Spirit Shards

Does anyone happen to know what the most effective way to get spirit shards quickly is? I know that each tone of knowledge gives you one if you use it on a level 80 character, and that you get 3 with the daily and they sometimes drop from loot boxes, but would PvP, wvw or possibly farming silverwastes or something result in getting them faster?

Spirit Shards can drop from anywhere. Champion loot boxes, mobs, you name it, it is random however, not too rare a drop, but random.

If you have maxed your masteries you’ll get a shard each time you ‘level up’.

If you specifically want to farm them, I suggest farming Tomes of Knowledge, so PvP and WvW. That’s your 100% drop for Shards.

The leather farm in Lake Doric is probably the most efficient way to get them. Just load up on XP boosters and rack up those kills but be mindful when DR kicks in.
