Tried it again and still nothing, but as far as i can tell the actual poison bolts do happen.

They put their BS in a sepparate sub so the buff spreads through everyone on the squad. > > > > This is false for benchmarks. The reason for Empower Allies is simply that they used it for a long time and it would've been a lot of work to do all of the pre-existing benchmarks for the sake of changed build. Nowadays Empower Allies is used in a lot of the record runs, but the build still doesn't have it by default simply because it's not really worth it. SC uses realistic buffs and LN uses most buffs for the ease of benchmarking. > > SC boss benchmarks use a warrior with empower allies. You can see it on the logs on their videos. If EA wasn't relevant for raid clears they wouldn't care about updating benchmarks with new numbers without that boon. > > Its a relevant boon **for them** and should be for every tryhard group that wants the clear record. They will always bring EA for their power clears. > > > > Edit: I'm not snowcrows, everything i'm saying is just from perception and what I think makes the most sense in my own mind. I really dobut they wouldn't re-benchmark everything just because "its too much", they're a group of possibly more than 10 people that dedicates to farm logs to present to a whole mmorpg community what a class is able to do. And there are less than 18 dps builds listed in there with their corresponding data. > > We won't know for certain the true reason of why they keep EA, but until they say anything about it, or someone ask them directly, i'm gonna keep believing its because EA BS is meta for them. From SC discord: "is empower allies still viable realistic buff? cause i feel like no one is playing tactics anymore maybe except when core bs is played. and AP is kinda used more am i right?" ""realistic buffs" are used simply as a way to help standardize the process and allow us to compare things more reliably" Also what you mean we dont know the true reason? Their EA usage is also listed in their discord. Harry: "VG, Gors, Sloth, KC, Mo, Samarog, Deimos, CA, Qadim and Adina" AP is also a "realistic buff" but its not used in any bencmark, even tho its used in their compositions btw.
  7. I dont like this, its already cheesed way too much already.

Anyways, water is kinda must trait. Arcane is cool as it lowers the CD of arcane shield so it is ready for every mind crush, tho also the dodge heal from arcane is very powerful just like boons on attunment swap. So there is a small trade off with lower shield CD or heal on dodge. Staff water 1 is big heal that you can aim on your feet which makes staff kinda great. But i assume you could kite with d/f aswell.

I do raid as well, just not enough because I picked up the game after 7 years and I dont have alot of LI and cba to do the trainings which fail more than I would want. > > I fell into strikes and have the kp to show it so getting into parties is quite easy. Same with fracts. Its just a lot easier than with 10 party raids. Ah i see. Yeah getting into raiding can be a bit anoying without guild that does em. More strikes would be welcome addition for sure.
  11. Its good that you enjoy them. You mentioned that you like boneskinner and whisper so you might enjoy raids aswell. Easier raids are atleast IMO easier than these 2 you mentioned.
  12. My favorite thing to do is to get together with my guildies in discord and go raiding. So far nothing else ingame hasn't offered me this kind of experience.
  13. There is few different builds for it. For traits you want either go with water/arcane/tempest or water/earth/tempest. For utility skills arcane shield is great against mind crush, rebound works aswell. Other utilities are more up to you, but some good examples are aftershock, flash freeze, earth shield and mist form. Sanctuary runes are your best bet i think, but there is many different runes that will work. Gearwise go as tough as tank allows you to go and fill rest with magis pieces. Staff is your weapon choise with superior and major sigil or reneval. Tempest is aids to use as HK but it will work. I have done it more than few times.

  15. Regen is big counter to raid boss dmg auras. For that reason alone i want it to stay as it is.

I didn't ask for balance complaints. > And please don't just link Snowcrows or metabattle or whatever other website. I've already done that, but I'll tell you now I've yet to see some of these builds running around since my time back. If you'd like to include casual builds, comfort builds, or even just changes to sigils and runes that have happened over the time I've been gone, I welcome that. > > Please don't continue derailing, though. Pug meta has changed from 2 chronos, 1 druid and 1 off heal into 1 chrono, 1 quickbrand, 1 alac renegade and druid. In a new composition its either quickbrand or alac that plays as second healer incase if 1 is needed. Some ppl also like to run with double chronos and 1 alac, that way chronos can go very offensive as they dont need much boon duration and they dont have to provide alacrity. Reaper is is alright for bug raiding, but its not even close to any actual meta, heal firebrand is used alot in pugs, condi thief is still a meme but power DD is in a good spot. Power DE is a niche class used at few bosses to cover some specific mechanics. Pugs still want chrono to tank most bosses but in actual meta its usually either alac or druid that tanks.
  17. If you want to train orb pushing, you can go to xera alone and push the pre event orbs, those are same as the KC core. Ofc this is not the solution you are asking for just a first aid.

  19. > @"nathan goossen.9546" said: > hallo all, > > im trying to decide what combo of classes is nice to start gearing for raids (DPS, power/condi) for alot of the bosses. > > any advice? > > thx for replayies Guardian and mesmer are pretty solid classes. Both offer good/meta pdps and cdps while also both has easy to pick up support builds that are on high demand. Power/condi soulbeast is not bad at all either and can be later geared for druid if you like that kind of gameplay.
  20. Infusions goes into ascended and legendary gear. Thats why they have infusions slots on them.
  21. > @"Terter.4125" said: > Thoughts on idea I have called "Guild Raids" ? > It's new concept of raid/s that can only be done by members from the same guild. You cannot pug it, cannot use the lfg system. The only way to do the raid is by combining the strength and knowledge of the members of the guild you represent. This can be a fun opportunity to implement a guild leaderboard with the best guilds there are(first clear, fastest clear, most clears, etc.). Arenanet can implement this option to the old raids as well by changing the old wings/bosses a bit, adding some new mechanics, visuals of the surrounding/bosses that can indicate that this indeed is a guild run. They can add the guild emblem all over the place when boss is killed indicating that the area is cleared and now owned by the guild and when a wing/boss is cleared there can be some daily/weekly/monthly bonuses like free chests, gathering nodes, vendors with exclusive items that all the guild members can go in and collect. The Guild Raid might be of 10/25/50 players and can be weekly or monthly cleared. The raid squad can go in, kill a boss and after that a mirrored version of the cleared part can be accessible by all the members of the same guild to feast on the goodies their guild mates cleared for them. > All of this can strengthen the members, the bonds, and the guilds in general, make the players dream of some day being a part in the guild squad force that are clearing the wings for their guild mates. I support this, are any kind of new guild missions tbh, current guild missions are outdated.

It's a way to calculate the damage output but not an accurate way to improve raid performances. > > Ok, so you get your dps meter, you see your dps is lower than on a golem or whatever and then... How exactly do you use that information to improve your raid performance? Logs? You can spot all your mistakes from there.
  23. You are asking something from anet for mac that they dont even offer for windows, arc dps alone is not supported by anet, they just tolerate it. It sounds a bit silly that you are asking anet to give you something that some1 else who doesn't work anet made.
