  1. The daily system, related to achievement points, was a terrible idea since the beginning of gw2.

They somehow managed to put an end on that system, but there's still seasonal stuff.

So don't worry, you will be farming forever if you are an ap farmer.

    > So I'm new to this raiding thing and wanted to try it out so i can get the "Hateful Sworl" precursor. So There I was after a long day joining a squad doing Hall of Chains and doing my best with my Barrier + Heal Scourge build (I'm a Necro main) ya know keeping people healthy and safe till we got up to Dhuum. So I was like "oh boy this the finally" and I'm being asked what my skill level is... So I told them I was new and got kicked instantly. Ok no biggy I'll find another group, so I joined another one and got kicked within 10 sec just for being a Necro and this happened with 3 other groups as well within 10 min of time. As a person with severe Social Anxiety this is not very motivating. I get insults thrown at me like "Noob go train" or "No Necros, Thieves..." and if I ask them if there is any problem they feel the need to humiliate me even more. Where did I think that interacting with people would go well. It causes me to eat myself up and ask "what did I do wrong ?" or "what could I have done to make it better". I'm just a person that tries to make something out of life after every setback and curve ball, but I guess if you're treated like an outcast in real life it also reflects online and there is no point trying to be something else. Anyone else in the same pandemonium ?

Toxicity apart, the reason ( and I chose to use the word reason instead of problem/issue, because it's something which is related to simple aspect of the game ) is that players take for granted that everybody knows which is the meta tier, and he has the right class for the right encounter.

Given a specific challenge, the players will try anything to lower the difficulty of the encounter, which includes:

    * Using voice chat.

    * Using the best build ( Profession, equipment, infusions, food, etc ).

    * Class Swap if needed ( everybody, since the game throws you equipment aoe, many players could bring support to party just by having more classes, and by knowing how they work ).

    * Recruit for the run only experience players ( with many tokens ).

    * Etc...

If you go not following this pattern, there's a higher possibility of losing time ( because of wipes, due to low dps, low heals, etc ).

And since the raid is made for up to 10 players, think what could happen if anybody try to play the way he wants.

At last, this is not a criticism.

I just explained what players want in order to save time and lower to increase to the top the chance of success.

Try playing a healing class, and going head-to-head with some of the amazing guild groups out thereYou don't get bags, XP, or anything for supporting the group....you just go to your second job, and mindlessly push buttons until a wipe/win, and then carry on. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Great system.

    That sucks indeed.

Strange they didn't find a way to fix it somehow.

  5. What about new content instead of putting resources into not so useful stuff?

  6. Since the game is about aesthetic, everything should be available for everybody.

Which doesn't mean that it should be for free, but only available.

Want a skin which is unlocked after 10 cm achievements? You can go for it.

Want a skin which is worth 9999 golds? You can go for it

Want a skin which is part of a bundle which cost 2k gems? You can go for it

Want a skin which is randomly dropped from BLC? Then it should be to be traded through tp, because skins locked within random chests are just a scam.

edit: about this specific one, isn't it sometimes for sale through streams/events/etc? A seasonal stuff i mean.

  7. The DD perk should have been the 3 endurance bars and the staff weapon.

The possibility to improve steal into swipe should have been a reworked minor or medium trait. Not a base trait.

I like the possibility to swap to swipe, but I don't like to be forced to it, since the class weren't meant for it.

    > So either your SSD got mad at you (there's a limited number of read/write cycles on SSDs after which it starts failing), so use a Disk diagnostics Software (Samsung has a great one) and check the health of your SSD. Otherwise might be that you still have updates to perform like graphics drivers, or even the latest SSD Firmware.

    >

    > Might also be a perception bias... If you're just updating now, it's probably because you bought into the "Windows 10 is the devil" propaganda, and you're noticing a lag that already existed but you neglected with w7, but now you're attributing to W10.

I don't know about my performance, because i mostly played spvp.

I just know for sure about salvaging ( It's not an alterated perception, since I happened to do this infinite times in a row, that's why I am more used at knowing my speed while salvaging than playing ).

Here's a pic after the ssd check.

Could you help explaining me if those values are good/normal or not?

edit: all drivers are up to date. I also tried a processor check and everything seemed fine

    > Any other changes to the system other than moving from W7 to W10? System specs? Whats CPU/GPU/HDD load while salvaging? Is it frame drops or game freeze? If you put the game in window mode do you still have the issue? If so, can you use the system? As in the game "lags", but you can still open other folders/programs/windows etc etc or has everything locked up? Have you installed all new fresh drivers for the HW for W10? How full is the SSD? 120GB is small and SSDs can run into issues and locking up a system when close to full depending on the model and how over provisioned it is, if it is at all.

**Any other changes to the system other than moving from W7 to W10?**

    No changes but the OS.

    **Whats CPU/GPU/HDD load while salvaging?**

The same. Between 65% and 75%

**If you put the game in window mode do you still have the issue?**

    Yes

**As in the game "lags", but you can still open other folders/programs/windows etc etc or has everything locked up? **

    Everything is fine

**Have you installed all new fresh drivers for the HW for W10?**

Guess just my gtx 770 drivers.

    **How full is the SSD?**

70/111 ( even more free space than before. let's say about 12/15 more gb ).

    I want to believe.

    https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/368508/#Comment_368508

This was my situation after 25 days ( 2h/d more or less ) salvaging ( I stopped, or now I would have infinite characters with full bags ).

