The irony in the fact that the post right after yours is someone saying they don't want to pay money at all for capes.

I really wish that character outlines were separate from post processing.

I'm going to be passing on the sale. I have seen people complaining about the sale on the subreddit and so I also think people need to let go of the mentality that any company *has* to do a black friday sale and that it *has* to be some mega awesome super deal.
I will snag me some free items though.

Why are you so upset at this? What are they doing beside being afk that has you thinking they are abusing?
-
Could I theoretically try and cheese this by having a full party spread out around the outside edge?

Yeah, it is clearly the point.
-
I think they are talking about the image which has the champion circle around it because the player is using the boneskinner tonic
-
Yeah, I swear I got to him fast enough and it still didn't give me the achievement either.
-
I didn't even bat an eye to buy it because I had the ingots from achievements. I don't know how rare they are to get from the chests yet.

It is because it is a cutscene. Sometimes cutscenes will make my game go not responding but I will still hear some sounds. The only thing I can do is just leave it there and wait because no matter how many times I close the game and restart it, it will keep happening. One cutscene took me 20 minutes of just waiting while my game was not responding before it finally played.

Pretty sure that is the point of the ice effects.

Uhm, no she went out in a fight, if you actually paid attention.

The new icon looks like a cartoon. It immediately threw me off so I went and looked at some old screencaps and, sure enough, they changed the UI.
But *why*?

What are you planning on using the character for?
For end game like fractals and raids, ranger has a lot of versatility at the expense of needing multiple sets of gear for each build. It can be condi dps, it can be power dps, it can be a healer, it can even do a special role called hand kiting.
For engineer you can be an amazing power dps. It used to be really good condi dps but got nerfed a while back and I am unsure if it recovered since I have only payed attention to power holo. Engi has a little bit more flexibility in skills that you can easily swap out to match the situation than ranger.
Both are pretty decent in WvW. Holo are powerful solo roamers and scrappers can be great healers for a zerg. Soulbeasts are great at picking people off walls when you are sieging.
For general PvE, they are both good but personally I think ranger is better. Having a pet that can rez you it great. And the skills it has are pretty good for solo play.

[NA Servers] On the 22nd starting at around 2am UTC the guilds [RnT] and [EVOS] are going to be guild spawning the event and teaching people how to command and do defensive roles.
Anyone is welcome to come if they are interested in learning what makes this world boss different from all the others.
Feel free to contact me privately if you are interested in going, I have a discord link for people.

> which aren't really hard to implement at all
Do you have any idea how much coding would be involved in something like this? Especially for features that change some of the core game functions like bank and currencies.
-
I don't like this idea because it will mean no new players get to experience the world the way it was before or that new players will be locked in old dead maps with no population until they reach a certain point in the story and get moved to the new ones.
I don't mind reworking older content to make it more engaging, have better rewards, etc. But I stand firmly against anything that would remove old content or drastically change the world in a way that makes it so that new people feel like they have missed out on something that was there before.

Bigger instances? No, I don't think that would fit in the gem store. But cosmetic changes? Totally.
Like changing the look of the instance to be all charr metalwork or something, that would fit right into the gemstore's way of doing things.
Maybe some gemstore items that are specific furniture or pets that run around your home instance.
But making it bigger sounds more like something that would be done via collection quests or an upgrade for mats system like guild halls.
-
If they were to upgrade either I think Frozen Maw would be the more important one to look at.
They could also use the update to reduce particle effects so it stops being a lagfest and killing the fps of everyone there.

If you are REALLY that concerned you can try and get a video that gets all the behavior you have talked about in this thread in one unedited go and then file a help ticket about it.
But you should also keep in mind that most games do bans in waves so people who use cheats can't be entirely sure which cheat was the one that got them banned and find a way to keep cheating. So just because you don't see anything happening immediately doesn't mean they aren't going to get punished.

1 - Yes, but they are bought with gems so you can convert gold to get them
2 - There won't be another expansion anytime soon, so yes
3 - I've always seen people on the maps
4 - If you like story I would say yes. As well as to gain access to all the mounts.
5 - There will always be mobs with those kinds of things, but you just have to learn how to avoid or mitigate those kinds of effects by dodging and and using skills

> I have multiple players 5 plus years old,,what i mean is I have not got the types of items the suggestion I gave through log in rewards. " example" let say you have 100 teleport to a friends,,are you really going to use all ...prolly not so there for its basically a waste in your inventory all I am suggestion is a way to actually use the same item you already have as a trade in on something you can use and or want.
Being able to trade in freebie items for other items that you have to either buy gems or convert gold for is not going to happen. I shouldn't have to explain why because that should be obvious.

RIP Engi leather farm :'(

The problem with this suggestion is that quite of a few of these items can be obtained through log in rewards. This would essentially give people free statuettes.

I'm glad that they managed to make the capes have dye channels. I hope this means new non-cape backpacks can also have dye channels in the future. I wonder how they managed to fix the coding that kept it from being a thing before.
I also hope they make more capes as rewards as well as having gem store capes.
