  1. Crecia is the new imperator because she's second in command before Bangar, and now that Bangar is more or less out of the picture... Same deal for Smodur, Mia Kindleshot being second in command is going to take his place. Triple ditto if you think back to Efram replacing Gaharen.

You're not wrong, but I promise you Anet is not the type to have the foresight to meaningfully build up a character this way. Smodur's arc reeks of sudden direction change. The entire Drizzlewood portion of the story is drenched in shock deaths for the sake of shock value, as if the entirety of IBS itself didn't already have "Shock the player now, fix it later if the players complain."

Because it does already. Use the wrapper from Megai's Github. Slightly higher framerate during high activity areas, higher average framerate, much less stutter from turning.

You would have to have a GPU that is older than the GTX 400 series, down to the minimum which is an 8800 GT. I feel like even an impoverished working person can probably nab a 710 or 1030 to toss in a junker. We did just get our 600 dollar scam crumb of a stim check after all.

Oh, if it were up to me, your death would instead play The Price Is Right - Losing Horn, the Super Mario Brothers death theme, or that short bit in Family Guy when the fat guy falls over while Stewie has a trumpet/tuba, whatever the eff. This would just be the side benefit to having sound customization.

Also, by "your", I'm not referring to the entire playerbase. I mean literally only you, since you're the only person to fabricate some reason to complain about video game death music.

  4. That's all Scholar is, a raw damage boost. Fireworks with my traits gives me 100% vigor uptime. 5% damage doesn't mean anything if you're lying on the ground.

And its incredibly affordable by comparison. For the price its a great damage boost. It's almost like not everything is equal and everything has a place.

  5. I main Engi. Saying it's bad is an overstatement. You just have to figure out a build that flows good for you, and it will usually involve Tools line. With some tweaks you can squeeze out some decent damage from Firearms/Explosives, or survivability through Alchemy. For context, I've never been kicked from fractals for low damage, and the one guy that DID complain? He switched to his holosmith and immediately got deleted multiple times on Shattered. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tell your friends to use the D3D12 wrapper, and to turn Shadows off, and player model count to medium or lower.

Your average performance will still increase regardless of circumstance, with the single biggest fix being eliminating microstutters you'd get from turning left or right under D3D9 normally.

If you use the d3d12 wrapper, you can easily max out almost every setting if your rig is decent enough (read: not a 2011 potato). Any 4 core with 3+ ghz should do.

Player count and higher shadow settings are a very odd exception. These are usuable as long as you're not in a map meta, or smack in the middle of a holiday event.

  8. Yes. The boundary is completely pointless. You could take it out and nothing would change. It's not like maps aren't already filled in, unlike "Return to the battlefield." of modern shooters, where the map can literally dissipates into a textureless void. Classic Lions Arch in the personal story is a good example of this. The entire city is there, so there's no reason to curb exploration, like you're going to fall through the floor or something.
