PLEASE Anet! man u mix up so much stuff in disorder... - the FPS and lags and disconnects are yet big enough for many people. having a built in-arcDps would make the game likely go fully pepega during battles. - u cannot restrict guild only (u technically can with unboxing no global activation, but i am not telling you that u can do that) activation or high ranks really. can be a new account of a older player and who decides about the rank really? also there is enough trolls that are not on a new char, ergo having the needed rank likely. - shield dome over towers is technically an okayish idea - but flying veterans isn't that nice, the npc-guards would need to get cut to 1/3 of their current numbers if u make them stronger, i think they'd distrub players otherwise too much. also classes like ranger, thief, mesmer, engi with stealth/invisiblilty can abuse stronger mobs with non-better ai too much. - flying mounts are absolute crazy, impossible for Wvw. people would find too many ways to cheese jumping into objectives with that, even if it'd be just a useless glide-kind of flying mount. it's yet not great that we have mounts, but last thing i'd want to see is more of them.. guilds or fighting performance isn't encouraged, leaderbords exist at gw2mists .de for example yet... also, while u are technically correct that u CAN dodge banners often: it gets really hard when there's more then 2 banner roads within a limited space area. also, just because you can, doesn't mean the other 20 ppl next to you can. no idea why, but many people completely miss the roadfields for several seconds and by then it is too late.
  2. about the infusion thingy... yeah i think u don't need the pve infusions. getting the +9 sounds minmaxing on the one hand, but the Wvw ones have all special effects and are greatly cheaper. i don't own any over +5 infusion anyways, so upgrading them would cost crazy amounts of time. i literally exclusively log in to play Wvw, cannot motivate myself usually to PvE. i have not even done the Icethingy Episode before this one that released on 17.11. thaha. but well, we got another lockdown here in austria anyways, therefore might do it now at some point. i'm aware that the JP often have players that help jumping invalids like me to make that, this still requires camping there for some time till u get lucky to really find one. had my rev parked for over a week in the hidden garden JP lol. realistically, it's easier to just buy any of the legendary swords for the 2k-3k gold. i can make that by just selling mats like coins, clovers... if our server wouldn't been ruined by the emigrations and unlinking (2 times this years...) it'd be really chill to farm reward tracks for rare mats that other ppl apparently need. the stuff us Wvw player gets drowned in is either not rare or not sellable.
  3. i'm convinced that this is rather a problem with too high stacking dps onto the classes itself. warrior, mesmers, rangers, thieves can do far too high damage in a small amount of time, which is way more problematic since they are all pretty mobile classes the rune in the end only gives u more critdamage and chance. shadowstep attacks, invisible engages, quick attacks, fast disengage + engage skills, daze especially as condition is all equally broken as CC is, just only CC got nerfed. and only cc and pure dmg on every class got nerfed, therefore it didn't hurt the big dps much. also the only difference to rock dog rune is therefore that the dog has bad HP and does not spam cc, the stats it provides are way better tho. i also did not see, or maybe just not notice - bc i bomb enemies no matter of the pets they bring, a significant increase of golem-pet-zergs. (would barely be spottable tho, we are anyways 24/7 outnumbered here)
  4. shock u need to use "," and "." in your sentences, really hard to read. also wrong, the outnumbered faction just got bombed usually with 3-4 dragonbanners at once. i've seen that way more often than i'd wanted to. even if they bring sixty people against our 20-25, some people always bring the dragonbanners into play. u may criticize that the recent nerf on banner damage was not good, because they would be fine at full power since regionbound. but the overall change was pretty good.
  5. it was a pretty nice and overall healthy change. three-four thieves, warrior, revs etc stacking dragon banners that they ported in from all over the map can be really powering up a yet big group and generates a ton of kills and damage out of nowhere. we had in the past several battles, where you had to deal with 4 dragon banners at once, which simply gets pretty annoying if u are the smaller group that has to cleave through a several times sized enemy group, and additionally gets crossfired constantly not only by rangers, thieves and mesmers that can perfectly hide within those numbers, but also several rouge dragonbanners. however, now the nerf on the banners dmg that happened before was completely unnecessary. they shoulda done this regionbind way earlier, we asked them on here for quite some time.
