but i don't call that an issue, i call that good design!

like in WoW you'd see plenty of night elf rogues because night elves had racial skills and traits that work perfectly for stealthy classes,

while if you were wanting to play a warrior you could check out a race like tauren, who's higher health and pbaoe stun ability made perfect for a frontline bruiser.

it'd be great if choice of race actually made a difference in gw2, i wanna see norn and charr warriors being better warrior and guardians than asuras,

but asuras being better casters than norn and charr.

i found it exciting in the early days of gw2 when people were actually thinking about what race to play because racial skills were actually being used!

(and they worked in spvp, i had fun theorycrafting stuff, played a sylvari warrior using the racial root combined with 100b!)

  2. hammer was one of those unloved and unused weapons on most professions anyway,

if anything warrior/guardian hammer skills needed some slight buffs,

instead they got colossal earth shattering nerfs.

at this point Anet might aswell delete hammer from both classes...

  3. yeah i haven't seen a staff in Spvp for so long.

ele staff was nerfed every patch until it was non-existent.

the same thing happened with thief staff, with energy costs going up and up every patch until it became so impractical.

and for the other classes there are simply better options.

i can imagine they still have their place in WvW and PvE, but for Spvp they're pretty much non-existent

  4. before, no contest.

build diversity was murdered, as i expected the game became tank/condi meta.

my favourite character was a hammer mace/shield warrior with a full utility bar of physical skills,

i only played it in unranked because it wouldn't have been practical in competitive play, but it was a fun little niche,

but Anet decided that such a niche unused weapon as hammer on warrior needed to be "smite-booned"...

    i've deleted that character now.

lets be honest, when was the last time you saw a warrior/guard using a hammer in pvp? even before the patch.

Anet absolutely destroyed a weapon that noone was even using.

a weapon that perhaps needed buffs was instead nerfed out of existence.

  5. it'd look pretty but probably make the game run like hot garbage!

GW2 is already the slowest, most poorly optimised game that i know of,

throw raytracing in to the mix and watch everyone's PC break down in tears XD

i run GW2 from SSD on an i9900k - GTX2080ti, (both liquid cooled) 32gigs of ram

and even this rig drops well below 60fps in busy scenarios, its crazy how poorly this game runs!

i've heard that there is an unofficial DX11 plug in, but i've also heard that it can be buggy and cause crashes,

so until an official engine upgrade i can't see something like raytracing coming along unfortunately!

so they have to chop them off at different points? that is incredibly easy.

i don't have much experience with 3DS max, but even i could do that in under a minute.

this covers chopping up outfits too, they could easily be chopped into sections.

the next excuse that we always hear is the good ole "clipping" one.

which is redundant because we already have a ton of clipping armours,

it is up to the users to pick and choose armours that work well together.

there is no reason or excuse why armour cosmetics still have "weights"

the old excuse was that they wanted you to tell weight class at a glance, but then they added outfits like wedding dress for tanks and ironclad for wizards.

    > @"Illconceived Was Na.9781" said:

    > There is no such thing. Outfits are designed as onesies; they do not exist in pieces that can be mixed and matched.

actually before the wardrobe update that is EXACTLY how they worked, every outfit before that update like Cook's Outfit are infact in parts.

made up of Cooks Hat, Gloves, Boots, Coat and Leggings, and you could mix and match them with other pieces.

like sticking the Pumpkin from Mad King's outfit on your head.

and there is no reason for outfits not to be chopped up again and sold as armour skins, i'd buy a ton of them.

its silly but its what they said when they were asked, everyone was astonished that they were pretty much saying "go to town"

as long as you aren't using anything outside of GW2 to do it.

  8. they've commented on it multiple times and have always said that aslong as you aren't doing anything artificial, you're A-OK.

so if your have the perk that auto loots and you leave your ranger in a location where you will get attacked and your pet will kill the mobs,

you did nothing artificial, there was no 3rd party program pressing the loot key repeatedly, it was just built in mechanics.

  9. a few months ago yep, i'd have thrown money at the screen for a huge axe hammer skin,

i played warrior with hammer, guardian with hammer, rev with hammer, and an axe skin would have been AWESOME!

but now that Anet have _smitebooned_ hammers, nope.

no point buying skins for a weapon that is in an unuseable state on most classes.

  10. i'm sure you could have loaded the answers a little bit more.

but yeah, if i'm sitting on 11k hp with no escapes, stun breakers or condi clears, all so i can burst like a freaking nuclear bomb, i think that is a fair trade.

and i'm sure the necros sitting on an effective 70k healthpool who can click their shroud skill twice to kill me will think its fair too.

  11. can pretty much guarantee thief will get greatsword,

i'm always right with these things, i guessed druid using staff and viney magic before HoT,

i guessed thief using staff with a kind of "monk" spec before daredevil happened,

so now i'm back with another prophecy again, thief is gonna get a sort-of Samurai themed spec,

not only does it fit the class, but it also perfectly fits the eastern feel of Cantha.

    THIEF WILL GET GREATSWORD.

  12. i used to play hammer war in pvp (unranked) it was niche but fun.

it suffers from the same symptoms as scrapper, the nerf to cc skills damage has caused a large number of their skills to do no damage,

Hammer may aswell be removed from the game at this point.

    > Why do female Humans, Norn, and Sylvari run around in the game with more skin showing than would be legal in many real countries?

because the majority of gamers are guys, and we like to look at ladies showing skin.

(and also because some countries are stuck in the bronze age.)

    > Doesn't this mean you're getting 2 outfits for the price of one? Bargain! Surely that'll increase sales?

Double the work for Anet yep,

but only a very small percentage of people

(sorry if assuming your species offends you!)

Would even want to crossdress their characters,

Most people want their men to look manly

and their female chars to look feminine.

So it's double the work to satisfy a niche minority.
