This prevents people from abusing the trading post as a storage expansion. Even though people still post items at ludicrous prices with the intention of never selling them, simply because their normal storage is full, they at least don't get to store their stuff for free. > > > 2. This also effectively lowers prices on items. People are more likely to post their items at an affordable price, if they know that taking the item down and re-listing it at a lower price eats up any bonus gold they could have gotten by price gauging. > > > > Why would they do this when they can put in 5-500.000 bids on chac egg sacks for what ever anmunt they want to store and keep all the money when they delist the buy order? > > Because they *don't* keep all the money. The 5% fee you pay to list the item is not refunded if you cancel the listing. That’s two separate things. They are talking about buy orders (an offer to buy an item) and you’re talking about a listing to sell an item.
  2. I put it on my Charr thief and got rid of the glowy parts by dying the body with Shadow Abyss. It looks very good on him.
  3. The gold sinks are what keeps gold inflation from getting too bad. If you want to remove a gold sink you should suggest another to take its place that removes the same amount of gold from the economy. Unless you do that the devs aren’t going to consider your suggestion.
  4. I would like to request a change to loot given to sub level 80 characters when completing core Tyria world bosses. When I do a world boss on a low level character the main thing I want as gear rewards is level appropriate items that that char can use. I find it a disappointment after spending several minutes at a big event like this when my low level char gets gear that is useless to it and I have to salvage and send off or sale. I would much rather earn a set of new gear upgrades that I can equip. For me this would increase the enjoyment of doing these world bosses and feel lore appropriate to earn gear upgrades like that.
  5. I don’t see the use for it. If I’m not going to log in at that time then it’s not effecting me and I don’t need the notification. If I am, unless the whole system is down then a server problem may or may not effect me. Sometimes it’s a regional (EU/NA) problem and sometimes it’s a specific problem. Even the other day when the game was crashing it didn’t crash on all my chars. I switched chars and had no problem.
  6. There have been harvesting bots. I reported the ones I saw by friending them and reporting the accounts to ANet. It can take a while before Anet removes them as apparently they do bans in batches so the bot owners can’t figure out easily how they were caught.

I remember when the game was new I only earned a few silver a day from doing events and salvaging. I earned so little back then I was wondering if I could afford the cost of waypointing after I hit level 80. It took weeks before I had my first gold coin in my wallet. In 2016 they added two gold for completing 3 easy dailies. That’s a big handout and had an equally big impact on a lot of player’s income. With more gold flowing into player’s pockets the gem prices are naturally going to increase. Also, as players hit max level and finish gearing up the gold they have doesn’t have as much ingame need which means it’s freed up for buying cosmetics.
  8. Yeah, all my chars that I’m not actively playing are parked at a node, farm spot or chest for a daily collection. If someone is there they’ll see my chars appear, harvest, disappear and another appear at the spot and do the same.
  9. It started crashing when I swapped to my level 80 ranger and took my mail from ANet with the token.
  10. Gold to gems going to be high for some time. Their blog post said they’re having more sales tomorrow. It will be a while before they drop back down.
  11. I’ve worked my way through a number of WvW reward tracks by doing the dailies of Monuments and killing the veteran mob when they’re available. It’s slow but requires no fighting at all. Be sure to use what boosts you can get including the WvW reward track boost from your guild.
  12. If you want ANet to see a request of this type you might be better off posting it on the [[Gemstore requests]](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/348/gemstore-requests-new-items-items-offered-again-merged#latest) thread. They do look at that one occasionally for ideas on what to offer.
  13. Mine’s sitting in my bank waiting for the expansion and (hopefully) new elite specs.
  14. Allegedly they tried however the player becomes a single entity ‘mountplayer’ and they can’t easily get a second player to sit on this.
  15. You need a 3rd option, both. It depends on the character and if I’m tired of that armor or outfit it’s wearing and decide to switch it up.
  16. > But I dont understand why a simplest bot would hurt the game so much They addressed this before. I don’t have the quote anymore but essentially they said that when people use bots to farm they start disengaging from the game and eventually they quit. The way to keep people playing is for them to actually play the game.
  17. I’m going to guess that enthusiasm for repeatedly replaying the story isn’t high. What ANet should have done, imo if they were going to do that, is have the original be the story and the repeats be without the story and npc chatter, where you go into the instance and do the fights.

Apparently their support had a lot of problem with those, so they decided to switch in gw2 to a system that is scam-free. And the additional boon for them is that they can tax the transactions now, which works as a major gold sink and one of the core stabilizing elements for the market. > > > > > > Scams? Both sides have to submit an offer and you have the opportunity to double-check the offer of the other party before hitting "accept". Outside of people not bothering to check what they were receiving I don't know how you'd be able to scam someone through that trade system. A thing is too much platinum for a trade? Go with ectos. The item worth more than 7 stacks of ectos? Use armbraces. Most scams do depend on one side lying and the other side being in a hurry, not double checking or not knowing current prices. Here is a list of [[common Guild Wars trade scams]](https://guildwars.fandom.com/wiki/Common_scams/Trade_scams)
  19. Here is Anet’s response to the request for adding more languages https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/670636/#Comment_670636 > @"Gaile Gray.6029" said: > We have been asked in the past about supporting other languages. As others have pointed out in this thread, there is much more to localization than simply translating game content. Here are a few examples: > * The UI may need to be altered in size or presentation to accommodate different text, and may need to be adjusted from time to time as changes are brought to the game. > * Localized content would require constant monitoring to keep it at its top quality. (We have that now for FR, DE, and ES, where localization experts watch for in-game reports and forum threads and comments about needful changes) > * We would need to hire customer support representatives conversant in the language in question, to review and respond to tickets, and to assess in-game reports. > > At this point, we find that supporting the four languages currently on offer is best from a development and business standpoint, and we do not have plans to offer Guild Wars 2 in any additional languages.
  20. Harrowing Maroon can have a two color effect on some heavy armors. On Mistward armor for example the main parts of the armor are dark orange red while the spikes and borders are green.

Fractals seems to be the only end game content wich gets constant updates and is played more most ppl only do icebrood construct, fraenir and kodan strikes as boneskinner and whispers is not friendly towards the casual player. I rather see anet look where most players actually play and spend more on that more as its most logical > > Constant update to fractals what game have you been playing? > Took them 3 years to release the last additional to fractal a month ago. They’re not releasing new fractals at a fast pace but it’s not 3 years either. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fractals_of_the_Mists >With the release of Living World Season 4, Episode 3: Long Live the Lich (June 26, 2018) the new Deepstone fractal was introduced. >With the release of Living World Season 4, Episode 5: All or Nothing (January 8, 2019) the new Siren's Reef fractal was introduced. >On September 15, 2020, the new Sunqua Peak fractal was introduced.
