Played WoW for a decade...yes barbershop feature was great, and for the monthly cost, absolutely should be part of the game. GW2, free to play, cost of a couple of expansions, three years later, and I have so many transmutation charges I can't use them all...they just accumulate. Have several hair change kits, also have paid nothing for them, and occasionally have used a complete change one to modify a character. Also, cost me nothing. Keep it as is.

Leyline lags for most people, wvw can if there's a zerg. And frequently yes, there has been lots of lag randomly. Try lowering particle effects, character model qualities, shadows, number of players models, etc. Sometimes you have to tweak it a bit for your personal computer to be happy.

There are gobblers for those...even for the casual adult, fully employed, child rearing, only log on briefly each day gamer...like shooting at karkas?

[SAND] still does dry top meta?
Farohna.6247 replied to ugrakarma.9416's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I think they still run it, but might be incorrect. Keep an eye on weekends especially, Saturdays seem to be popular. Join a map, join a tag, keep an eye on looking for group. If any dailies are there, you will find more groups of course, but personally have had good experiences lately with groups in Dry Top. -

It's a clunky system, and in my opinion not the best way to implement saved looks, but to go any further on the FashionWars front, they'd have to completely rework the wardrobe system to devise another way of storing dyes/certain armor combinations. Valid point, I use them for pve, wvw, etc...they would work for a closet. Clunky is a great word for it. Sadly, no they likely would not bring in such a feature due to the monetary aspect that already exists. Lol still would be fun ?

I find that after the lengthy critique of GW2, and simply nostalgia for GW1, that you would want a GW3 to further your disappointment is puzzling. Or as before mentioned, perhaps this just isn't really a suitable game for your personal interests. Agree that the presentation of cut scenes and dialogue, especially in core game and lws2 is a yawn and corny at times. Maybe you would be better served simply playing a multiplatform game like genshin impact, and saving yourself the frustrations. GW2 is unlikely to change much of their format or style.

If making gold is what you enjoy doing then definitely hit up silverwastes or other metas in newer living world seasons, fractals make money if you like them. Some items you can craft sell well on trading post or sell mats. Fifty gold though is higher, imo, than what most casual players who log on after work make. Also, the holiday events....sell items from those.

Yep. You really do have to wait to use the trading post. However, doing hearts, personal story, and drops from mobs or events do reward gear that will work just fine for leveling.

Agree that it would make a wonderful warclaw (still love it for pve and great fun hopping about on it)...how about a different four legged friend for wvw. Let's say a ram, where a warclaw can pull down walls, ram could help batter them in a similar fashion -
It's not negativity or dislike of new ideas or immersive experience. GW2 has the "playing alone together" casualness that is part of the charm. While I understand the interest in having more complex specialties to invite player interaction is appealing to some, it can be laborious in many other games. Spamming need x for y gets very boring. Do away with repairs, sure. Give the people who have instant repair canisters a trade in option? Absolutely. Likely to happen, no since that keeps a bit of gemstore revenue. I ride around on a beetle that leaves a glitter trail, a raptor that has an aura, and wear leaves. Not overly concerned about realism, just about having fun, and enjoying interaction with people in events where we all fight the big monster together for some loots.
-
Still prefer a portable one, a la engineers from WoW. Would it be handy for a guild doing a raid to have individuals repairing, sure. But the trade window would be inconvenient, for example you die and wp. You quickly repair, run back. No need to pester someone with hey can you repair this or have to seek them out. Also, if they implemented such a system, then tailors would be able to repair light armor, leatherworkers for medium, and equivalent for weapons....yikes

For most it becomes a personal goal, one to see a big number, some for titles/minis/items/etc. Frequently it's something to do in MMOs during "down time", i.e. between content releases, waiting for raid resets. Personally I enjoy achievements, sometimes I find interesting things I would not have looked into or aspects of the game I would not have tried. It calls attention and gets many people to try different things.

A tiny ox would be charming :3

Honestly thought it was a warclaw skin at first glance due to the bulk, amusing to see it blink from bouncing beef friend to dashing dust cloud. Moo'ing would have been some icing on the (beef)cake. Softer colors play well on the body, but have seen bold colors tromping about as well. -
I dislike Drooburt consuming my event currencies at any holiday, so bags are a nice addition. It's just a personal dislike lol

Lunar festival missing community feel
Farohna.6247 replied to Balsa.3951's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Don't most of the holidays have a mix of community vs competitive....wintersday has both, halloween has both. Just depends on which events you spend most of your time in. -
Infinite gathering from Gem store
Farohna.6247 replied to BeastNHisHarlot.4865's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Volatile magic and unbound magic are both winners for conversion to mats and gold. I use both, as well as glyph of watchknight on unbreakables...can't go wrong with sprockets. -
Gem Store Purchase regrets
Farohna.6247 replied to Tekoneiric.6817's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Have no regrets, not an impulse buyer lol. Found a very handy list once online of what things were actually useful/practical to spend gems on for QoL, like storage and bank slots, and have a few skins and outfits. I mostly use them for leveling characters so I don't have to see mishmashes of gear or constantly be redecorating the paper dolls -
High Learning Curve for the Game
Farohna.6247 replied to Nemesis.8576's topic in Players Helping Players
I found coming to the game a few years ago to be a very easy and accessible experience, very low learning curve. While they do need to improve some explanations on skills, combos, and what certain items or mats are useful for (less ambiguous clues would be nice lol), most are not difficult. Perhaps playing previous PC MMOs helped in many regards, but it's a very casual player experience. Practice, practice, practice, ask questions, and unfortunately sometimes wiki. It's not like you can ruin anything by clicking a button on something and finding out what it does ;) -
Deldrimor Stoneskin Infusion Stacking Options.

I like how you've stacked them and it's not an eyesore...still saving mine for future use, so thanks for some inspiration! -
A small hope in regards to Mountskins for EoD.
Farohna.6247 replied to RizelStar.3724's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Agree with kharmin that for very causal players it offers an otherwise unobtainable option. Everyone earns gold, at the very least by dailies, as opposed to grinding out something or behind content that many will never be able to do because of time constraints. While I have enjoyed obtaining mounts in other games through raid or grindy content, it's very difficult once that content becomes less relevant to find groups to share that interest. A new skin for the release, perhaps. Something new and fun just for EoD? Sure.
