Leather/cloth gathering glyphs are common-sense defiling.

The type of glyph used determines whether you reach into a dimension with the same type of node or into one with a different node. Of course this is based on asura magitech so it works only about a third of the time.

I dunno if it'd be good to be wearing a snazzy suit made from some extra dimensional horror's uncle when he comes through a portal torn in our reality by gemstore harvesting tools, (I mean the Ascalonians wore charr skins and look where that got them) but leather _is_ pretty expensive... so it's understandable...

This is a game in which a giant fireball drops from the sky and burns only your enemies, in which trees are not set on fire by burning but some underwater objects are. It's a world in which Bay Leaf, Chili Pepper, Coriander, Dill, Clove, Garlic, Mint, Rosemary, Sage, Sesame, Thyme, and Vanilla all drop from the same plant.

Of course it makes sense that a magic glyph can spontaneously generate leather or cloth.

PS we already get leather and cloth from certain foes; it just turns out to be an inefficient faucet for them.
