    > So they didn't die on Balthazar's death, but were quickly routed by the Awakened army after Balthazar's death. The dialogue implies that the focus was on "pushing them out of Elona" rather than "eliminating" them" however, so it's possible that they'll return. But it's also possible for the Toxic Alliance, Molten Alliance, and Aetherblades to return; yet when they had the best chances to do so (Toxic Alliance being implied influenced by Mordremoth but no show during either the Mordrem Invasion weekend or HoT), and Anet's tendency to completely forget about loose plot threads, I doubt we'll see them again.

Well its not exactly like we can trust anything from Joko or his lackeys. I would not put it past them to say they are driving out the forged even if they actually all went *poof* after Balthazar died.

  2. I suspect we will never step foot inside or get any big lore on the Wizard's tower and it will allways be a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

It amongs a few other structures in GW1 were so awesome because they were so unknown others being the strange towers on the outskirts of lion's arch and also the Wizard's Folly tower (where did it go!)

only if your a human noble fo i guess he is the human equivalent of mysterious Bezia

  4. my concern is some of these materials required one rune requires are rather rare for example Azurite Orbs, ot "Giant Eye" this is a drop that i have yet to even see in game.

The changes to the runes i love and hopefully it will bring back the old strategic use of boons we had then the first shipped instead of the all the boons all the time we have in the meta. but i do worry that the rarity of some of these crafting materials, and the RNG element of Symbols and Talismans are going to drive up the price of items which play such a vital role in build-craft its bad enough we have some stat sets behind a crafting wall.

    > I don't see how this could end badly for players. It will be crazy at first with ppl speculating on prices and trying out a bunch of new builds, but over time once a new 'meta' settles in -- which it inevitably will -- mats will drop in much larger quantities than they are consumed and crafting will be a cheap and reliable way to get new runes, which will also drive down their tp prices for ppl who refuse to craft . . .

    > Or put another way, do you swap your runes and sigils out of non-leg weaps and armor more or less often than you get loots . . ?

    > It could theoretically have other outcomes ofc, but it won't . . .

they made the symbols required to craft upgrades a Rare drop adding in more coin flip play i don't mind the harder to extract runes but, the RNG that annoys me

this was a issue in GW1 as well people would block you than talk smack. in both cases the same simple case needed to be implemented messaging a person automatically unblocks them

    > "Gollum" bothers me more than these examples. It is and always has been "goh-lem"; I only started hearing "gollum" after LotR came out. It's not the same word! I also agree with @"Gaile Gray.6029" about Wyvern.

    >

    > I have more tolerance for the examples above because they are just English phonetic pronunciations of non-english words that don't translate easily to native english speakers, which is both common in the real world and no big deal. It's like "cruh-sahnt" vs "quo-saaahhh". Saying it the latter way when you aren't French kinda just makes you look like a tool. I mean, how many Americans trill their r when they say "burrito"?

I forgave the pronunciation of golem thinking by thinking that it is not the construct from Jewish Folklore. and Anet made it easy to do so in gw1 by turning G.O.L.E.M. into a very cute and very smugly asura backronym "Genius Operated Living Enchanted Manifestation" if you use the first letters in that phrase as pronounced you get the way golem is pronounced in the GW franchise.

  8. Greatswords, why are they always so ungodly huge, one of the few good great sword skins is the Basic steel great sword most others are so large if you could swing them you would either 1 throw yourself to the floor with the momentum generated or two if you had super sticky shoe powers rip your arms out of the sockets or both

Two handed swords on the back? I blame Hollywood, but it does not take very long to think how would you draw a long blade like that from your back unless you stretch Armstrong it would hang up in the sheath no ... just ... no

two handed sword combat every time i use a great sword i want to sing "Take me out to the ball game" because i am handling that blade like a ball bat. not ecen a semblance of a guard position even the simple "Ochs" guard position would be a huge improvement good place to look is this essay on The Basic Guards of Medieval Long sword on the arma http://www.thearma.org/essays/StancesIntro.htm#.WJ73Pfl96iM

Shields on the back while it is possible some may have carried there shields this way for long trips if they entered a location where combat was expected the shield was held either Tyrians have 6 extra joints on there arms, or your not quickly grabbing a shield off your back and fluidly equipping it

lastly technique with the shield watch the animation, every time you swing you pull your shield away where it would not be going you any good. you should be keeping it between you and the person you are fighting so it can be used for its job, to parry attacks. sword technique however changes with a shield and i will agree most people would find the low underhand and overhand arcing thrusts boring to watch.

TLDR: the commander fights like a ninny

  9. Those Reinvent themed weapons we were teased with Pre HoT and my Cute Asura Reinvent is still waiting to get his grubby little clawed mits on. poor little guy is practically in tears

some professions still lack a real condi removal *cough* thief *cough*

Pocket Raptors, Smoke scales, and those annoying things that shoot there spines at you like a Browning 50 Caliber machine gun

  10. I am over 40 and have brain damage from a injury sustained while in the army. i went the route of warrior spell breaker with a lot of defensive options everything from blocking with full counter, interrupting skills and utilities that temporally increase health pool reduce damage taken and all utility three utility skills are stun breaks.

using this build i have been able to get threw most of the game solo i will admit the double daggers are not that hard hitting but the ability to stop big attacks has been a life saver. the same goes for full counter.
