  1. A lot of the different maps, especially in Season 3, are inconsistent based on what the map vendor sells you. Bloodstone Fen was nerfed to terrible levels because of the stat swapping trinkets making them basically legendary effective. They fixed Season 4 by making all vendor purchases absolutely worthless to make it future proof. Those laurel purchases we're punishing, especially in Thunderhead Peaks, since PoF's trinket vendor.
  2. We're never getting a new race unless it is just another humanoid, like the dwarves. They won't dump assets into outfitting all the armor in the game to fit Tengu.
  3. When they were talking about the PoF leaks on Reddit, they were developing housing for that expansion. It just didn't make it in time. It is still possible.

It's expected people play the core game before proceeding to HOT in the same way people go to 6th grade before they go to 12th. A lot of people, not just a few, asked for most challenging open world content. Anet obliged them. Let's not pretend HoT isn't one of the most highly populated open world areas of the game to this day. Some people love it. > > People who say it's unfriendly are people who want to master end game content quickly. And HOT really isn't that hard. It just requires a bit of learning to master. I'm not talking about the content itself, but the Core Masteries not being unlocked after getting to 80. Being punished when wanting to explore the HoT maps without realizing you need to do the first story part to get the full game Masteries unlocked is not explained. This has nothing to do with difficulty, but poorly implemented unlocking method to just get started.

I mean right now I am making a Gen 2 lege, and using all my mithril, ectos, and orichalcum, I can’t make the dragon slayer weapons as they use the same materials. And I have bloodstone dust, dragonite ore and empyreal fragments sitting around doing nothing... Either refine them, feed them to resource eaters, or toss them. Otherwise it is wasted space if it bleeds into your bank space.

They were probably referring to some of the harder to get skins that came out of the zone meta like the ascended backpiece from Draconis Mons or the 32 slot bag from Sandswept. They literally mentioned the legendary weapons released with each new episode. What they are doing with Icebrood Saga is more expensive than legendaries, takes longer to farm, and has no benefit in the end.
  7. With how much they charge for the system, Anet only gets scorn. Especially for how they screwed over the players who used a superior, player made mod that was free and infinitely more useful!
  8. Whisper of Jormag is one of those pieces of content that is only useful for Mastery Points. The poor loot isn't worth farming for how challenging it is. It needs to be removed from the daily rotation and loot revamped for it to be considered regularly played.
  9. If you want the most benefit, DON'T start with Season 2. Season 3 has maps and more to each episode. Look for recap videos of Season 1 and 2 to catch up. Season 2 is only worth it for the mastery points and odd fights for AP. The real, replayable content starts at Season 3 after you finished HoT.
  10. The limited access to varied skills does suck for the new player experience. GW2 looks like every boring MMO that you just repeatedly push a button over again for the first ten hours. It changes when you actually fill in all your skills. Except when you put points into all the tracks at once, then you're just not going to have fun. Maybe players should have access to easy skill resets and maybe more points to start with.
  11. City action. A bar brawl. A lost kid. Gang activity. Blending in or confiscating materials. Something that can be farmed and fun to explore that discourages mounts with how tight the city is.
  12. My signature says it all. These collections are atrociously expensive. If they wanted resource sinks to continue, they should have just went into Gen 3 Legendary weapons. They aren't even ascended weapons, but are more expensive to make.
  13. Let them explore their first map and let them know how leveling progression/traits work (tell them to fill up 1 full Skill and 1 full Specialization line first). Then help them get the raptor for a quicker pace at core game. If you want to helicopter your friends, just make notes for the parts of the game that they may need tips or help in story.
  14. Other than streamlining crafting and giving players access to Mastery leveling immediately, they need to dedicate time to side content in the form of "collection" quests. Stuff aside from the main story.
  15. The game is very unfriendly when you try to get into HoT without knowing how masteries work. Especially when you try to play without doing the story. For new players, it is especially bad with what they give you with the lvl 80 booster.
  16. It is especially long if you are using the default template they give you for using a lvl 80 booster, with the awful default equipment stats that don't work for the builds.
  17. Vitality increases your Health. Power is for direct attack and Condition is for damage over time condition stacks. We don't get intelligence in this game since there are no skill checks or any kind of skill effect it would apply to. There is some damage calculation math, but like most games they unnecessarily complicate stats without telling us what it directly gives at a glance.
  18. There is a cave with a sitting bear in front of a campfire South of Snowhawk Landing Waypoint, Snowden Drifts.
  19. Dragon Response missions make this especially blatant. Those meteors that drop and you have to destroy, I have to swap to a non condi build on Firebrand. Usually I kill the mobs quick, but that stops when destroying immune objects.
  20. The level up tooltips are not only overload and don't give you specific information about what each stat is supposed to do and exactly how much it improves you, they happen during combat most of the time and you don't want one-time tooltips showing up in the middle of combat!
  21. Other than some new form of traversing, all I can see them doing is making a utility feature that is tiered based on which tracks are leveled up first. As long as it has NOTHING to do with "increasing loot" and "boons used for one piece of content only". Don't EVER do Icebrood Saga type of masteries and farming ever again! The United Legions Waystation track is the Saga's ONLY saving grace.
  22. Legendaries crafted that use shards bought from Living World vendors lets you make multiple. You can make another precursor (Claw of Resolution) directly since it unlocks the recipe. However, buying the other legendary dagger's precursor (Spark) from the TP and upgrading that is cheaper to upgrade to legendary, since you don't need another stack of mystic coins. As long as you have extra Gifts of Exploration from 100% Tyria map completion.
  23. Seeing these threads only makes the argument for them to separate armor from cosmetic and make you transmutate the slots directly. It would make people map complete, play WvW more, or buy more charges!

It changes based on demand. > While there are indeed some shortterm dips and spikes in the MC price, the overall longterm trend is visibly upward. It's **not** level. And before you say "inflation", i'll add that this trend is also upward if you compare it to the market as a whole. There's very, very few commodities on the market with such a longterm steady one-direction trend. > > Assuming I would claim something as stupid as "inflation" as a counter argument when my first argument is good enough. Long term is visibly upward because you're only concerned when it goes up. I've seen it go from 3g back down 90s during PoF because not introducing legendaries. That changed when they continued releasing one every Lv4 episode. "Demand" is my argument. Since Anet won't change how to get mystic coins beyond the weekly vendors and login persistence of players, demand is the only leftover factor that will make the prices go up.
