  1. It doesn't make economic sense for them to do it. In the meantime you can just put a stack of bank access in your shared inventory or if you are wealthy enough ingame , the permanent banker.
  2. No idea on the money transfer aspect, but gw2efficiency value inflating is nothing that affects the actual game. Just giving you an idea on what people do.
  3. I'd rather better multithreading , though DX12 would probably help a bit for Windows systems it won't help overall for anything that is not the render thread. It's heavy on one thread due to the sequential nature of some operations and [Amdahl's law](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amdahl's_law) inevitably applies. Something akin to the introduction of the 64 bit client would be a huge step in the right direction (prior to this people would crash when hitting a combined 4GB RAM+VRAM limit). Some stats: Most people are on quad cores by now even if they play on laptops, which isn't the case when the game launched ; Steam's hardware survey has 91.07% DX12 capable GPUs and the most common cards are Pascal era low midtier cards (GTX 1060 / GTX 1050 Ti) and on the AMD side it's Polaris type RX 580 / RX 570 cards. Meanwhile 45.08% have 4 cores and 25.70% have 6 cores. 89.28% are on Windows 10 64 bit. > @"TheQuickFox.3826" said: > A native DX11/DX12/Vulkan renderer would be nice. [DX12 for Windows 7 is also a possibility](https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/porting-directx-12-games-to-windows-7/), just like World of Warcraft has. For me and the rest of the Windows 7 gamers it is important that we at least can continue to play GW2 on this OS. Linux users tend to use DXVK so d912pxy isn't a necessity there. Ultimately what needs to be optimized is the multi-threading that isn't addressed by DXVK / d912pxy. Would be helpful if shadows and reflections are able to offload to GPU as well.

I thought there would be a way to upgrade stormcaller weapons somehow. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Main_Page It's incorrect because the blurb was made before the release so it was speculative. See https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Volcanic_Stormcaller_Weapon_Box and https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Berserker's_Volcanic_Stormcaller_Axe for example
  5. It's for money transfer and gw2efficiency inflating
  6. I'd argue instead that the amount per purchase should be multiplied so people get more for their purchase retroactively. 3 build storage is extremely low for what amounts to a few text strings. It's almost certain that bank storage takes more data and you get **30** slots for that. At the least I'd expect 9 slots per purchase (1 per class). Because you can have builds saved elsewhere and drop the build code into the build template tabs directly, most people don't even buy build storage currently. Build templates have hot key functionality so at least they are semi-useful. Build storage has been discounted heavily in the past to the tune of 40% despite being a relatively new addition so it's something in the realm of possibility that it isn't a decent seller unlike character slots (40% off was only one time in 2014 , 35% is typically the highest discount) , bank tabs (up to 35% off), or equipment templates (up to 30% off) which never have been discounted that heavily. Build templates were cut up to 70% (30% off) previously yet it is a free one-off giveaway today.
  7. Your poll is deceptive because you have platinum then diamond. Should be platinum , mithril then diamond.
  8. Honestly the veteran creature killer daily should be swapped for yak defender.

And marauder and valkyrie+bersk builds are between berserker and soldier _Economically_ minstrel was rarer. Raids were introduced with HoT (so legendary armor stat swap was not that simple) , winterberries only give you one trinket + back/ring/accessory (November 21, 2016), and I remember each pearl was 7g each.

  11. You're not factoring the effect that marauder and other 4 stats (minstrel , trailblazer) had. Also remember karka potions which are still not removed from WvW.

Also, since we fight the boss at three interludes, maybe allow one of the shaman to come and assist us during that interval. > > Thank you for your time! Re: your points: 1) The parties thing is especially problematic. Also even if all 5 people are in Eye of the North it is possible they do not get the popup for private instances. 2) Even playing full on healbrand the allies die almost instantly. 3) Either make it start and lock the mission once the mini-goals are finished for private groups or offer more stat "morale boosts". The reason for public missions to not start once the mini-goals are complete is possibly to make sure the party is filled. 4) disconnecting is an issue 5) The allies are more or less useless for all the missions if you have CMs on
  13. The average player that actually knows what a HB/cQB/alac/BS is probably going to be better than the people doing the public missions , never mind asking for LI/KP. Yesterday I did a public because I'm done with CMs. That was a mistake because I ended up with people autoattacking ; it took longer to do the public with less rewards than a remotely competent group doing CMs.

