Requiring Bounties in Specialization Collections is Stupid. I'll Say it.

I have to agree, bounties are stupid, that's why all my specs weapons collections are still unfinished.. But guess that's it. I don't like PoF maps and don't want to return there, only need players to do them but I don't like the idea of bounties... (still suffering with legendary bandit executionner... still haven't looted coin purse drive me crazy)

With the legendary bandit executioner, you have to have the bandit death mark item in your inventory for the coin purse to appear.

If the rewards for bounties were maybe 50% better, people would farm them. Right now they're hardly worth doing outside of achievements.

 

They could also use some sort of uniqueness based on map, or people would stick to the easiest map. HoT metas did things well with unique map rewards, even if the multiple currencies are a little overkill.

i'd say make them **twice better** than they are now. because no one does them regularly outside of Core dailies or collections (beetle, 32-slotbag, specialisations) or that one commander who might've got bored and suddenly started a bounty train to help people.... outside of those situations, good luck finding a decently sized group to do any bounty reliably. even the LWS4 daily bounties are sometimes ignored.

 

one other improvement they could do for bounties is to get a preview of what random magical instabilities (those annoying random mechanics) the bounty would spawn with on the tracker/ui so people can prepare or drop the bounty if you don't like the roll.. like, that way commanders can instruct the squad before the bounty is spawned so the run would go smoother/faster _and/or_ smaller parties/groups can discuss if it's worth doing or not and save time in the process. it wouldn't change a thing for people who like that sort of challenge but it would help people who get pissed off when the stuff spawns with an annoying mechanic

Festival isn't the issue if they still failed with 15 people.

 

Lack of DPS isn't too surprising though.

If they are going to bother fixing bounties the solution should not be tedious re-rolling.

 

No need to repeat the same mistake that was already made with fractals.

If you can't take out a bounty with 15 people the problem isn't the design.

We just killed him last night on our regular Tuesday night bounty runs, we don't always do Devastation but rotate through 2 or 3 maps once a week doing all bounties, and we almost always have full squads with people that know what to do...even the Muckstalker dies most times. You have do to the CC and the DPS, back to CC and DPS, keep going until dead...except sometimes they get terrible combinations of Ley Line magic abilities that make it slightly more difficult. We normally do these runs around 9:30 EST(on NA) give or take. You can look for Nems Bounty Train in the LFG on Tuesday nights, it will be in one of the PoF zones.

I can do ~30K single-target according to arc and I still need ascended armor pieces, so...

 

But it doesn't matter. I finally got a group that could consistently break the bar instead of afk spamming 1 a few days ago. So it's over with. I got the skin.

The Mentor tag/Commanders tag are a beacon for sure. Throw them up and before you know it you have a squad!

 

But I love what @Metasynaptic.1093 said about waiting for the daily Desolation bounty to pop. This is an amazing way to make sure that your group is intact with enough DPS to down him. Everyone wants their daily bounty!

When I was doing bounties for collections I just tagged up, put myself in lfg, announced what I was doing in map chat and guild chat, and waited. I made sure to let people know it was for a specific collection as well, people tend to not think about what's needed for collections if they aren't doing them in that moment. But if you remind them they can be like "oh hey, I guess I can go do that now so later when I'm doing the collection its already done"
