but they have already designed the outfits for both genders for all races...
literally all that is left to do is separate them into parts.
and as i said, weird cut off points isn't an issue because we already have armours with weird cut of points that work well when used correctly.
take the outfit, split it into parts, done.

**the usual lazy excuses why outfits can't be converted to Armour:**
**"They weren't designed to be used with other armour so there would be clipping!":**
there are plenty of awesome pieces of armour already in the game that clip if used poorly, but looks amazing when used well.
**"They were designed as a one piece set so they would have awkward cut off points between chest and legs!":**
there are plenty of armours already in the game with weird cut of points designed to be used as a set, all can be used extremely well.
**"but we want to keep the theme of the different weight classes!":**
Ironclad Outfit already lets my ele look like a warrior, Witch Outfit already lets my warrior look like an ele.
**"They can't be broken apart!"**
not true, before the wardrobe update all outfits were split into parts.
for example Mad King's Outfit was made up of Mad King's Boots, Mad King's Coat, Mad King's Gloves etc,
all separate parts had their own icons just like armour does.
**CONCLUSION**
Allowing outfits to be purchased as both Outfits and Armour would be a colossal treasure trove of cash for Anet, they'd make soooo much money.
and it would be a huge boon to the extremely lacking armour choices for players.
win win.

still holding out for tradeable everlasting combat tonics (like in gw1 later birthdays!)
-
my most missed thing (besides obviously secondary professions) is elevation increasing bow damage and range,
it was such a good addition! i really do miss sniping luxons from the walls of fort aspenwood!
-
if you have spare laurels you can buy lots of material bags and sell them :)
-
i'm just glad they made it so it only checks to see if the programs are running,
i have cheatengine, its awesome for single player games
there is absolutely nothing wrong with using cheats to make single player games more fun, i'm glad they are banning cheaters in multiplayer games though :-3

woah, more people voted for mesmer than scourge :open_mouth:
personally i like to be able to step on the point! so i vote scourge!
-
or they could just make more armour, but we know that won't ever happen!
we'll get gloves and boots but chest and legs? hell naw!
its like Anet forgot that we actually have more than arms and legs...
ANET if you're wondering why your recent armour "sets" don't sell very well, its because you forgot to make the rest of the thing...
still waiting on the bikini armours btw!
-
i want it to be chest and leg armour skins too! so we can get our Red Sonja spirit going!
-
i approve, freaking HATE that map.
-
for raptor i'd like "combat mount"
using your mounts combat initiation skill nolonger dismounts you, instead it has a 2 second cooldown.
-
making the spirits unkillable would be a start, can't believe we've had several balance patches since PoF and this still hasn't happened.
i'd like a flat damage increase across the board to pretty much EVERYTHING renegade has.
> @"Master Ketsu.4569" said:
> Renegade has just damage. No sustain, pitiful defenses, no versatility.
and the hilarious thing is that they seem to want it to be more of a condi spec (looking at the traits and weapon)
but the condi damage sucks, to actually deal "ok" damage you need to go full power and be using hammer/sword with the 2 aoe spirits.
renegade is a mess.
-
dont worry eles, you've got your regular shatterstone buff.
honestly it should be a meme at this point, "core eles are falling behind, meh, buff shatterstone!"
also renegade needs waaaay more help than just one little buff to one spirit.
-
are there some leaked patch notes or something?
people keep talking about mesmers and things like they know whats in the patch but it isn't out until late tomorrow? O_o
-
lack of new armours, even with the recent expansion release they're all so similar to eachother and utterly unattractive.
zero variety.
and when they do add "armour" its just gloves and boots, thanks Anet but i kinda have a torso and legs too...
-
so longer unranked queues?
erm...thanks? :-1:

nah its a terrible map, overly complex, like the didn't learn their lesson from skyhammer having a thread with over as thousand negative comments before it was removed.
we don't want huge game altering gimmicks,
FINALLY they've made a nice and simple map with no annoying gimmicks, coliseum!
honestly spiritwatch would only be acceptable if they remove the orb entirely and have it as a conquest ma instead of some lame attempt at CTF.
-
its horrible enough when s....twatch pops up in unranked, it'd be nothing but rage fuel in ranked.
-
the thief has 11k hp,
the thief is squishy as a snails poo,
the thief needs to hide in stealth for 21 seconds.
EVERY class will blow that thief up before he can even react,
and it won't take them 21 seconds of setup to do it.
you should be glad that he's playing a gimmicky oneshot build that is dead 90% of the time while his stealth skills are on cooldown.
-
really, you made a thread about a tiny square of skin?!
Raiment of the Lich says hi...

Snaff!!! Legendary Golemancer!
summons golems that work like minions, and the elite would be to use your own golem suit.
-
thats what you get for buying Outfits and feeding Anets obsession with churning them out instead of armour sets!
imagine if it was armour? you could simply use different shoulders.
-
every time they release a new skin all i think is, nope, that isn't a dragon.
WTB dragon skin for gryph!

ditto, i liked to use the old version on my ranged hammer nuker that i play in unranked, it sucks now...
spamming fast and hard hammer hits was so much better than slooooow hammer hits with a weak second attack.
the Devastation traits have headed even more into getting pigeonholed into sword....
Can we have an honest conversation about "Outfits?"

And it's not that there are "weird cut off points", it's that for a lot of the outfits (ex: again Balthazar's Regalia) there are no cut off points.
as i pointed out, there is no thematic weights anymore, outfits have already seen to that
i also pointed out that there are plenty of armours already in the game with random looking cut off points because they are designed to be used as a set. (no cut off points)

like i said they have already fitted the outfits on the rigs for every race and both genders, they already fit whatever race and gender you can make.
and they aren't "taking nine months making heavy medium and light armours for 2 genders and 5 races"
because again, they've already made them! you want Balthazaars chest armour on your female char ele? its already been designed and fitted,
it just needs separating.
