gw2 Festive Confetti Infusion Drop Rate

Recommended Posts

A Festive Confetti Infusions are a type of infusion that can be obtained as a rare drop from successful completion of the Stop the choya pinata before it gets away! event or as a super rare drop from a Festival of the Four Winds box.

its been such a long time doing this Casino Blitz takes place around the Free City of Amnoon and yet iv not see anyone get the drop . One of my Friends still sticks around and has continued for months on end trying to earn it and yet still has not gotten the drop ( its just that rare of a drop ) iv seen other people try and they gave up . but my friend Sab has not given up till this day . i really wish Anet would up the drop rate of this Confetti Infusion to like the drop rate of an ascended weapon from the sunless :3 . i dream one day my friend Sab will get the Confetti Infusion <3

I've never seen anyone get a Chak Egg Sac or Aurillium infusion, and yet, clearly by the number made available through various sources, those do drop.

If ANet upped the drop rate, these would quickly become common, rather than special drops. These are unbound items, so the supply will keep growing and growing, even though it will do so very slowly.

I opened over 22 thousand Festival of the Four Winds boxes and didn't get one of these. Anecdotal evidence, but the drop rate is really very, very poor.

I wonder if all these super, super, super rare items have the same Chance to drop the normal way (= Tarir, Chak Gerent, Pinata etc.). Only one time I saw someone post a Invisible Boot Box after the Dragon Stand meta, and even so, it could have been a fake. After over 3,000 Treasure Mushrooms without Boot Box I agree with the opinion, that you should spend your time with farming gold instead of hoping for one lucky drop. It's not worth.

The drop-rates are too low though. They should at least create a supply by which these infusions are tradeable via TP instead of reddit. They shouldn't be as rare as to cost the double of what you can actually pay by ingame-means. A "slight" increase wouldn't hurt and it wouldn't unreasonably devalue them.

But to accomplish what you're suggesting mean they'd have to devalue it by at least half just to get posted on the TP?

It still would be rare af and 10k gold is a ridiculous amount. As it is, it's far too valuable by the games own metrics. No item should be more valuable than 10k gold.

You say that but........ (looks over at cost of legendary weapons). Kind of makes you think what the future holds as even more effective gold farms are discovered.....

I don't gamble. I opened the chest for daily and got it.. I think I used up all my luck for the entire gaming life

I would expect these are at around 1/10000 to 1/100000 drop rate and I'm only moderately unlucky. Much worse than that and we likely wouldn't see more than one ever; much greater and I'd have several.

I agree that it probably *should* be devalued, as should most ultra-lucky drops. For one, nobody should luck into something worth more than a legendary. For another, what's the point in making something interesting if basically nobody ever gets to see it.

That's not entirely true. Prices "are being made" by demand and supply. ArenaNet is (at least partially) responsible for high prices due to low supply. That's basic economics.

They shouldn't just get a "slight" increase in drop rate, they should get the "raid" treatment. Make it purchasable for 1000 casino coins + 20 gold and change the drop rates to what the ascended boxes form Tequatl & worm are, this way we would have another gold sink and players have a better incentive to actually engage in the content for more than just "the first playthrough".

I have to disagree. These infusion have some legendary qualities, so they should be a bit rarer than what you suggest. Somebody in another thread suggested a price of 10k map-currency and 1k gold, which would probably be a good compromise.

They have the same "properties" as the raid infusion and you'd still need 18 of them for the full effect, the only exceptions (in terms of being "special") are the Chak and the Queen Bee infusions because of their trails.
