to but it looks like sa/trickery may be my goto for the moment.

Yes, I have no trickery builds previously and they were already stepping on the line as do-or-die builds (mostly die). I do not think I can use them with sbow now. I will either have to use de with rifle or drop sbow completely on core/dared. In fact, I think I will probably have to rethink whether I will even take sbow at all, at least for core or dd. I could take it with my de, but I prefer rifle on that. This change alone kind of killed the diversity I was trying to make with builds that didn't rely on trickery. Time to make a useless full ini regen build xd
  17. Hello, I just want to ask you thieves and the ones that pvp, how has this sbow change affected the decap role? A lot/some/none? If it has drastically changed it, what role do thieves have now for pvp? Just as +1 and no decap? Sounds painful to decap waiting for the ini to regen trying to get where you want lol. Will you guys be using shadow portal more? Or just drop sbow instead?
  18. It's possibly lag oriented, I'm still getting it right now. It's kind of similar like the invisible wall you get after wp'ing but this looks like the client is struggling to sync. My ping isn't showing any spikes currently. It's definitely registering my keypress, because it moves, gets stuck, move, gets stuck (this is with a direction key held down). This is around a moderate sized zerg fight. Feels more like the server is struggling with its load or something. I don't know, it's just not normal behaviour for me, I don't get this even in 3way fights usually. Something is off lately. PS - like the other mentioned above though, definitely don't forget to clean your keys too, and re-init your kb software or reinstall, and test with another kb. Luckily I have another one coming in soon just to double check.
  19. Yes I've found my character rooted in place while just trying to move normally, requiring more taps just to register movement. That was like last week though, not sure about after the patch. I'll keep an eye out. Could possibly be a razer issue to not sure but I have one too though.

  21. Just out of curiousity, why are there no servers hosted on ipv6? That could provide an additional layer of alternative routing for some.

From what I've seen it's more of an NA thing, at least that is where I've seen it used - I think EU side don't care as much for it but I had more looks through the tiers on NA than I did on EU.
  24. Ok, I thought I was imagining things. So is this only something happening lately or what? I haven't had this issue until now. I noticed it occurring in my last two days when I finally had a chance to get into smaller fights.
