    Who needs more than 6 gear templates for one character??

     

    Seems like people are mad because they feel entitled to something that was made as a free add-on, that was in no way part of the actual game, that is going to stop working. You should never get attached to third party software because you have no guarantee that it will always work, and Anet has no responsibility to keep it functioning.

     

    Do I feel like we should have to pay for build templates? No. Sure they're giving us 3 per character, but I do think it should be unlimited - why wouldn't you want people to be playing a diverse set of builds? But maybe you should be complaining about that instead of crying about ArcDPS.

  2. You should post whether you mean the core story, a LS season, Heart of Thorns story or Path of Fire story. You should also post if it is a specific story instance that is causing trouble.

     

    The easiest way around this is just to ask someone to help you, if you have friends or a guild, or just mapchat. You can also use the LFG tool in game (I'm not sure how well this works for story content however).

    Although we don't ask that you have experience with every boss, we ask you have appropriate gear, are comfortable with your class and know fight mechanics. You must be able to join the Discord, mic not required.

     

    We _prefer_ any the following classes:

    Alacrity Ren

    Condi Quickbrand

    Condi Scourge

    Chrono

    Druid

     

    However we can work with anything, so just give me a shout in game!

    I completely agree with you, I loved the map and the story! It actually encouraged me to create a Charr to play through the personal story so I could see more about their lore, and it was cool!

     

    I also loved the design of the events in the area - there is a real mix of things to do, not just "escort x" or "kill x" or "defend for x minutes". The Metal Concert has to be the best designed event in the game imo.

     

    And this is just a prologue! I'm super excited to see what the actual episodes bring to the table, I hope they're on the same level and don't take too long to release (I'm expecting November, I really hope it's before next year).

     

    The only criticism I have is how easy the WvW/PvP reward tracks made it to unlock *everything*. I understand them having the achievement "meta" reward (the emote) but the Metal Legion Shirt thing went from an expensive collection to just a timegate.

  5. ~~I'm having this same issue, kinda - I got to 10/11 of the brand stompers and then they ALL started appearing as broken again. I have re-tried to fix all 11 of them, and none of them are popping as the last one, and they all still remain named as broken.~~

     

    EDIT: The bug seems to be they appear as broken even after you have "fixed" them, it turns out I was still missing one. It's likely you have already done that one and it's been counted towards the achi.

  6. I have had the same problem 2 days in a row after completing Troublesome Skyscales (and talking to Gorrik, if I speak to him now he just says he has nothing for me and I should check back later). It still says to wait until reset for Riding Skyscales to unlock.

     

    I think this is due to my mailbox being full when I logged in (I had been sent multiple mails) and so it won't deliver the mail to start the next step. Unfortunately I can't stop people sending me multiple mails so it seems I may be stuck at this point for quite some time. I have re-logged, tried multiple characters and been to multiple zones - still no way to progress.

  7. I kinda like the time gate, it means I have something to do for the next couple of weeks, rather than be like the people who rush the content all in one day ~~and then cry there is nothing to do.~~

     

    It makes sense that since you are hatching your skyscale and "growing" it, that it would take some time. You didn't have the skyscale for the last 6 years, does it hurt so much to play the game a little for the next week or two until you have it?

     

    Sure, it's a long-ass collection and the daily reset thing is weird - it would indeed make more sense to unlock one collection per day regardless of if you completed the last (but make it locked so you have to complete the previous one first, just not have to wait for daily reset).

     

    I think of it more like a legendary mount, it's basically an upgraded griffon (minus the superspeed).

     

    Personally I found the second day of the collection very fun, having to visit old maps and do weird shit like jumping in lava, I think it's a great idea. Although finding the scales/sick skyscales/eggs was a little tedious, I enjoyed exploring the new map whilst doing it and probably wouldn't have done that if it wasn't for the collection.

    No, the skill I refer to is F2 on Gazelle since you run the Gazelle with this build. If you use it without a target, you will instead dash forwards a distance and can combine it with GS3. It seems like all the people like you on this thread expect ranger to win every single match up? Every class has its counters, and classes that out mobilise SLB or classes that can't be killed in the 4 second unlockable window are of course going to be much harder to kill.

     

    In match-ups like power chrono or power reaper, SoS can be pretty nice to give you extra time for the last 1-2 autos you need to down them.

     

    I have 8k hours on ranger and spent a considerable amount of time playing this build, maybe you shouldn't assume. I am not complaining about ranger, I consider Sic 'Em too strong and so made a thread suggesting a change to it.

    That is the soulbeast's stats, they are then getting 40% dmg on top of that. Almost 4k power plus a 40% dmg boost.

    So a Soulbeast can get these stats (full asc berserker plus 25 might, easily doable in a roaming party) and then can get a 40% dmg buff from Sic 'Em. How can you not think that is too much of a damage boost? ANYTHING you hit with is going to do insane damage, I can dismount a guy with 2 autos, then rapid fire and he's dead. It is still going to do a lot of damage if you halve the skill to say... 20% dmg for 8 seconds

    +and not be as obnoxious as it is now.
