Which weapon trait would you like to see redone?

Then don't be Mesmer, that is what a Mesmer does, they are reworking traits, not Weapon Skills. the current trait for Mesmer GS is - gain might when you hit with 1 and summon 2 phantasms with 4 that deal 25% less damage ( total 150% damage).

If you would like a weapon reworked, might I suggest your own topic?

Look I read it wrongly OK? I only said I got a problem with the animation not even about what the skill does.

BTW Is it possible to change my vote?

Hey Pyro, as someone who values your opinion, would you give some insight on why you voted for Staff?

Personally I understand that. Staff might be the place where the trait can be used to do something amazing.

Anyways, I believe that the scepter trait is in dire need for a rework as its design is kinda 'meh'. Sure it improves scepter but it's not really interesting gameplay effects.

The staff trait at least provides the option to play with chaos combos for high protection.

Well, the scepter trait has the single notable effect of increasing all action speed while using a scepter. This includes all weapon skills, utilities, heal, elite, and even (unless they fixed it) the stomping animation. While it's not the strongest of our traits, it has a significant effect while using it.

The staff trait does effectively nothing. In theory, you can combine it with a bunch of ethereal combo fields and leaps and pump out loads of protection...but in reality you get chaos storm now and then since no other ethereal fields are usually worth taking. It has zero impact on your actual playstyle, zero impact on how you view the weapon, and easily is forgotten, even while using it.

Thanks for the insight Pyro. While I can aggree with the effeciveness of the scepter trait I would rather have a trait that makes gameplay more interresting.

Tomorrow we will see what (if any) traits get reworked. Tbh I'd be happy as long as the keep our pistol trait the way it is as I think this trait is really cool!

That's certainly fair, the scepter trait is, as I mentioned, far from satisfactory. I am fairly bemused by the amount of people who want a rework on the focus trait though. The focus trait is one of the best ones we have, don't confuse the weapon itself with the trait. It's not the trait's fault that Anet decided to slice the balls off the phantasm...

I voted for it to be moved - nothing to do with iWarden. If Anet think the trait is fine (which the effect of the trait is fine), then they won't do anything about considering moving it unless a fuss is raised (but they still won't do anything).

But I strongly believe one of the worst decisions in specialisations was to have it competing with RI in the same tier. Edit - also since the phantasm rework there's no worry about shattering the iWarden during its long cast.

Focus because in PvP/WvW environnement :

* As @"Curunen.8729" said, too hard competition with Restorative illusions.

* There is more than enough reflect sources (always in PvP/WvW context.) to justify one more (except possibly from WvW bus.).

* It's basically a trait who affect only one spell (temporal curtain.), seeing how the phantasm reflect can be useless in a WvW/PvP context (due to cleave and spawn position not optimal.).

That said, I probably never use sword trait out of PvE.
