Earrings as head armor?

I think it would be awesome to have earrings (for both genders) as head armor. It would add a new layer of customization to our characters, and I don't think it would be too hard to make them, since all races/genders would share the earring model, only the placement would change.

You could play a lot with it, and not only earrings, any face jewelry could work, too, noserings, a small chain from the ear to the nose, a gem on the forehead, I think it would look cool and help us to have more personal characters. at least myself I never wear hats or helmets because I like my character's face to be shown, but things like this I'd love to :)

what do others think about it?

A lot of accessories (particularly the ones made by jewellers) are earrings, but of course they don't show on your character model.

There are also some head pieces which are more like jewellery than hats or helmets. The obvious one (to me) is the [jewels elementalists pick during character creation](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Glacial_Eye "jewels elementalists pick during character creation") - which can be used by necromancers and mesmers too. There's also other pieces like the [Council Ministry Circlet](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Council_Ministry_Circlet "Council Ministry Circlet") or the [Feathered Headpiece](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Feathered_armor "Feathered Headpiece") - which is sort of like a fascinator worn on one side.

There's less options for medium and heavy armour of course, but there are a few. And the gem store head pieces which are useable by all 3 armour weights, some of them look like jewllery like the [Dragon's Eye Circlet](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon%27s_Eye_Circlet "Dragon's Eye Circlet") and [Wind Aspect Eye](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wind_Aspect_Eye "Wind Aspect Eye").

I do think there could be more choices, especially for medium and heavy armour. I'm unlikely to use earrings because many of my characters have their hair covering their ears, but I wouldn't object to other people having the option.

They would get caught on everything, but so would a lot of existing items. If this game was that realistic my main character would spend 1/2 her life trying to untangle her hair, backpack and bow from each other.

90% of all existing items on armor would get caught on anything, that's a BS reaction.

Good suggestion. I almost always hide the headgear, because it covers too much the face. There are small headgears, true, but I wouldn't complain if earrings, collars, piercing and other small accessories counted as headgears. Just... don't let them glow please. I'm not sure I could bear the sight of a legendary needle on people's nose.
