The toys were thought to spawn in the random present spawns on maps. But they are only skritt.

 

You will have to do the dolyak defense which is the fastest way to complete it. I managed to get the 500 before doing 3 complete runs.

Infinirarium or Toypocalypse. But Toypocalypse is better IMO. And kills made by the towers made by you will also contributes to your kill too, even if doesn't show it on your score board.

Toypocalypse stacks the kills fast when you don't do the killing by yourself, but keep building/upgrading catas.

Actively doing this one is a literal waste of time unless you plan on skipping the Toypocalypse achievement(I wouldn't blame you considering how boring it is but then this one isn't much be better) since this will pretty much complete automatically halfway through the second Toypocalyse.

 

I would recommend doing that with a friend and avoid the public one since that seems skewed towards people building in stupid places.

I got this in three games of toypocolypse just by creating catapults near every enemy spawn point.
