Right after the announcement, a kitten-storm was thrown at anet, for neglecting actual wvw problems but instead putting work into something, noone asked for. -better wvw balance -better performance -better rewards for taking down t3's And so on... To be fair, there's loads of competitive games that have vehicles/mounts and are just as competitive as any other. Ofcourse, usually within a different game mode all together, with maps entirely designed for it and mounts or vehicles designed for it. I will never understand the notion that any mount or other mechanics would be "PvE" when there's literally dozens of example games that use pretty much the same mechanics in a competitive setting.