It's more likely there will be an Ebon Vanguard bounty of sorts (see achievement panel).
  15. Honestly I think they're a way to test a reintroduction of scaling 5 man instanced content with difficulty settings. Fractals are gated by AR, these don't have remotely such a gating (as thoroughly evidenced by people auto attacking at range and doing nothing else in the public versions). In addition, they're a way to introduce yet another new currency.
  16. Not sure why anyone is surprised that the next episode is not out. The content schedule was already out on the website. The way I see it is the trade-ins are bonus content, the marks were even under the Bonus Event tab under achievements.
  17. "But why?" If you haven't been playing WvW for 8 years because you refuse to play a class that people want in WvW you won't suddenly change your mind. Considering the meta is more diverse than "GWEN" was before , it is unlikely to change significantly more. Couple this with the fact that immob soulbeast is a thing and it makes the complaint moot. There's two types of people: those that complain and those that adapt. This is similar to the PVE scenario, people wanted chrono nerfed and they got it nerfed. Now they complain about firebrand + alacrity renegade. If firebrand stability is nerfed people will run more heralds (Inspiring Reinforcement) , scrappers (defense field) , and chrono (one of the best boon rips right now, so bringing mantra of concentration isn't a tall order).
  18. Three things: 1) there should have been a pity timer added if not already (see Scion weapons from Dragonfall) , 2) they should have been ascended similar to Drakkar drops if exclusively RNG-based. Else, a recipe similar to Charged Stormcaller weapons would be a better idea (replace Charged Lodestone with Destroyer or Molten Lodestone for a _Volcanic Core_). 3) there should have been a way to get it for crystal bloom support marks or the tyria defense seals (see strike mission currencies) There probably shouldn't be mastery points awarded for completing the collection but I am almost certain there will be an excess of mastery points available. > @"Randulf.7614" said: > I agree that the Runic set was a superior way of doing things. Do you mean Runic armor? > @"lare.5129" said: > Incorrect. The drop is BOX. In this box you can take ANY weapon How many boxes have dropped for you _personally_? Or are you relying on speculation without data? Besides if you're still farming for them in **10 years** you'd be doing it wrong, unlike Tequatl weapons these aren't accountbound.
  19. Just run marauder armor or trinkets with discretize build, for fractals you want to look at discretize https://discretize.eu/builds/elementalist/power-tempest The metabattle one with arcane or fire attunement instead of water attunement has less sustain.
  20. I'm pretty sure when players made a warrior they didn't intend for it to be a healer. Leave healing to guardian (virtue of resolve sharing , wings of resolve , mace mainhand), tempest (soothing mist + especially staff), druid (it has a staff that heals + Celestial avatar), scrapper (not really in PVE , but med kit) , revenant (fringe healer on staff + ventari). Wouldn't really count scourge as healing in the traditional sense , more of a barrier spam class. edit: warrior, like mesmer doesn't need much investment into healing power to benefit due to _Healing Prism_ and _Vigorous Shouts_ respectively. Given the 8s cooldown on burst skills triggering _Soldier's Comfort_, I would say it is less circuitous than _Illusionary Inspiration_ and _Restorative Mantras_ on "support" mesmer. Keep in mind berserker is a staple in every instanced content group right now. The last thing you want is more nerfs (see banners reduced from +170 groupwide to +100).
  21. I don't know it was pretty challenging when I had 3 longbow rangers in my team afk autoattacking upscaling the boss. ;) That's the biggest problem with the public mission to be honest. The private grouping problem is primarily a LFG issue (there should be ability to switch squad to party or list as party for Champions episode). I feel as though Dragon Response Missions are more to get people in the habit of grouping. The Volcanic Stormcaller weapons are likely meant to be similar to "Aurene weapons" (weapons of the scion) in nature but tradeable. They ought to have been ascended though if they aren't craftable or exchangeable for crystal bloom support marks. Maybe there is a 1000 Dragon response mission "pity counter". edit also: https://massivelyop.com/2020/11/17/flameseeker-chronicles-first-impressions-of-guild-wars-2s-icebrood-saga-truce/ > We asked ArenaNet’s representatives why this new type of instance is capped at 5 players rather than 10 like Steel and Fire. Their reason was that Steel and Fire, while designed to scale from 5-10 players, becomes much more challenging in smaller groups, a frustrating experience that I think a lot of players have shared. They found that the mechanics scale much better in the 1-5 player range. and > If you’re a fractal fan, you might be understandably worried about the future of your favorite mode. ArenaNet was quick to assure us that the purpose of dragon response missions was not to replace fractals or strikes, but as something new and different, and that they have no plans to discontinue work on those any time soon.
  22. I would say fresh air tempest is a good pick if it's general T4 fractals. Overloading provides protection and you don't need to be in melee range , just close enough for boons. If you are playing weaver you can run marauder armor with _Master's fortitude_ instead of _Superior Elements_. Chronomancer generally isn't preferred if there's many mobs due to the ramp up of clones (it functions more like condi) and necromancer is only good in Siren's Reef due to the cleave of scourge/reaper with the life force generation of the adds. There's exceptions such as Sunqua Peak and Mai Trin where condi can work decently but it is less common. In fractals such as Deepstone or Twilight Oasis you want power generally to phase it (the spectral flames part and priestesses respectively).
  23. Agreed, when doing CMs used the Tyria parties section as a stopgap. When it is no longer fresh content it won't belong there.
  24. There's your Q4 2020 WvW patch ! ;) > @"Menzo.2185" said: > The worst kitten idea EVER!!!!! The banners are in the game since day one. Stop whining and trolling Anet if this dumb issues. Banners are fun. I hope this is sarcasm, tactivators did not exist "day one" and it costed gold to upgrade structures and repair armor.
  25. Don't do it again. I made the same mistake one time and never forget now. It's the same problem with any precursor whether it is for legendary weapon or armor.
