    > I am at a lost to find a place in the game. As a primary pve player that is used to dungeons and raiding as my content i am not seeing a big interest in that in the community. So where do i fit, i do fracts everyday but cant seem to get a group for dungeons. I do some wvw or at least tried it some, but its not something i want to do everyday for end game. I have been told that the game is about the fashion wars, and thats not me. Trying to fit in but i long for a core group to do dungeons and eventually raids with. Is there a big interest in doing that stuff or is everything open world and wvw?

If you love dungeons, there is a guild called FvD for "Friends vs Dungeons".

They focus on that along with fashion wars because they have a fashion show regularly.

Since they collect the dungeon tokens, many happen to have the dungeon exclusive skins to mix and match along with legendaries since they require tokens as well.

  2. Designing characters is fun. I have at least one of each profession like many here and at least one of each race. I mostly have Human and Asura characters though. My human characters are designed from actual people's faces (some are even named after the person they represent). My Asura characters are designed for fun. As you know, most of the Asura faces are well, Zojja grumpy (or 'resting angry'). Some Asura faces are 'resting cute' but I just wanted a happy-looking, cheerful male Asura. It took me a while to create a 'resting cheerful' looking Asura, but it was worth it and I loved it so much that I've duplicated his face for three characters.

100% Yes. I don't come home from work to work again. This game has been a great wind down from everyday responsibilities.

I'm thankful for everyone's hard work @ Anet as well as the engagement of the community.

I'll just purchase digital items in our shared, imaginary world and hop around the vast expanse of Tyria & Elona.

Thank you. Forget those games. GW2 is home. None of them have beetle racing. They're terrible games.

  5. Almost all guilds that advertise in chat to join their guild say "RAID" in their ad at some point. I'm not in those guilds because of the drama for raid spots and all that. They should change it to RACE. I can just buy pretty things from Anet to fund the game (ty anet) and drift around maps for fun. I don't even have to place in the top three to get rewards, I only have to complete the race in the generous amount of time given (ty anet). Anything that becomes 'work' after the end of my workday is a 'no' since I need to go into a chill and rest mode. I love my career, but it gets tiring; I'm only human. I want to do something fun. Remember, this game didn't always have raiding. It should have stayed that way to be unique. I agree with OP but for different reasons. Raiding introduced a culture that was not in line with the original, pre-expansion game. I don't agree with it but it's here. Perhaps if they made raids more forgiving in requirements more people would actually want to do it. There are people that don't agree with beetle racing but it's here.

All you have to do are the things that you want to do. It's a game.
