It behaved more like other mounts and was faster and more maneuverable than it is now. It got nerfed into oblivion due to a combination of vectors for abuse being fixed and ENDLESS complaining by gankers and others here about WC's effect on WvW. > > In its current form it's essentially an extra 8k health, 2 dodges, and swiftness in case your build doesn't have access to it for when you're running around. You use it because it's there, not because it's actually fun. * How could that be fixed then? * How can you reconcile the ganker's complaints with fun? * Is that even possible?

It's such a basic emote in a lot of MMOs. So is /clap, but we haven't had that yet, either.

The same person could be in charge of connecting with the playerbase with polls, and talk with prominent members about what would be good additions to the game. People like commanders of wvw, and somelike mr Teapot. Most of them REALLY don't want to do this. Way back when _Raymond and Co._ (not a hair salon) used to do the WvW livestream, they tried to get other devs to join in - not many did. I guess it's because a mode where players can attack the devs is always going to be brutal. They used to do a regular PvE stream, back when there were "spare staff" for that kind of thing. Now that the love is gone, I suppose it's all shoestring budget stuff and getting away from work for as long as is humanly possible.
  5. Your enthusiasm is encouraging, OP. So thanks for that.

A bit of a side-note but even Developer Cal said Siegeraiser should one-shot gates. I think he should be invulnerable, too. You had your fun capping all their shiz, now go and do something else!

RL Money or in-game currency? I suspect that the latter wouldn't motivate any commander to do something they weren't going to commit their time to anyway.

It doesn't work like when you are running without it. I think they're generally very good. What do you WANT it to feel like? I mean... I never rode a horse, so I don't know how accurate or otherwise it is.

Sorry for any misunderstanding, in the post of mine I did state _fixed_ siege, by which I mean Oil, Mortar, Cannon.

I doubt it will make a difference. It won't break the game, if that's what you're suggesting. It's just something to help deter the giant zerg turtle/bunker that thwarts us.
  12. I read ~~most~~ some of the OP. I believe the great idea here is to remove the target cap on fixed siege - or something like that. Using zerg-size to mitigate damage is cheese of the highest order. Wensleydale or Double Gloucester or somesuch. OR how about this : you can't upgrade to the next tier until you repair all your walls to full (not my idea, but a great one). This would remove the cheesy "don't bother wasting supply on repairs because it's about to upgrade" nonsense. Hello? Echo Echo echo echo e..c...h.....o.

  14. Over time it's become WAY too easy to capture things. The mode **LACKS CHALLENGE** for attackers now.
