We played together for some time and now we wanted to move to Ember Bay map to get some achivs and farm some unbound magic. Is there any way for him to get there other than buying each episode of Living World for Gems (so in fact for $$$)? His account did not exist when LS3 was starting. So, as Linken said, you will have to spend cash or convert gold to gems in-game. IIRC, it is 200 gems per episode, or 960 for all six episodes of season 3. I'd argue that all 6 maps are worth having. If he wants to get there for free he can farm gold and convert it to gems, but there is no way to play any part of the episode without owning it.
