  1. There's a way to make a custom ingame playlist that's shown somewhere on the wiki, which even includes what plays on death. I've never done it but found the possibility neat once I heard of it. Perhaps someone more enlightened than I can link you to it.
  2. Agreed 100%. Ever since condi thief was nerfed in PvE due to PvP complaints, two of my favorite thieves made specifically with a condi theme in mind hasn't come off the bench in years...

The Palawa Joko quote was just a little jab at how a lot of people choose to look, not that I didn't know the purpose of a Makeover Kit. I'm just saying that, if all that's going to be done is change the appearance, either mildly or extreme, no matter what it looks like; nothing map-related, story, or lorewise would have to be adjusted, as deep down beneath all of the changes, you're still "Commander" to the rest of the game. And that alone would increase the possibility of such a kit. > > Oh! Well I mentioned that because one of the arguments about adding "Tengu" was that you would have to change the story because it wouldn't make sense for them to fight Zhaitan or something. And while the ELITE makeover kit would not be adding things that would alter your character's race necessarily, there are some people who hate infusion and even some things out of the basic makeover kit because it is immersion breaking. (neon hair for example.) So I had to also include that my idea ties in with the story too a little bit without relying on the usual tonic or infusion gimmick but also helping to generate revenue for the game. > > Do I think it will be as wildly popular, no - due to the cost. I think it would sit around the same place exclusive single mount licenses sit. Though : imagine if they stuck an ELITE makeover kit in Black Lion Chests! > Dude, imagine being able to have a human with scars on their body? Not just their face? Or even a charr. Charr branding tatts, and asura with tattoos. There's so many possibilities. > > No longer typing from a phone. Hurray! At any rate, I do believe this is plausible to an extent, so long as the base race (model appearance) doesn't change. An Awakened, Branded, scarred, tattooed, whatever human for example could just be a new skin texture. They haven't added any new skin textures yet, but it would be nice; while hair and eyes are already done. Charr tails looking different also seems like a possibility, but I wouldn't expect things like earrings. At most, it'd be something baked into a specific hair style. Otherwise it'd be expanding on character options that aren't already accounted for in some way. Might be rough considering the game's "spaghetti code." Since you mentioned Battle Tonics, those often change your appearance to such an extent that they'd likely not get behind whatever someone's humanoid (or feline-esque) tonic would look like with armor on it. Especially given how long it took them to release capes saying that clipping was one of their greater concerns. However, the argument that it'd be immersion-breaking wouldn't mean much. Everything can or cannot be immersion-breaking to _someone_, as everyone's got opinions, and so that shouldn't matter. I'm not for a single moment compelled to believe that a great slayer of dragons and legendary wielder of the Pale Mother's Caladbolg is some eldritch, pulsating effigy of glowing infusions (but maybe some are, and that's fine!). All in all, I still believe _some_ of it can be done; I'd just like such things included in the existing Total Makeover Kit, personally. But anything beyond that enters into the "new race" field, which, as you're probably sure, comes with all sorts of obstacles making the task unrealistic and financially… unwise.

