Enough of "Minimum price is" on trading post while trying to sell.

Enough, I just want to clear my bank, I try a bunch of items and boom the minimum selling price is 55 coppers. Can't anything be done? Add an algorithm, force buyers to put an offer at that minimum price! Each time I have to sort which items can be sold and which have to go to a merchant to sell them for garbage price. It happens for more and more materials in my storage, there is even several foods I can't sell on TP. Those buyers and screwing up the tp/exploiting it to prevent other selling the items...

Issue is not minimum price. It's that supplay is way much higher than demand. I mean like 100x higher. There are places where npc sells armors about 10 gold, while it's sold in TP like 30 silver. It's in everyting. Problem in general isn't the low prices. Problem is that supplay is alot higher than demand. In real life it would balance it by it self. But in game world where supplay doesn't cost anyting, there is no balance. It will cause prices go lower and lower, untill they hit minimum prices. Lowering minimum price doesn't solve situation, it just delay what will happen anyway. That is that certain items aren't worth anyting.

You're misunderstanding, OP is refering to a TP bug that people exploit to list items at below minimum price, thus forcing people to buy from them without being able to match their own prices, and having to list above the person with like 10k mats.

Basically, there's alot of items that you can't list matching lowest seller without an error.

Okey, it should not be hard for GW2 developers clear "database" all the buyers what are buying under the minimum price. As for bug fix...

Which is moronic since now they are selling their items at a loss on the TP. Again as mentioned, the minimum sell order on the TP is EQUIVALENT to the merchant vendor value. If you go lower than that value on the TP, you might as well sell to vendor and get more money out of the materials.

EDIT: As an example using this screenshots item as basis:

55 copper - 15% TP fee = 0.55 x 0.85 = 0.4675 = 0.46 = **46 copper**

The **NPC vendor value is 46 copper**. Selling for anything less than 55 copper on the TP would literally mean **selling items at LESS than guaranteed vendor value**. The TP minimum value literally prevents you from going full moron mode.

No one is placing orders below the minimum price. Those are all very old orders from the time when the Trading Post didn't require a minimum price. The Devs have twice (or more) run a script to remove all those very old orders, and what's left is what wasn't caught (with the scripts).

It's just not possible to place orders below minimum price any more.

Hence why it was changed so people cant sell below vendor price anymore.

Those in the OP is here since before the change.

But you can't sell anything if the price is below the minimum. The TP simply won't accept the trade. That's why the op can't sell his Ambrite to a buyer because there are no valid buy orders. Any order for Ambrite that's below 55c can never be filled and is effectively dead and probably forgotten by the person who placed it.

If he wants to sell he should sell to a vendor or add it as a sell order at 55c at the end of the 126,000+ long queue.

As for why there are any invalid buy orders at all well its either caused by the fact that ArenaNet added the check to make sure that the sell price wasn't below vendor price + fees a while after the game launched or because they added or changed the vendor price after something was added to the game.

NPC market is always bad so players are pushed toward PC market.

NPC market creates gold out of nothing, PC market only move gold and destroy a bit of gold too.
