  1. While the news is sad it is not shocking, Sad fact is mobile makes more than both PC and counsel combined which is pathetic with how rife the platform is with pay to win. Secondly MMO as a game genre has been on a down swing in popularity. While i have no doubts that GW2 will be going strong for a long time. this news is saddening as a whole

Personally I am glad we still have GW1 and 2 but if the world goes mobile for games I am going to be that back catalog playing curmudgeon who simply refuses to own a mobile phone I trust google and apple as far as I can toss em'

    > Actually, in GW1- particularly Nightfall- the PC was more of a commander than the GW2 PC has ever been. There wasn't a whole lot of, well, _character_ to the character, but they were pretty firmly set as the center of things for every release except Factions and the first couple chapters of Beyond.

we were Beginning of prophecies we were playing Rurick's second fiddle, afterwords some stuff for the white mantle than we were second fiddle to Evenia. we rilly did not become the "center" until Fire islands

Factions: Third fiddle to Master Bozo and his Cronie Brother Aggro

Nightfall : we were the only person who did not dislike Kormir

  3. I don't think the devs are allowed to say. But to be a party pooper what benefit would adding the spear to the roster of weapons that can be used on land ? at this point there are plenty of weapons each class can't use. Also what role would it fill? Thrown like a Javelin or as a one handed thrusting weapon in a way similar to the way a Hoplite would? (both roles are already filled by short bow and Sword respectively))

While admit I would LOVE to see my Warrior go all Spartan with a spear primary weapon and a sword as a backup. from the logical standpoint it just does not seem to be worth the time investment

  4. I just finished my second play threw of the new content and I am a tad off put by one thing in the ending. We walk up and we see the impaled and mangled corpse of someone we share a strong magical link with and the closest thing to a response to it is "Caithe your flowers" it points out in general a trend I have noticed with the commander a complete lack of proper emotional responses. Another example would be an Asura commander in no way responding at all to overtly insulting things said about there race in both Heart of thorns and even season 4 Episode 3.

Are the lack of a emotional response a issue with writing budget or is the commander some kind of Psychopath?

I wondered if Awakened smelled "Ripe" they are serenely goopy enough

    > I agree, having gone mostly barefoot for decades, but I appreciate that some people have a deeply seated, if irrational, paranoia about them. (Often because they have the perception that they are uniquely and horrifically germ-ridden, a fear of which are played up in current media.)

to be honest the issue is not with the feet but how a bare foot can be injured and blood born pathogens are a real thing and a big problem

  7. The asura are smart but they are no dummies being overly defensive would comprise the monopoly they have on transporting goods and people quickly ((the even explore the Asura's reluctance to show a side in the book "Edge of Destiny" showing that the Asura were reluctant to put a gate into ebonhawk due to worries that it would antagonize the charr the gate in ebonhawk took a lot of diplomatic posturing from the human queen.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can be is Neutral especially if you operate the transportation network.

    > > Path of Fire (before LWS4) showed us the weakness of this great beast: the Dragonsblood Spear. We destroyed this, however research from Yasna of Kralkatite ore during LWS4 Episode 1 at the Astralarium hinted that confluence of astral energy (aka intense focused light) could purify the Kralkatite. Fast forward even further to LWS4 Episode 4 and we learn that the Djinns' have magic protection capable of resisting the Brand, something Ziya grants the Commander from arcane experiments on corrupted sand.

    > >

    > > So we went from one sole weakness to Kralk and his Dragonbrand, to potentially three ways we can defeat him? Granted, the magic the djinn's wield is protection based, but I'm sure Taimi could find a way to turn that into a weapon. Especially if you combine it djinn's protective magic with the other two - intense focused light and dragonsblood weapons.

    > >

    > > My question is, where does the destinction lie between the Brand and Kralk himself? The Brand is his corruption, but is it also a part of him? For instance, is the Brand also part of his thick hide, his internal structure, or does it extend beyond that and is far more vital for his survival?

    >

    > We talked about this quite a bit when creating this episode. The weakness we've described in the past was that Kralk's "blood" is his own weakness but that also could mean his kin. The Brand are effectively extensions of himself and therefor their materials and him are one in the same. At least, the share the same frequency as described in Ep 5. This is what allows us to create weapons that Kralk is weak to.

It also makes seance that because the new spears are not his blood, but something closely related that the spears would be weaker. But we have his blood now I suspect after beating his eyeball out we are soaking in it

  9. my dragon to English translator has Aureine saying to Krackletoes “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

We have no idea what thing that could only be understood between dragons was. perhaps dyeing is part of the process to becoming a elder dragon replacement, however if she is dead that makes things interesting from the perspective that if you look at Teq. Dragon Champions become more powerful when there "master" dies and we were Aureine's Champion perhaps the new elite specs in the next ex-pack will reflect this allowing us to embody the rage of the fall of our beloved hatching.

or it could just get sappy and Asura tech is brought into the picture and we get Mecha - Aureine XD
