  1. During the demo I thought it was garbage. But after live it's my main go to class for bounty trains. I'm able to switch between ranged and melee without feeling like I'm missing out on damage all that much, nice group utility with the spirits, and surprisingly more survivable than trying to play sword dagger weaver, firebrand, or mirage. Well, actually, condi soulbeast is pretty nice for bounty trains as well and has ranged/melee option.

As far as open world general use I haven't really struggled on my renegade. All in all leagues better than what it was in the demo but it still could probably use a little bit of energy cost reduction for more ability usage.

  2. Not sure how you would abuse anything by doing this that you can't already do with void jumping or current implementation. I've tried getting into certain areas in the new maps and they're pretty solid as far as breaking out or getting into places you shouldn't goes. I was able to break out of Highlands fairly easily and wasn't even really trying but if you stray too far you will be killed. So it's not like you have a huge advantage in doing so.

As far as older maps go, I was able to get into the tallest castle part of Divinity's Reach with current mount implementation until I ran out of objects with collision.

Where are people thinking they're going to be able to get to by doing this that they can't already?

I don't really see the harm in it to be honest and it would be nice to be able to ride a raptor, dismount, glide, and then switch to griffon for some of the areas that require you to glide/jump over without having to dismount immediately before jumping assuming you don't enter combat with a mob and have to kill it or run around and drop combat.

With the griffon it's not as necessary as I thought it would be going into the expansion though so it's really fine either way.

  3. As many others, this guild hall is significantly smaller and less elaborate than the former. A few things I would love to see and was hoping to see with the further exploration was a little less rubble and a few more buildings.

But my main two suggestions would be the following:

    1. The invisible walls are REALLY snug on the hall. You can see some interesting areas just outside of the map boundaries like a nice little area directly right of the entrance waypoint with a rocky ravine area and a stream. It would be great if the barrier would be extended to include this area as well as be pushed further out to the higher temple area in the bottom of the map where the jumping puzzle collapsed bridge starts. It pretty much fits so tight that if you can barely even get into one of the temples without hitting the invisible wall.

    2. The one thing I was hoping for with the further exploration that I feel was really missed out on was the potential for hidden areas, such as a medium sized underground grotto area similar to the area in the highlands that connects the coast to the salt flats or the area in Elon river lands with the corsairs. It had a lot of potential for neat hidden areas or caves but the hall itself seems significantly less complex. If it's intended to be less complex, that's fine, but shouldn't the cost of upgrading it reflect this?

    3. One thing that would be cool although a major lore breaker would be to have a portal leading to kesho or the library in the story mission.

I know it's highly unlikely that any changes will be made to the hall now that it's been released, but these are a few things I would have loved to see in the hall. At the very least it would be nice to have the map boundaries a little less confined in certain areas. I know a lot of people complain about it already having too many decorations, but I don't think that would be as much of an issue if the space itself was so simplistic. Having a nice little grotto and perhaps with some old forgotten ruins underneath would be pretty sweet!

Side note- I'm highly surprised with all of the new dwarven architecture that there wasn't a dwarven themed guild hall!

All this being said it is pretty, but it definitely isn't as interesting as the previous two guild halls from an exploration perspective. I'm still finding some probably unintentional hidden cave areas in the gilded hollow and for an expansion that introduces mounts and new movement mechanics the windswept haven doesn't really give a lot of incentive for any of these new mounts.

  4. Has anyone found/lit all the torches in the southern area near the Jackel mastery point puzzle? They're extremely hard to see but I assume something happens when they're all lit. I just can't deal with the 50502093923090293920302939020302930923902302303202309029309233902 mobs hitting me while trying to find the extremely hard to see unlit torches.

Does it open up a portal somewhere in the empty fountain looking area with the two torches?

  5. I don't mind any of the abilities, I think they are good and flow nicely, but the power damage is really low. Since we're apparently never going to get a grevious insignia, I'm sticking with just power. Good survivability but it would be nice to have a bit more burst. It is slow. Air especially is slow and should be the fastest one.

All in all, speed them up and increase power and I'll be content. I still enjoy the spec a lot and it has a lot more fluidity than I thought it would once you get used to the rotation and develop the muscle memory. Just wish that in full glass gear I wasn't putting out less damage than other weapon sets or a tempest overload.

