  2. > @"Synn.8617" said: > as Heibi.4251 pointed out...it still appeared on BLTP, whereas other things that are maxed don't. Yes, it's an annoyance that not everything you have maxed out is automatically hidden from you in the Gem Store. I bought Season 2 ages ago via the website's store and still get trolled in-game with offers of the couple of episodes I hadn't unlocked back when (before I bought them). I even contacted support on behalf of this, but their is nothing _they_ can do as they don't write the code. Very sloppy on ArenaNet's side to not have an algorithm which automatically determines ownership level for all things, not just a select few.

If you have some knowledge of the world outside of your own country, you do know about Thanksgiving and its meaning. ;) In any case, like with almost all things American, they stole the idea and name from one of our European traditional holidays and made it their own (on a different date): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving That's exactly what we celebrate in October. :)

  5. I'm afraid it is too late for any type of player input. They are probably done with the upcoming releases of the IBS and focusing on the next expac (hence the seemingly meager content - I believe they have cut the IBS short for the sake of the expac).
  6. That would be yet another game mode, and while it sounds fun, I'd rather have them finally fixing the game modes we already have than wasting resources on creating yet another one.
  7. So, there _will_ be new linkings coming this Friday? Aww. :/
  8. > @"Nythrilyn.2146" said: > Something really random here, but its generally overlooked as well, have you emptied out your cache files? Yes, that's a good advice as well. 1. Use Windows' Disk Cleanup: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/disk-cleanup-in-windows-10-8a96ff42-5751-39ad-23d6-434b4d5b9a68 2. Clear the GW2 cache - open Windows File Explorer and type this into the adress bar: **%Temp%** (then delete all folders starting with **gw2cache-{** ) 3. In any case, also try deleting the Local.dat: **%AppData%\Guild Wars 2\Local.dat** (you will have to redo your graphics and sound settings, but not your keyboard binds)
  9. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > I dont think thats overheating problem. I ran furmark test 1080p and GPU's temperature raised up to 76°C w/o crashing or blackscreen. I don't know, these are my temperatures when I am running around in Divinity's Reach with high settings: ![](https://i.imgur.com/45y5iBO.jpg "") They do rise a bit when there is more action, but - except for the GPU - they never exceed 52°C, and my GPU certainly _never_ ever goes up to 70°C. What's your graphics card's exact brand and model? > My motherboard is Gigabyte - H110M-H Here's your manual: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H110M-H-rev-10/support#support-manual You can also find the latest drivers on that page, which I highly recommend to download and install.
  10. > @"Anfalas.7325" said: > This is still a bug. It is account-wide but it doesn't happen to all players, and yes, Anet is aware of said bug. For example, if I go into my home instance where the node is my guildmates get the Common Charr Salvage (a blue item that needs to be 'used'), but I won't. It won't appear in my inventory, but does appear on the right side of the screen where the loot table appers. I've filed two ingame bugs and one on the website, but no response as to when this issue will be fixed, if at all. As already mentioned in previous posts, this is not a bug. The salvage goes straight into your wallet now - no more item in your inventory.
  11. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > How can I know if thats about my BIOS setting or hyper-threading? By testing it. > I dont know about this. Didn't your motherboard come with a manual? You can also download the manual at your motherboard's manufacturer's website. What's the brand and model? > My temps, playing, are aroun 65-70°C at max setting Ouch! That is pretty high. Doesn't your graphics card have a tool where you can adjust the fan speeds according to temperature? Keeping your hardware (CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD and HDD) as cool as possible is important. The blackscreen could be the result of overheating after all.
  12. * Add the ability to deactivate the green target Outline independent of Post-Processing * Add the ability to deactivate the Bloom effect independent of Post-Processing * Add a Sharpening option * Add a Saturation option * Add a Mouse Cursor size and color option * (A DX12 update would be great, but I can live without it)
  13. Start playing through the story in chronological order: * Personal story * Living World Season 2 * Heart of Thorns * Living World Season 3 * Path of Fire * Living World Season 4 * Living World Season 5 Difficulty will increase promptly with Heart of Thorns, but Season 2 missions can be a good training to get there. Player skill is very important. In addition, get better equipment. At least exotics; to determine what gear would be best, check in with sites like: https://metabattle.com/ > @"WorldofBay.8160" said: > lvl 80 boosts contain full exotic gear, no need for better stuff. Pfft, have you seen the gear's stats? Not suited for highest damage output. (Also, use with care as you can't remove upgrades from it!)
  14. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > So, in the past, with recomended setting, I experienced crashes too and in the present with that setup I have crashes too. I dont think thats the issue. A blackscreen is never caused by the lack of RAM or VM, so yeah, that's certainly not the cause. Since you seem 100% certain that there is no overheating issue (what are your hardware temps, by the way?), it could be a hardware issue (e.g., the motherboard) or an issue with your hyper-threading or overclocking settings in BIOS.
  15. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > I will but it wont make any change because that was set up this way before and my crashed too Did you mean "it won't make a difference" and that your PC crashed before when you had the recommended setting active? In that case, you should definitely get more RAM. :)
  16. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > > @"Ashantara.8731" said: > > What's your current Virtual Memory setting? > I guess thats what you are asking for. Ill give you an screen. > https://ibb.co/6WcbhdC It is best in Windows 10 to let Windows automatically manage the paging file size and location. It will likely create paging files on several frequently used partitions, which is good, because it increases performance as Windows will always use the paging file that is _not_ on the currently used partition. I therefore strongly recommend you switch to the first option by checking the box "Administrar automáticamente [...]".
  17. My advice: play the story, do achievements. That should keep you busy for a while.
  18. > @"Cramero.1792" said: > Ty for your advice but I clean my PC very often, this is the first time I try that thing with the memory. I changed thermal paste too my CPU and GPU a few days ago when I cleaned it up. Ah, that is good to hear. :) What's your current Virtual Memory setting?
  19. > @"Seven Star Stalker.1740" said: > with it seemingly randomly allowing me enough time to check my mail and no more. You are talking about in-game mail, right? > When the game crashes, there isn't any prompt afterwards either. It simply shuts down, as if forcibly terminated without any lag or delay. Have you tried any other games to check whether this issue is limited to GW2?
  20. > @"Nergalix.4237" said: > Black Lion Trading company: > Why can't they write there, you can only use it if you unlock the griffon mount.?!?! Which part of the term "**skin**" was unclear, though? Isn't it a bit of an overreaction to delete the game because of this, when you could have just acquired the mount (like all other players have) and then used the skin?