I'd love additions to the existing kit, as would many others, though your concerns are by default not a conflict. > > Makeover kits aren't about what you wear, it's about your character's skin, hair and eyes: their body. My concept is that an Elite Makeover kit provides exclusive full body transformations similar to infusions or potions without any of the drawbacks . My idea is to add options which tie in to factions which appeared in the story. The biggest example being the Awakened: one of the undead created by Joko. Another idea might be cleansed Branded: skin embedded with Aurene's crystals. > > The "conflict" is that there are a few people who want to see new races but creating new races often involves making new armor, new maps, recording new dialogue. We have battle tonics but you can't customize them, or use your mounts. We have infusions but those sometimes come with stats we don't want, or don't work with certain hair (Example Toy Shell infusion changes your skin , hair and eyes however it does not work with all hair. This can be an expensive disappointment for someone.) They can also be extremely hard to get, depending on luck. > > Why have a completely separate kit? Because this option would cost more due to the extensive nature of it. It would not make sense to make all makeover kits cost double for this addition. In before "but then it's pointless" - remember we have separate hair kits for similar reasons. Oh, nono. 5. My favorites are physical skills for that visual flare of doing fancy feats. Or just kicking things. CCing is nice too.
  6. The only thing that bugs me a bit is when the BLCs decide to give me Hairstyle Kits while it knows I have the permanent one in my shared inventory. :(
  7. You lost me. What do Makeover Kits have to do with the story or maps? A Makeover Kit is just to make the commander look as non-ideal for a commander as one can imagine-- Palawa Joko: _"While we're having this little chat... Who dresses you? I mean, really? You wore THAT for this occasion?"_ --but they're still "Commander." I'd love additions to the existing kit, as would many others, though your concerns are by default not a conflict.
  8. I as well would like the option of doing more than just producing white numbers with the class.
  9. Three dimensional rotation and camera panning options on the hero menu and everything that can be previewed. And ESPECIALLY on things that are gem store exclusive.
  10. Oh, and hopefully it won't have mobs with spammy knockdowns either. CC coming from trash mobs is just vexing/ feels like unneeded delays of the inevitable.
  11. I feel like HoT and PoF difficulty is similar, though I've been told HoT was nerfed and used to be more dangerous. Can't confirm; don't remember. The only obvious difference to me seems to be where hero challenges are concerned. But, I mean, where HoT had frogs, PoF had veteran djinn. Where HoT had big dinosaurs, PoF had Canids. They seem similar, though PoF I'll admit often had aggro ranges about as far as Melee Marth's grab range. Also, helping newbies with HPs is always fun. :) Either in showing off while soloing or all aboard the train!!!
  12. I did notice it was different between my human and sylvari but never knew if and when it was changed.
  13. An addition to emote commands (example: /sit s, /wave s) that let's you perform an emote silently, and not announce to the whole map that you moved a little.
  14. > @"Mortifera.6138" said: > What hairstyles would you like to see? Other than buns on females, they’ve done pretty much all the popular ones already. I know it's on the forum somewhere, but I don't remember where. I'd like just straight, long grass hair for Sylvari. Also the ponytail that the beta designed Sylvari had (but made to look more "current game"ish. https://i.pinimg.com/474x/e6/bd/f4/e6bdf446084526b40bd994fc5e68b3ef--guild-wars-sylvari-character-concept-art.jpg). And also the branch hair the NPC, Cymbel, has.

Kind of like how Revenant has Ancient Echo while Herald and Renegade do not. > > The thing is rev get its full trait line effect even if it dose not use the right wepon all though i do not know if it gets its full effect of its lengedays. I understand elite spec should be strong in one places or another but core ele lacks a massive amount when its not in the right atument as its traits line example if its not in fire it loses a lot of its power not because of the lack of dmg kill but because the lost of the full traits of fire. You can say the same with support to a point (its hard to heal out side of water for core ele by a lot) but at least let soothing mist always go off. The thing that's an issue though is that making those traits active at all times, as nice as that would be, would still be essentially empowering builds utilizing an elite spec. So it'd in the end still have core elementalist be an undesirable option as even though it can use three core specializations, an elite specialization is still better for the niche it's intending to tackle. But this isnt unique to ele! On the buff side of things, there's suggesting a core-only implementation akin to Ancient Echo, while on the nerf side of things, there's the suggestion of "tradeoffs" that were explored across some professions a year ago. The latter of course is more unpopular, but no harm in discussing it!
  16. @"Jski.6180" It's sounding like what you're desiring is some kind of stronger, core-only implementation that will make not choosing an elite specialization more appealing. Kind of like how Revenant has Ancient Echo while Herald and Renegade do not.
  17. A permanent Total Makeover Kit. Would make available all NPC emotes and armor that are for the playable races. Dye channels to weapons and some old back items. Dye channels to ... skill effects (like having an elementalist with red lightning or something). A gem store bundle toy that allows you to costume brawl... as your profession, enabling a pseudo, playful way to PvP in PvE. Cliff edge grabbing and pull up Mastery. The ability to knock trash mobs off cliffs and have them die to falling damage. ... Stuff.
  18. As long as whatever happens isn't rushed out and incomplete, I'm good.
  19. Yes to the second bullet point, since it was an "or" question. Thus, I'm not in favor of four traitlines to have on at all times, but I'd like more trait options to choose from, for both the sake of build experimenting again and also to reduce those times when a trait functionality is redesigned into something no one needed while also killing off options of things previously preferred.
  20. @"Blackrystal.3508" You're going to need multiple builds, two at the least. Everyone is naming classes, which is fine, but the message of your post (not the title) suggests that you're looking for a singular build for both. What's meta for fractals--group content--is by definition incompatible with soloing. www.metabattle.com can help with your open world needs. www.discretize.eu for your fractal needs.
  21. I've always wanted a high health, medium armor choice as ... a tenth profession. It probably won't ever happen though.
  22. We used to have Amulet + Upgrade Component in amulet way back when.