Tempest in general seems to still be much higher damage but I haven't really tried too much with staff other than a few bounties which are next to impossible to get a good idea for dps anyway due to their mechanics messing up rotations.

  6. Funerary weapons show up as something you can put in the mystic forge, but you can't combine them with each other for a random exotic. I've tried tossing in random materials to see if any other showed up. Tried Vision Crystal/Ectos/Mystic Coins/Dust/random mat drops from PoF. Among a few other things.

Any idea if this could be used for something? Any suggestions to try?

  7. I'm a little confused as to why I get an infraction for a post addressed to the devs asking them about what they learned from elite specs during the demo saying that anything addressed "to the devs" was a distraction yet this post keeps going without any notice. It's not the only instance I've seen and I'm sure I'll get another infraction for just mentioning it. But whatever.

As to the actual post, from a player perspective, I've rushed through the mount masteries and story. But I still feel like there's quite a bit to do in terms of achievements and finding story pages or even little hidden areas I didn't see before. Pretty sure I haven't done half of the events either so there's still quite a bit to see. Also the adventures if I choose to do those, and the random treasure map hunting that's tedious and not a mechanic I wanted to see expanded upon but something to do in downtime at least.

On top of all that and build crafting it's enough to hold people over. The collection achievements in general are going to take quite awhile. Plus all the decorations I have to make for my new guild hall! (But please add more, please!)

  8. I did a long bounty train last night and had a blast with Kalla. It seemed like I was a lot more useful too. As far as numbers I couldn't tell but it seemed like when I wasn't being chain knocked-down or outside of any of the 10000 annoying legendary bounty mechanics I was putting out pretty good numbers!

  9. As others have mentioned, the overlay creates a black line across the screen. Not that noticeable but it is there.

BIGGEST ISSUE - the fps is abysmal in the branded area or near the branded area. Trying to do a bounty in this area or the event without switching my graphics setting to performance only settings is next to impossible. This is the only place I have this issue. It's worse than a 3 man zerg fight in the middle of SM castle. I think there is something seriously wrong with this area for it to drop my fps to 10 on max performance when max performance in other areas with the same amount of people would give me like 40 fps. Is it the lightning? What is causing this huge drop?

SECOND BIGGEST ISSUE - and really the last - Serpent's Ire.

As the last thing I need for the glove collection it is extremely frustrating that this meta is near impossible. Not only is everyone still going after griffons are doing constant bounty trains for whatever reason, but nobody even wants to attempt this event because it seems to be scaled for a raid of 300 people with nothing but crowd control builds. If the meta doesn't get changed, can we at least get the collection item to drop from the pre-event and require killing one of the zealots while we're looking for them beforehand?

Of course this event is doubly frustrating because the aforementioned issue of the fps drop and having to rework my settings specifically for this area of the map.

  10. It happened to someone else constantly earlier. I haven't even attempted it again. I don't know how everyone else has completed it and only a select few are having issues with these constant disconnects. Not only is it long due to the first fight, but it's also the most suspenseful episode yet. Which just makes it even more frustrating...

  11. Well I would say don't bother because you'll just get disconnected from server in his next reappearance episode, but it seems due to the lack of comments on my threads and nobody saying jack shit to me in general chat that I'm apparently the only one on the fucking planet that this is happening to.

I guess I'll just read the forums and watch youtube videos about the story because I sure as shit can't play it.

  12. Don't bother, you'll just get disconnected if you manage to beat him and have to do all of it all over again. The obnoxious first boss, the 30 minute long walking from memory to memory, and then the third boss. Oh, and the 5 minute speech when you first get in.

The absolute perfect mission to be continuously disconnected on. A real blast.

  13. It seems to have trouble loading the second part of the instance.

Even then, I made it all the way to the end, defeated the last boss, and it dc'd before I was able to get credit and be done with it.

    DC every single time.

So, I guess I just won't be doing anything story related from now on. Such a huge disappointment.

  14. Something going to be done with this disconnecting bullshit?

Fourth time and actually made it all the way to the very end this time.

Not to mention every encounter in this instance is a tedious pain in the ass and by far the worst one of the entire story so far.

Of course trying to do it on a weaver that does next to no damage doesn't help.
