  1. personally i think Dhuumfire is more comming from his gw1 skill Judgment of Dhuum, wich also dealth fire damage, Dhuum has some connection with fire
  2. i like that idea of the shell, especially the size of his gw1 version is a good size for a battle that actually makes it believable, and not liek stabbing a toenail 10.000 times and it dies
  3. with primordus in gw1, wasnt it a head, neck and some weird tendrils going down, maybe thats why his head is so big in gw2, he is just like pacman, he is just a head with some tendrils, and he just habba habba habb's through the ground
  4. what about the female human/norn/sylvari greatsword stance? i know its an actual greatsword stance, but there are better stances and running, why cant my character hold the blade in front of her, you know, where the attacks are comming from, with the sword held back she is wide open for enemy attacks.... and dont come with its too heavy, greatsword normally weigh around 2kg, maybe 3kg at max
  5. i think they get updated from time to time, with itesm going in and out the statueete loot table
  6. check the blak lion statuette's thats where normally the things from the black chests go

  8. it may just be a game mechanic, but this could also be used in the end, having them overlay a different effect at the end of the story after primordus died and they no longer need to be stone or something
  9. lets bring in a new idea: what if Primordus and Jormag are connected twins like dragonball's gods of life and destruction, and that when we klill Primordus, Jormag dies too, both of them just dont know (yet) this will happen
  10. > @"Fipmip.7219" said: > I never thought of trahearne as stealing credit. If you think about the original story, he organizes the pact and cleanses orr. The commander is sent on missions by trahearne and is generally used as a beat stick to clear out key objectives and kill high ranking enemies. The backup, the means, the intel, is mostly provided by allies. You get to be the sword that kills the foe, but you were wielded by trahearne. I think perhaps people might have whined due to not getting enough recognition in the dialogue, perhaps being referred to as the dragon slayer might have helped. But I never truly understood it. In any case, I think giving full reigns to the commander wasn't really the right move. the commander at this stage feels more like a plot device than a character. i agree with this, but this is probably not what people dislike him, its the way it is is portrayed, and the voice actor. same with game of thrones's final season, i understand she had to go mad and arya had to ignore her list, but it was all portrayed so badly. But i have a feeling thats very common these days, alot of great stories are ruined because things arent portrayed in a way that makes sence and blatand disregard for established lore
  11. 1) Given that Tyria is a globe and The Grove is somewhere north of the equator the exact sunrise and sunset times will vary througout the year. So working out which cycle each sylvari belongs to involves tracking sunrise/sunset times and calculating the cycles based on that. If a sylvari awakens right at the moment it changes from one cycle to the next they'll either have some calculation for working it out (like astrologers do for people who are born on the night of the 'switch' between one sun sign and the next) or they'll let the individual or someone responsible choose which cycle they belong to. im not so sure the axle of Tyria is tilted as earth is, doesnt look like tyria has different seasons, the snow with wintersday is magically created, so does the sunrise vary?
  12. this is alsom the lore forum, old lore is just as relevant as new lore, cant really necro in a lore forum as it can always be relevant (sidenote i still hope the maps of EOD are a mix, shing jae can be like queensdale, flat with some caves and hills, shing jae bing vertical maze, jade sea being flat like elon riverlands, and echovald having a canopy level also
  13. didnt the defs say the 'mother' kralkatorik mentioned revert to Glint? aurene's mother. it was just not written properly into the dialogue
  14. now hat i think about it, balthazar being bored, while we still have menzies, make speople think menzies is dead, but isnt the FOW kinda like an eternal game of chess, and balthazar got bored with that as he wanted a real battle, seeing that kralkatorirk's chunk of the FOW also toom some shadow army, the shadow army isnt gone, make sme think that eternal game of FOW chess hasnt ended, it just got boring.
  15. i think we need to invent a new word for either the singular or plural , im going for maybe "Si" (from sibbling, wich is also gender neutral)

Trahearne at least respects you. > everytime some npc ingame mentions kormir i always envision my character to yell out "screw you kormir" (in cosider my main character to be the same as gw1)
  17. i still have no idea what that whole event timer was and what it did, was it just for that little bit extra loot?

Crystal bloom support marks are a "token" that shows participation. Its sad players have to be the ones to explain what's going on instead of the game being self-evident. But thats also the point, you dont need any token, you need a very specific token, if the text would say earn " support marks" as this is the Crystal Bloom Support mark, i suspect the next one to be the Ebon Vanguard Support Mark. also from what i understand from ingame chats what people are a bit frustrated about is not the missions themselves, but the lack of communication. all with questions like: what do i do now?, do i have to wait? if this quest had an extra red text orso under it that said "the mission will continue with further releases within the coming weeks" then it would give alot less questioins about what to do next and: "buying items with Crystal Bloom Support Tokens will give extra rewards the higher the tier gets" if it said that under the tierlist
  19. im more trying to find out what tokens they ask for to contribute. are they the crystal bloom support marks? than why doesnt it say "earn support marks and purchase rewards"
