Where does it say ~~Karka ~~ karma *gains*?

Without the buff you get 0 karma per kill.

With the buff you get x>0 karma per kill.

This is a boost to overall karma gained.

  3. Starter skins, sure. Cultural armor, no.

Edit: However I think things are fine as they are. I am drowning in transmutation charges, but perhaps that is because I play a decent amount of pvp/wvw. People are given free transmutation charges each month and they drop pretty regularly from map completion (100% chance from cities and starter zones).

  4. A group of us finished the Deepstone fractal and got an endless loading screen when porting back to the hub. Now we all have 2-5k ping after relogging and there is 5-10 second lag inside the fractal hub when trying to change fractal scale or enter a fractal. Seems to be fine outside of FotM, we have all tried relogging. Anyone else have this issue right now?

  5. Hey, we are a guild called [Nom]. We raid Sunday and Thursday 19:45-22:00 and have raided together for several months now. We typically clear wing 1&4 and Escort, and are working on clearing other wings. We have a casual attitude.

We are looking for any player that can ideally play 2 (or more) of the following roles:

    -Druid

    -Heal Renegade

    -Alac Renegade

    -Firebrand (Quickness, Heal)

    -BS

-Condi DPS (Mirage, Scourge, FB pref.)

    -Power DPS

But what I _do_ know, is that blocked players, _cannot_ see you online nor know your location _unless_ they've friended you or are literally right next to your toon in Divinity's Reach. There is a blocked list, yes, but there isn't a "These-people-have-me-blocked" list, right? Unless, I completely misunderstood the OP, here, which I probably did.

    > Hurm. That's what I thought. It's just that the OP worded their statements quite- strange? What I gathered from their statement, was that as soon as someone blocks another, the blocked would be able to see the blocker's location and status just like the friends list. Which isn't true, _unless_ the blocked has the blocker on their friends list. Which was my point.

She is referring to targeted harassment, as in, the person knows you and has you on their friends list and can still see all your info despite you blocking them.

10000 times yes. I haven't visited my own home instance for years, we just tunnel all our resources into one guildie and raid their's every day. It doesn't feel personal or homey and I want a reason to spend time there. XD

  8. -Build Templates

    -Cats in my guild hall

    -Build Templates!

-Actual Player Housing - that you can decorate like guild halls

    -Build Templates!!!

    -Underwater Rework

-BUILD. TEMPLATES. It's pretty much in place with the 3 pre-made pvp builds, why can't you let us save our own? T_T

    -A fun new fractal

-To save the Princess from Lord Vanquish

So, not only do they need new revenue, they need to acquire it from old players. Other than new content (which just got a lot harder to produce), this means new sales of items.

Because they had staff working on other projects. Not because GW2 is struggling. GW2 is not struggling.

This is a lazy and pointless idea.

If you have blocked them, you don't want to communicate with them and you probably don't want them to see where you are, it leaves you open to being trolled and harassed further. This doesn't mean they can't still see you if you happen to be in the same place at the same time, but it means you can freely play and communicate with other people and your actual friends without having to worry about that one person trying to ruin your experience.

    > Unfortunately it won't solve a thing. All they need to do is to create a new free account and use it to track you. So there hardly is a solution, except for you to ignore them and wait until they'll get bored. At least, with current implementation. If there would be a setting which would prevent anybody to freely add you to their friendlist, or there would be set of properties you could use to fine-tune to whom you want your location to be shown, and to whom it shouldn't be shown (like, show it to mutual friends (may be even only specific friends), don't show it to those who simply added you to their list, without you adding them etc) - that would be a solution you need. But that implies re-work of the current thing, and Anet is very unwilling of any deep QoL reworks.

Then why even have a block system in place in the first place? Right? What even is this response? People are just asking for something to be put in place to help stop being harassed and you're shooting it down because... why? how does this negatively impact ANYONE?

Free accounts can't access half of the game.

    > Uh... and? If he just waves, let him. If he spams skills to flash your screen, report him for harassing.

    >

You are forgetting the impact that this has on a person's mental state. They can see what area you are in REGARDLESS of them being on a friends list or not. When someone is added to your block list they are removed from your friend's list. Try blocking a friend and unblocking them: they are added to followers after.

Reporting for harassment does not solve the immediate issue, and these things ruin the player experience especially if this is a long term thing.

  12. > @"Linken.6345" said:

    > You do know why they would be valued low right?

    > Some people feel harrassed when people look or wave at them.

    THIS.

It is one example, however: I had an abusive ex-boyfriend that I played the game with. Whenever I tried to get away from him I would block him, however he could still see which map I was in and he would go there and follow me around whilst spamming emotes (/cry, /wave) on me. I felt like I could not get away from him. The only way for me to play the game was to play as invisible and not be able to access guild chat, or talk to anyone. And the point of GW2 for me has always been to play socially. I ended up having to buy another account just to be able to play without being harassed. I even contacted support about it and there was NOTHING they could do other than tell me to block him and ignore him, essentially.

There is NO down side to you showing your status as invisible to people you have blocked.

  13. I've been playing a Mender Aurashare D/Wh Tempest in PvP and it feels decent enough, it's a lot of healing and utility and great vs condi. It hits like a damp potato though, except for it can easily stack 25 might to allies (using might blasts and wh 4 in fire) and air wh 5 does a ton of damage and vulnerability if you aim it right.

I've been running warhorn because of the easier access to extra auras and the condi cleanse and water field in water for the extra healing, and mainly to provide a ton of might to allies. The CC is arguably better than focus, Gale is a nice knockdown but it's on a long cooldown (40 seconds), Cyclone is on a much shorter cooldown (25s) and is AoE, it can pull multiple foes together into a damage spike. Comet is also only a daze, warhorn water 4 is a heal, condi cleanse and knockback.

Seems like the main plus points of focus are the two big utility skills - Swirling Winds and Obsidian Flesh. Swirling Winds' need is negated with Warhorn 4 + "Aftershock!", since a reflect is more damage than destroying a projectile. Obsidian Flesh is pretty neat though, it's defintely harder playing without it, though I usually slot mistform in that case. Stomping is pretty easy with earth 5 for the blind, and mistform is shorter duration which is better for contesting points. However, you can still use skills during obsidian flesh.

Seems like Warhorn is better vs high condi and Focus is better vs high power? Perhaps I'm horribly wrong, but I've had a lot of fun playing Tempest lately and I desperately wish it was good, and it's been fun trying different weapons.

Basically wondering on peoples' thoughts of running warhorn/focus, and which is better.
