I assume that you're complaining about Festive Imbiber. I did all of the other Wintersday achievements that were available my first year during that first wintersday of mine. Festive Imbiber took me 2 more years, about. I did it slowly--got myself a home instance tree, opened a present a day, drank the available drinks. Got impatient and bought some cheap tonics off the tp (unlike the eggnogs, you have to individually double-click every tonic to drink them). I finished. I could've finished a lot sooner if I felt like spending the gold to buy all of the drinks outright, or if I had spent the time to complete the jp a gazillion times. It really wasn't hard, just time-consuming because I did it the lazy poor man's way.

Yes, I'm sure. I bought some cheap delicate snowflakes off the tp, thinking "oh what a deal!" but then i converted and got half the number that i expected

With vendor, 1 Snowflake = 1 Delicate Snowflake

With inventory consumption, 1 Snowflake = 2 Delicate Snowflakes

Huh... sounds like bad luck. I've joined lots of guilds (and left lots), but I've yet to see one so obviously off from their goals. Never saw people being mean or rudely unhelpful to newcomers, either, especially when they're looking to recruit them.

So, just to be clear, this is only for EU? NA players can't join?

I'm not usually dead or down during those events, but that should also be fixed.

It's just how all events work. You get the full event reward once the event ends, not before. It's the same as all events across all of Tyria.

Hey ANet... can you make all the chests behave the same way <_< At least so that all PvE chests are the same.

The level 80 boost gives you level 80 exotic gear of a generic build for your class. For example, as a guardian, I'd get a Soldier build, aka Power, Toughness, Vitality. Now, that's great for me--I want the tank build. But others would prefer Power, Precision, Ferocity, for a power build, or Power, Precision, Condition for part-condi build, or etc. If you're feeling weaker than usual, then there's three posibilities

1) You had ascended/legendary gear before, which is better than exotic level.

2) You got stats that you didn't use before, e.g. you used tank before but now have power, which means you're squishier. Or you used power build before but now have tank, so you do less damage. Also make sure to check your Build panel in your Hero's tab, where you customize different traits.

3) PoF monsters are actually harder than core Tyria monsters, so you might still be adjusting. When I first ran around PoF in my inefficient build with exotic gear, I thought that I'd had to change into an efficient build or use ascended gear. However, I am currently running around with the same exotic gear and a slightly-better-but-still-inefficient build that I like more. So there's the possibility that you're just not used to the PoF monsters.

Yeah, same. Even though I already know that I'm getting the loot if I'm near it (if you're too far away, you actually don't get it), I have to just run up to it and press F at least once. So I want that chest opening animation--and I want it to remain open, not close again--so I don't feel the need to mash F.

When you kill world bosses or fractal bosses or etc., you'll get those giant chests that drop and leave a giant chest icon on the map. Those that autoloot don't get the joy of seeing it open--it usually remains closed even if you try to manually loot it (though you get the loot); othertimes it'll open, but it's already after you've autolooted. So please, please fix this so that the chests do the opening animation as soon as you autoloot.

Central tyria is central tyria—you don’t need HoT or PoF to unlock them. Just get one character to level 80 to be able to use them, and meanwhile you can still collect the mastery points around tyria.

It would still be fair if there was no gold->gems at all, because all gemstore items are luxury goods, not needed to play the game itself. The game is pay-once-to-play, so ANet makes nearly all of their money from those that spend real money on gems.

By allowing us to do gold->gems at all, they’re cutting out a lot of their potential profit. And by putting only luxury goods in the gemstore, they’re ensuring that no poor man gets hurt (except the timeless greedy, but that’s their problem).

It’s very fair.

In the escort for Doctor Elly, part of Verdant Brink's Pact Encampment day event chains, the event description is off. At the very bottom of it, it says that there are 0/4 survivors left to rescue, but there's actually 4 groups of survivors to rescue. In addition, rescuing either one person or an entire group only changes the 0/4 to 1/4 briefly, then changes back to 0/4 once the next group is to be saved.

Some weapons are unable to be equipped, it seems, when you're mounted. I mounted on my raptor and equipped new armor just fine, but then I tried to equip my harpoon gun that I just got as a leveling reward and it said that my profession cannot equip it. So, knowing that I was able to equip it (since it was a leveling reward), I dismounted. Sure enough, I could equip it then.

In the Charr story, after A Fork in the Road, you're supposed to be able to see your father resting in Hero's Canton if you chose to help the "sorcerous shaman". But I'm unable to find him; can anyone tell me exactly where he is in your home instance?

Please make all Upgrades 50% or more off for Wintersday ~.^
