Haha - not the TP, but I have accidentally bought things like thread from vendors and bought a number of stacks equal to the number of units I wanted. I was able to eventually use them all though so no sweat.

I made 250 crystalline ingots when I only needed 1 for aurora .

I remember my newbie days when I would buy crafting ingredients from the TP that I could have acquired cheaper from the crafting NPC vendor. :s Ouch...
