I haven't gotten that mastery point myself yet because I didn't bother grabbing it when I went back there for the griffon and the first time through my mysteries for those other mounts weren't up to snuff.
Yes this is true. I went to do it with a friend, and between us we had all upgrades for the standard mounts. The pillar with the mastery point on it is just slightly higher than the one you jump from, and far enough away that you reach the apex of your jump too soon and drop before getting there.
Luckily my friend is a mesmer and a pal, and not only got me up there but offered to get others to it as well. After he had to do some convoluted map breaking to get there.

Soulbound really only makes sense if the characters are assumed to not be owned by the same person or something. It's not like transferring items to your own characters is somehow cheating or unfair.

If the aggro range is going to be increased to account for mounts, we should be allowed to re-mount while in combat. Being chased halfway across the map because I got booted off my mount and I'm slow in-combat running away is not fun. Running away from an encounter because I'm clearly going to die and the smart thing is obviously to run away but just before I get out of range of one enemy I run into another (if being super far away from something that magically sees you counts as 'running into) is not fun. I don't care what "older mmorpgs" have, this isn't enjoyable.

My main problem with the griffon mount is that it basically costs 250g to get at least one of the mastery points. The one in the Tomb of the Primeval Kings _requires_ either getting the griffon or map breaking. There's something wrong with that.

So you don't mind spotting me 20g if it's so easy? You must have like a million by now, so what's the problem right?

I've been chased for ages after trying to fight enemies, realizing it's a losing fight, trying to escape, and get pursued a ridiculous distance and unable to get back on my mount. And then of course there's no clear path of enemies so I keep aggroing more and eventually die because I can't ever get out of combat.
If enemies have ridiculous aggro range because of mounts, we should be able to get back on mounts while in combat. Otherwise it's just more difficult for no reason.

Uh actually thanks, I've been here since early access. One of my characters is one of the oldest in the game. I was there when 2g for Abyss was ridiculously expensive for the average player. Don't be so pretentious.
Other people have said it themselves, some don't get that much. I mean, people are saying the 'easy' way to get it is to do dailies, and someone said you'd have to do them for 13 days to get all the mounts up to and including Jackal. It's so funny and stupid how judgemental people get when someone says "I don't have that much money and don't play enough to have it" like UGH how could you not???????? Casual noob??????? Uninstall maybe????????
There's really no reason for it to be 20g. The 200 trade contracts, sure I guess. It gets you to play the new content and not speed through it. But 20g is unnecessarily high and a huge jump from the previous one.
If it's not that much, then just send me the 20g. You know my account name.

Why the hell is the Jackal 20g? Did I miss the part of the story that gives me enough to pay for it? I had to borrow it from a friend, and even then I don't have enough trade contracts despite not spending them on anything but mounts. Why is this so expensive?
And don't come to me about how it was so cheap for you because you have 3000g burning a hole in your pocket. Not everyone just has that much gold lying around.

I'd like to see greatswords be given to Revenants, mostly because that's the profession I play and greatswords always get good skins while everyone else gets screwed.

The only problem I really had with Renegade was that Sevenshot has ground targeting and is only effective if what you're trying to hit is exactly where all the arrows meet. Otherwise most of the shots miss and it's a total waste. Why can't it be based on your target and have them all hit?

There is at least some checkpoints to a certain degree, since I was playing through the whole story with a friend and he dc'd a lot, so I'd back out and we'd go back in, and sometimes be part way through when we went back in. I'm not sure if they all have these checkpoints, though.