To remove all graphics drivers, use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ You will have to run it twice to remove both types of drivers, AMD and nVidia. Then reinstall the latest driver, but pick the correct one (either AMD or nVidia): * https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/drivers/ * https://www.amd.com/en/support
  23. 1. When the GPU fans are spinning at highest speed all the time, your rig is definitely having a severe overheating issue. It might need a thorough cleanup (use a soft brush and compressed air, remove the graphics card etc and clean those as well). Furthermore, if the PC has been in use for a couple of years, you might need to re-apply thermal paste to the CPU (best have it done by someone who knows how) - great opportunity to give the CPU cooler a thorough cleanup. 2. P.S. on overheating --> Does your rig have enough fans and a proper flow of air (inbound as well as outbound)? 3. Yes, a system shutdown usually means the PSU (Power Supply Unit) is protecting the system from further damage. If it's a reset, it could be a faulty PSU. I would try to replace that before going for the more expensive components (it could be anything, really, like a faulty motherboard). > @"Cramero.1792" said: > Once again blackscreen with a loop sound in the background and after a few seconds I could hear the game like it used to happen. See what I wrote earlier. > took off the RAM and **cleaned it with a eraser**. You what?! :o How much filth had your PC gathered for you to have to refer to such a drastical method? Clean your PC at least twice a year and you shouldn't have to go there. ;) > Could it be possible that those shut downs came from a bottleneck effect comming from my RAM? Not really (though 8 GB isn't much these days) unless you applied too little virtual memory for 8 GB of RAM.
  24. That's weird. I could apply mine without a problem. Did you try delete the GW2 temp folders? Did you try a client repair?
