    Yea, except that just the gamestyle you prefer, a lot of people do raids because it's hard and engaging in a group content. It's not the raider fault if other people don't want to do "hard" group content together and so have less supply, raids profits is already a joke anyway, you will get way more gold in openworld so your argument is already felling.

     

    If people love raids, it's because it's engaging, you can't be brainless except if you really know the fight by hearth and have a perfect team, which is rarely the case, even in roster or raid guild.

     

    Raider don't play the raid in group because it's forced, it's because it's in group and is not braindead that they play the thing.

    And why a gamemode can't have something to him like lore or story to it just because you don't like it, it's pure entitilement, i don't play wvw or spvp, but i will not care if they get exclusive rewards, it's not like i can't go play them to get them, i could get to it and get it. Plus side note, most of lore behind raids are not even related to the main plot but more gw1 or backstory.

     

    Openworld players have like +30 legendary gear they can get, but god, when they can't get one armor and one ring it's heresy. Even if it's usless for casual player to switch stats opposed to wvw/HL content where it's usful to switch stats often.

     

    Sure a story mode will be nice, but like everyone said it here, there should be no raid reward in it, maybe some skins unique to it. But it's a story mode anyway, it's should only be here for the story or to train.

  2. People that complain that any gamemode have exclusive story or rewards is dumb, even wvw/spvp that i don't play because i don't care of them, they should have their own reward.

    And raids are not that hard honestly, as long you know well how the game work you understand how to create a team that can easely do most of the boss (not SpeedClear comp, they are not meant to be to be play by newbie). (And most of raids reward are usless outside of the raids anyway).

     

    A story mode will be nice yes, if you clear the instance to come back after, you will only have the final dialogs to replay at the npc, not everything.

     

    Raids are probably the most engaging content of the game with pvp/wvw honestly, since in pvp/wvw, you will always have human nature of the ennemies, predict things and others. In raids you have your allies as your ennemy, and an always mentality to get better for a big part of this community (work for Fractals to).

    Theses three gamemode also have theory crafting and everything tide to it. Not for everyone but he, it's a MMO with various players, everyone should be able to get their own things, and openworld people get way more story/contents that the other.

     

    Meta events are probably fun for the first times, but become the same thing without nothing news after and you only do the same thing again and again.

  4. Do you know how this event work ? or you litteraly got tp after the Mouth of Mordremoth get killed at the beginning ?

     

    If you don't, after you kill it there is a chest that spawn on the top of the tree where is head was impalled. That the chest reward.

    There is also a lot of Noxious Pod (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Noxious_Pod), that spawn on each line for each step-event completed that you can open with an machette that you drop for completing the event or a lot in the hero choice chest if you choose the Pact Commando Crate (i always choose it theses days since almagame gemstone worth nothing now).

     

    There is also some treassure mushroom that spawn after the event.

     

    There is also a timer to finish it and if you fail to do it before the end of it, the map got reset and you get tp at the start of the map with the event reset.

  5. Anyway, i think using a token system like dungeon will be better.

    What is better to have more players doing the content :

    -Having a system with super rare drop where only a few relly do it everyday for years without dropping the full weapons and other not brothering because of the super low drop rate.

    -Having a token systemt that ask you to farm it everyday for a few months to get every weapons ? where every people interessted in skins will do it everyday because they know it's not relate by pure rng and will get it (and newcommer to will come).

     

    And if you don't want more currency and don't want an item that take up slots, you can just use achievement that give a box with the skins to chose every x kill of the world boss.

    Didn't know that, well it's give to people upgrading their f2p account, but it's really hard to get no dlc upgrade nowday even if it's still possible so i didn't take that into account

  12. Well where i understand it's a shame aenet didn't ptu checkpoint, it's really boring to do everythign again and it's really long.

     

    But honestly it's easy to do, i did all the achievement as a weaver, like the most carpet class of the game with the less survivability and is in melee all the achiviement in two try.

     

    And that only because i forget to put on the challenge mote in the first time, overwise it's will be in one try.

     

    They should probably do it, but they wouln't as it's don't give any money to spend time fixing a thing that can only be done one time by people that do the achivement and haven't go it yet care.

    Shame but it's really a minor thing honestly.

    Honestly people will say gardian or mesmer, but in reality, any class have thousands of build if you play it to min max it, if you really don't care go for theses two class, but in reality, even the class with the less meta build of the game will have a dozen build from the fact that every endgame endboss is better with some runes, or some sigils/stats from 5% to even 20% more dps for the damage build only, it's worst for the support builds that have so many variants.

     

    So if you have a main, go for it, if you don't gardian/mesmer if you stick to "satic meta build" and don't care about the last min maxing on each ecounter

    most of the update are for the larger portion of the plyaer base, in 1 year, we only got one content that is not for the larger portion of the player base (aka cm 100, and that just a mode for a content (new fractal) that is played by a big part of the playerbase), even if i'm not playing it i'm not against, this kind of logic will make wvw, pvp, raids, cm or others thing like that where most of dedicated players of the game stay, dead. Without speaking about new stuff like SAB that will never exist with this logic.

    I think it's true, with a drop rate so low, except the one that really farm it for months, (some people still haven't dropped taqualt weapons after 1year), it's will be liki a mini chakk egg situation, it's will just be one people out of a big pool that will drop it, except it's can't be sell and there is a big chance this player will not care about.

    Definitly higher than tequalt for sure, but still seem like 1-5% (way more than tequalt), but still quite low if you want the whole set, hum, if it's 1% it's dead for the whole set.

  18. Like i said why they even exist if it's to put nightmare on people that like to collect things.

    If it's was something like the super omega rare infusion like chakk that can be bought, why not, at least you can buy it, but theses things... you can't buy it, even if you do the bosses for multiple years you will never get the full set, if it's was a higher drop chance, why not, it's will be a full set for people that dedicate time for faming them everyday for 5months to 1 year why not, but even people that do that get at most 2-3 skins from what we see in the tequalt drop rate videos.

    I don't even care if it's asceneded or not, people just want to collect the skins, but there is just no way to get them.

    You can't even get them in wardrobe unlock.

     

    What is your opinion on it ?

  19. Funny thing, hfb is not even meta on cm fractal, it's the heal renega with a quickbrand that is meta. and if you want to be ever more meta, you go with prenegat and no heal.

    HFB is just pug "meta" because it's can be more forgivin for failed mechanics oposed to heal ren

     

    Not sure how i feal now with the new cfb that is meta on 100 and guardian being everywhere in endgame (including wvw and raids) but he, i guess main gardian are happy. I have one endgame content where my ele is meta (old cms) and i'm happy that i can play it in one part of the endgame even if it's not everywhere.

  20. A while ago (i forget when but a long time ago), the devs were working on a new gamemode for wvw that kinda work like a tower defense but in a WvW format for WvW.

     

    The rules will be basicly a team attack and the others defend, the attack team can only capture and the defense team can't recap. And the map will be more adapted for this.

    The goal was to have players more invested for the match as it's will way more short than the current so they really contribute instead of just keeping their participation up and doing nothing really.

     

    They cancelled because they didn't want the community of WvW to be split in two.

     

    Will you up for this kind of things ? And why not another format that is more shorter than the currents matchs ?

    Seriously, just link the local server between them, we had 5 french server merge into 2 full french and one monster that is english/deutch/french now, will be way better to do it to 3 full french server or merge 3 french server into one so we have 2.