  6. if i really look at all the shiny glowing armor stuff, you probably just zoomed in too far at your character. i never did any crazy calibration or even adapt my screen. if it is too bright, using the button combination to "brightness -1" 95% fixes the issue. that this is necessary on some parts of the maps is however far from new. so if it works on a potatoe laptop for me, what is your excuse? i might reconsider to buy a gaming PC if u tell me now that i have to summon three demons at midnight under the red moon to turn my brightness of screen -1, i however severly doubt that it is that dramatic. and there's a lot of other and far more disturbing stuff for gameplay. i didn't even notice this overbrightness issue specifically lately. however, on low res it might hurt less, since everything's a bit more blurry anyways to have better performance. i care not that much about "oh noes, it looks ugly (and too bright)" like you did phrase it. if it veils effect field that would be bad, i personally didn't notice it, that'd be rather a argumentation line for a fixing.
  7. fait guilds are a rare sight, yet within the past year more and more people only wanted to fight on their terms constantly. leading to giving wrong appointments (we meet at X but they won't show up for example) or they bring 2 other guilds as backup that stealthpush you midfight. sometimes they don't bring them but add in apparently on their own. won't write more bc might go yet against the forum rules, but this is kinda the issue. imo comes from most guilds becoming too casual. inexperienced players led by few older players that kinda trick the system, leading to damage within the system itself. this is also sorta balancing issue. @"jul.7602" especially in t1 they're rather not. that's the ppt-farm area. if there are fighting guilds around, then they are just rather few, barely recognizeable. t1 has the highest activity counts and numbers, therefore it is less (least even) about how effective u play. t2-t4 is where u find them mostly.
  8. u can turn down your screen brightness ingame or at your device. this isn't a real problem that needs to be looked at.
  9. acutally a good change, took long time. did not expect it, but still nice to have. with this now, they should not have nerfed the banner-damage tho... thing is, now it would be time for new content finally. like, there is not even any option to choose in 90% of the tactics-slots. nerfing stuff to avoid too broken stuff is nice sometimes, just if you carve the pumpkin too much, it becomes orange-size and won't be even big enough to contain a candle to light inside ;P

  11. all these mentioned in the OP are only a problem for noobs, which have absolutely no clue how to play anything but pirateship. most people just lack even a basic understanding of the classes, and wonder that they cannot fight them at all. anet's balancing isn't going anywhere, they only make good stuff (which defines a metagame basically as the upper class) worse, so every trashy sniper class gets better in relation to it... and this is what some salty pepes want, most of the players of the Wvw-format do not want that though. like what was in the last streams? anet thinking of making herald even worse... after like removing 60% skills that do damage from the specs... it is only a damagedealer for AOE, absolutely no reason to doctor around that. fix the shitty smallscale condirev thingy would be the way to improve something, just fixing condi or smallscale seemingly never will ever happen in this game i guess.
  12. sorry but stop crying about that... tis is still NOTHING compared to what main Wvw players gotta do for our legendaries... after 3 years, i am still not past precusor dawn3 beginning of that one, because this pve jumping puzzle stuff absolutely gets me seasick. and our problem wouldn't be solveable by making materials sell-able via the trading post :P i have like 50+ gifts of battle i don't need, several ascended boxes i cannot use yet (bc no stat changing inscriptions) etc
  13. no, because the whole format isn't designed about all elite specs those classes have, period. if ranger and thief had a chronolike thing, they'd be legit. they have not, they are glass or smallscale mainly, which is the opposite that Wvw is built for. most of them also don't try to be useful. the few that do also somehow manage to be, just still very nieche and u need not many of them. more than 4-5 of each per map is a weakening of the zergpower. (matters less if the zerg'd be voiced and full with veterans, but for most servers that is a extremly utopian scenario)
