How can I get this if nobody every plays dungeons?

Try to LGF and ask for p1,2,3 help, people are bit off for P4 but they might join. If you pvp/wvw you can get them trough Arah tracks, just need to have story mod done to unlock tracks.

I had a look at that no where does it say you gain dungeon currency, weapons and armour yes

No. Dungeon Frequenter is the achievement for doing any 8 dungeon paths including story mode. You get a choice of 150 dungeon tokens and 5g.

Once you finish the story mode for a dungeon it unlocks a repeatable track for that dungeon.

 

Even back when people ran dungeons frequently I'm pretty sure everyone used the pvp track for Arah because that dungeon took so long.

Each completion of a Dungeon Reward Track gives 4 Token Boxes (spread out) with 60 tokens each, so one complete track is 240 tokens.

Well if you play SAB right now, the weekly trader has a Tyrian Exchange Voucher for 16 bauble bubbles, limited to 1 per week. You can select 300 dungeon tokens of your choice. Resets on Monday, so you can still buy two before SAB ends.

I got the dungeon tokens for the armor set via WvW reward track. I dont particularly love WvW but it was less irritating than trying to find a dungeon group.

Other than repeating the Arah paths, you have a few alternative options to get the 500 Shards of Zhaitan needed for the gift:

 

* Doing any other dungeons. There are LFGs up for a few almost any time of the day. After every 8 (different) paths you finish you get a [Chest of Dungeoneering](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chest_of_Dungeoneering). From that you get 150 tokens from the dungeon of your choosing.

* [WvW/PvP reward track.](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Ruined_City_of_Arah_Dungeon_Track) It's repeatable and gives you a total of 240 shards. (And 3 weapons and an armour piece, so you can work on the collector achievement as well.)

* [Tyrian Exchange Voucher.](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tyrian_Exchange_Voucher) It's a drop from the Black Lion Chest, but alternatively, now you can get 1 per week for 16 Bauble Bubbles from the newly added Super Adventure Box Vendor in Rata Sum, or in the SAB itself during the festival. 300 Shards per Voucher.

* Do Arah when it's daily for [the chest it gives you.](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chest_of_Ruined_City_of_Arah_Goods) You might be able to get a group together easier on those days. 100 Shards per daily chest and the dungeon reward itself.

 

My solution was a combination of dungeoneering and the reward track. It's doable without setting foot in Arah even once after the story mode, which is soloable now...

And if you do want to do the dungeon path I recommend asking your guild/s. Not many people do dungeons regularly any more because they're no longer the best way to make gold, but people are often willing to help out if someone asks.

4x 60 tokens = 240 tokens per reward track completion. Now the only issue remaining is do you have the reward track unlocked? If not, keep trying the LFG and /m. Many players I'm sure would be happy to spend 10mins helping you complete the story mode, and you probably only need a total of 2-3 people for it because of power creep (not sure if Arah has mechanics that require 5 people - its been a while)

 

EDIT: and a friend of mine, who just recently quit GW2, but had played since launch, has done all content including high ranked sPvP, maintained that dungeons were his favorite part of GW2, and enjoyed them way more than fractals. I'm sure there are many out there that do still enjoy running them, in spite of the low rewards.

thanks guys- tool tip description is rubbish and doesn't mention any tokens at all in the pvp rewards when hovering mouse over the boxes.

The problem is that the reward track overview only show the reward for each 2500 (iirc) point "section" of the reward track, which is really only every 5th reward. Check any track you're interested in on the wiki instead!
