Danikat.8537 Posted July 10, 2018 Share Posted July 10, 2018 I take it you mean forum stars? Short answer: It's a glorified post count. Post more and it will gradually go up. Long answer: It's a bit more complicated than that. It seems to be a combination of how long you've been a member of the forum and your 'score' (which for some reason is only visible on the mobile version) and your score is increased through a combination of posts and reactions (Helpful and Thumbs Up). But you get more reactions by posting more, so ultimately it all still comes down to posting more gets you more stars. It just means that posting helpful answers and/or popular or amusing statements which will get Thumbs Up and Helpful reactions is more worthwhile than just spamming every topic you can find with short answers. (As far as we know 4 stars is the maximum, but it might just be that the time requirement and/or score for getting 5 is so high that no one's gotten there yet.) This should be it's own thread as this is "thread-jacking" :tongue: But the game never goes "down" for maintenance. I think it was only ever "offline" once in 5 years. Anet live patches and you will get a new build notice in-game that you will have to restart the game in 2 hours or it will auto-force you to do it. This gives you time to finish up your task and restart the game and download the patch. Patches drop Tuesdays and continue until Thursday if additional patches are required. So a patch will always drop on Tuesday and if the team has an error or a "crap we forgot" they will apply it Wed or Thursday depending on the size etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