I consume the normal ones and put the others in bank whenever i reach 250x, then when i want to, i just log the artificier, click on convert everything and do something else.

However, the best way, given the fact that they reduced the runes' drop, is to have an invisible bag ( the last of your bags ) with:

    * 10 stacks of common essences of luck

    * 2 stack per uncommon essences of luck

    * 1 stack of rare essences of luck

    * 1 stack of exotic essences of luck

Then clear everything every month, and repeat.

ps: every stack is composed by 1 single shard at the beginning.

**NB: The purpose of everything is not to wait for them to modify the game, but it's up to you to find a shortcut in the meanwhile, which could me days, weeks, months or even years.**

  12. got a little issue.

It seems that when i mass salvage stuff there's a little lag ( not after salvaging 3000+, because of the stacking loot, which only needs to load somewhere else of just relog ), which i didn't have with w7.

Could any1 help me with this in order to solve?

ps: ofc GW2 is still on my ssd.

    >

    > First off, we generally don't ban for "minor curse words," and we do so even less in PvP scenarios. We understand just as well as anyone else how heated things can be, especially when you just got killed for the 13th time by that guy on the enemy team. Context matters, and a few simple curse words are only going to result in a ban if they are used repetitively or alongside more targeted language or threats.

    >

    > To expand on the above - we take any sort of threat or prejudiced language very seriously. Unlike with simple curse words, a player running around telling others to kill themselves or using language that is hateful towards any group (racial, sexual, or otherwise) will almost definitely find themself with an account action, as will those who might reference certain illegal activities, such as inappropriate behavior with a minor.

    >

    > But, of course, all of that requires us to actually know that the problem is occurring, and that's where you all come in! We rely on your reports to find players who are behaving badly since, as outlined above, context matters, and even the most well thought out automated system or algorithm would make mistakes. As such, all account actions are enforced by actual agents who will read through chat logs and check a user's history before deciding whether to suspend an account and for how long. (Also - be patient! We deal with lots of reports, so it's not like that person is going to get the boot the moment you hit the report button.)

    >

    > Still, agents will make mistakes, and we are more than happy to take a second look if you feel you are being unfairly punished. However, we do ask that you have some patience with us and gracefully accept the outcome of our investigation, even if it's not what you were hoping for. If you fight us, we're less likely to be flexible, and you might even find yourself with a longer suspension if you're particularly unkind to our agents.

    >

    > The best advice I can give to anyone who might be dealing with unfriendly players is to just block and report them and move on. Don't engage them or retaliate, as tempting as it might be, as it can be far to easy to end up saying something that could actually be ban-worthy. Even though we take context into account, that doesn't give you the right to call someone a (censored for public consumption) "degenerate, skritt-for-brains moron." If you're a jerk in return, then you're just as likely to be actioned as the instigator.

    >

    > So, tl;dr - Be kind to one another, and when that doesn't work, just be the bigger person: Don't retaliate, don't escalate. Block them, report them, and move on. Go outside and get some fresh air, take in the sights around the Grove, or beat up on world bosses for a few hours instead, then head back into the Mists to keep pwning noobs. We'll handle the rest in due time!

    >

    > PS: Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a formal system for reporting or censoring pet names and similar, but we’re working on improving the system going forward. You’re free to still report them using the means available, but we won’t be able to guarantee a change given our current lack of a means to do so. Sorry. :(

Since we are discussing about it, could you explain us why ANET is against players which provide proof of other players' exploits?

    Like screens or videos.

  14. I have to say that currently is way more balanced than before.

It provides a profit which is more or less 50% of the cost ( and here I am waiting for you my friend Was Na :d ), and some exotic item ( 1 out of 800 unidentified gear, more or less ).

Currently I moved to W10, and every time i salvage it's way slower than w7.

Don't know if it's something i could fix or not, but I am telling you this because The amount of gold per hour which I happened to see, 60/70g, is slightly not accurate due to this fact.

    Everything else seems fine.

Ps: I see that they somehow fixed the runes drop salvaging, but I didn't find how the whole thing was modified, nor why the runes cose from 2 to 22 silver pieces.

Pps: Also, after 1 whole year, luck still continue to drop and has no use at all.

    >

    > Why won’t it have the double check. If they stole the account then they’ll have the password. If the person doesn’t have the verification they can then get into the account information and set it up (That’s one of the known ways they lock the true owners out of their own account. People have posted on the forum and Reddit how their stolen account has the thief’s mobile verification set up). As for not having any confirmed trades, what makes you think they won’t? I’m sure accounts that have traded before can have their account stolen also.

    >

    > Edit: if they can get into the account email and find the information from the purchase they can contact support, be confirmed as the owner using information from the email, have support remove any mobile verification and then change the password and put in their own verification.

My point was simply that it could have happened before the sms verification, or maybe with old accounts which haven't been used since the introduction of the security system.

If you lose your account because you don't use the sms verification, then you deserve anything.

Ps: also, the further the game goes, the more ap will be required. There’s definitely a very very small possibility that the user decides to exploit.

And if all players have sms security and trade with xxxxx ap players, i can hardly see a scam happen.

It would be the first time an account, which is elegible for trading outside the tp because of its ap, will make a trade.

The one which wants to trade with him will consider it. But to say that he should or shouldn't it's up to him.
