A challenging piece to be sure for Jerome Jacinto, and it’s gorgeous, except in how Rytlocks head looks. It’s very rat like. I think if the whiskers were less pronounced it would help. The tilt of the head seems to elongate the cat nose into a rat like snout. And I’m pretty sure Rytlock has yellow eyes.

I’ll take this to mean Glint and co. are more a living crystal that look like dragons/bristlebacks then. Reproduction is like ice crystals. That creep would be very corruption-like. Does this carry over to Tequatl then I wonder?. We know Zhaitan (and Joko) would fashion abominations from dead flesh before animating it.
-
Some current events have caused dragon minions to collide, and they will fight each other. I think this happened in The Mordrem invasion and ley energy collecting.

Whoa. Canon check. Glint was made and not corrupted? I always thought dragon lieutenants were corrupted from living dragons.

Thanks for the reply. She has absorbed Mordremoth power though; Taimi alluded to that in Caithe’s transformation. Her baby design had intentional Mordremoth influence to signify this and she’s been telepathic since the start. Guess we’ll see.

My theories are
>!1. She stays dead, and she joins her mother and brother together in the Mists for the true final fight. She doesn't not return to Tyria.
>!2. She's a seed in Caithe like Mordremoth was in Trehearne.
>!3. She's just dead, and we struggle through the hopelessness of it until some 'power inside us all along' moment happens.

Story 10/10 Everything else 6/10
The ending left me despondent and at a loss. I sat in silence for a minute. Job well done!
I hope not to see any more of the 'wind'/slippery mechanic. I still don't quite understand the first trial.
I'm not moved to stay on the map. The hearts don't require repeating, and nothing's compelling to explore it more than once, except once I maybe figure out how to start the dwarven tomb quests.
I'm left wondering if the fractal instabilities really needed two effects. ex. No Pain, No Gain, it was clear they needed to be boon stripped. Now there's an added reward for doing so?

Oof. That’s brutal.

I must be needing my Gw2 fix being away for the holidays to have had this dream.
Whether I was playing my charr thief or I was my charr thief is a blur, but I was in the Plains of Ashford, and I was preparing to defend against 2 Largos assassins with a contract out on me. A couple of death blossom dodges etc etc had them retreating and with some assistance from a helpful rancher, we took out one of them. I woke up before we could get the other. Anyway, don’t mess with the Legions eh.

When a chrono boonshared all boons in pvp before even leaving spawn, it was a good indication it was too much. When the fractal group lfgs for only chrono, to carry, it’s time for a change. Played fractal 100 and players didn’t know the mechanics because boonspam probably trivialized it.

The patch today leaves the Inscription trait in Air Magic as one of the final few traits untouched in recent times. In fact, this hasn't really had a look in since June 2015.
The trait is blah with a couple of prevalent boons for the ele, with the flavour of the Arcane specialization. To that end, in 2019, I'd say this trait should move to the Arcane specialization, to switch with Arcane Precision. Arcane Precision offers a condition on crits, which is what air magic is for, where Arcane is about switching attunements, like the Glyphs do.
Doubling up boons after swap and casting a glyph may have enough synergy in itself to make this the one change needed, but perhaps to bring it in line with the changes seen in 2018, selecting this trait should improve the actives with longer durations, or extra strikes on Glyph of Storm. We may see the classification of elemental command skills, like Herald Consumes, for added effects when they are commanded.
Failing that, orphan glyphs like Mesmer Glamours after giving glyphs a 20% base cooldown reduction, and create a whole new trait for Air Magic.

I found Orr runes were a nice fit for soulbeast until the change. Such a change that I’ve switched to Afflicted and lost the runes in the process.
I’m missing the light aura on radiance runes for my tempest (in radiant armor). The interaction with the trait Powerful auras was nice even if unintended. Still, I’d like that added to the 6th bonus please.
With this and guardian staff changes, light aura share seems to be removed from the game now.
The changes to Earth and tormenting were a boon to me with the added healing for both.

For fractals, Core Value is good for the No Pain, No Gain instability to strip the 3 boons/protection off enemies. Shield Condi cleanse has saved me numerous times in PVE. There are classes to have done this for me better, but good to fill those roles myself without switching class.

I was wondering if the blighting tower event was supposed to involve a group destroying the pods in the pit to stop the mobs spawning? Was this ever tried? The running around in circles does lend to a great ‘run or die” feel, but unlike the usual gw2 style.
-
Cool. Funny that was the Vigil keep. There’s a story instance where they sort of feel overrun. Dragon Stand and the blighting towers do well pumping out an endless horde of baddies. Imagine that with the Risen.
-
Yea, a rush of charr running on all fours would also be something to see.
-
I’ve always felt the game missed a trick with Zhaitan, and later, the awakened to give a good zombie horde rush core to the story. The gates of Arah event scales really well to give that moment now, and the Fahranur instance was awesome.
I’m posting to share those events with other survival gameplay lovers, invite others to share other events they’ve found, and maybe encourage a fractal or something for a real 100 vs 5 moment. Happy Halloween

After getting the first rune for the door, I approached the other rune slots, and it allowed me to keep placing runes.
I started with the rune on the far right facing the door, and worked left. I believe the other runes were not in my inventory at the time. The door opened. Explorers rushed in. Nothing noteworthy other than maybe an Easter egg.
Loading back in, the 2nd slot from the left is now empty, the door is closed, and I don't believe the runes are dropping any more. I fear it's recognized the rune was dropped, and inserted into the slot, stopped dropping, and now is stuck empty.

Best update ever.
Feel like you fit the best of GW2 into this release, and will be happy to keep playing it. Great new experiences in the story
Great level of challenge on the map. Great designs.
Except riftstalkers.
TL:DR
The most amazing update to the game yet, expansions included. I've been buzzing for 2 days since finishing it. It has everything. Old friends, an elder dragon, Joko, the jungle, new world boss (kind of).
I can't wait to replay the episode story soon, whereas thinking of doing episode 3's story again seems like a chore. The deadeye instance was an incredible first for the game, the nastiest spider in the game, (you know the one) and the space jumps in the mist were very trippy.
The map is quite dangerous to navigate too. The branded have a lot of range to hit mounts, and I've used like 3 revive orbs this episode like I've never done before. Mobs chip away at your health throughout the shatterer fight. Love all the options in that fight.
Always being mindful of the Claw of Kralkatorrik makes the map feel alive.
The one thing I don't like are the riftstalkers. Less interesting karka with no lore that stand in place taking little damage with a repeating pattern of aoe.
-
I found I could use halo and choir bell at the same time.
-
Of course the choice is yours, and you may feel left behind by others rushing to events on mounts, but there’s something in exploring the maps and the danger on foot and glider. Survive a raptor swarm, get gooped by Chak, and feel ripped by Mordrem snipers.
-
GW2 is where you can right the many wrongs in the world and look dang cool doing it too.
-
I peppered a couple topics about Kookoochoo using the juvenile look as well. IMO the cuteness factor, and a narrative that they are pretty helpless and simpleminded throughout bitterfrost frontier could not be portrayed with the adult, warrior quaggan looks.
Still, I await for the patch note that says they’ve gone through puberty.

Can the elite spec system currently allow existing weapons to have new skills? If yes, it would be cool to see ele staff with skill animations similar to mage gameplay in Dragonage 2, granted it looks a bit like Star Wars kid.
And shout out to Karl, your Meet the Tempest post still gets me pumped!

What it is is the chin fur is very long and coming to a point and we lose the shape of the snout. It’s not wrong but that hairs only been that prominent in the Ascalon Catacombs cinematic before.
