  1. Chaotic interruption Mirage is still way too strong in WvW roaming and PvP. The penalty of your weapon recharge rate being reduced is absolutely meaningless. The Mirage cloak damage from your illusions critically hitting with Infinite horizon is where all the damage comes from.

     

    You are also introducing a guaranteed interrupt from chaotic storm , which is also used for the chaotic interruption Mirage build by taking staff.

     

    This build is Cancer in WvW roaming and PvP 5vs5 Ranked. Please address this properly. You temporarily disabled it in PvP, until supposedly it could be addressed properly.

     

    From what I can see, it has not been reworked or addressed properly.

     

    I know that Mesmer identity is being able to disrupt, but players should not be immobilized and dazed simultaneously. It’s way too powerful and ruined last season once everyone started using this build.

     

    On another note, all the other changes look like they could improve WvW Zerg fights in general. But this is what stood out immediately after reading these proposed changes.

     

    Now I know people are going to put me in Over Nerf Mirage clan, but that really isn’t the case.

     

    I actually think the most powerful classes in PvP that have not been addressed or toned down is Holosmith and Spellbreaker. Now Spellbreaker has been toned down a couple times, but Holosmith Damage output really should be addressed.

     

    As a Scourge main, this is what I can really comment on. Reducing the barrier output of Sand Flare in WvW will make it easier to zerg bust and probably make it slightly easier to take down a Zerg. However, if this change was also implemented in PvP it would nerf Scourge out of the meta and make it way to easy to kill solo Necros. This is a solid change for WvW and well thought out. However, this should never be implemented in PvP, but is reasonable change to make for WvW.

     

    Reducing Aegis spam from Firebrand looks good too.

  3. So I was just playing last night without looking up possible achievement points with much detail . But I did notice that I did not receive any and was wondering if there were any Event-Chains in Core Tyria with champion bosses that award Achievement points.

     

    I played primarily in Curses Shore and Frostforge Sound, and did not unlock any achievements.

     

    Now it’s possible that I have unlocked everything already as I have been playing for 5 years.

     

    For me personally, with the world boss and meta events, I knew I wasn’t going to hit the rare or super rare categories in bonus boxes. But I was completing several achievement points which was my actual goal of participating in these events.

     

    Please Let me know if there are any obvious event chains in Core Tyria not associated with World bosses.

     

    There already is one thread for the best places to farm champion bosses for marks. So try to focus on achievement point unlocks for this thread that players should not forget to visit. Thanks!

     

     

  4. That outfit only will become available with black lion statuette system. Because it was a black lion exclusive item, it will never be released at the gemstore for gems.

     

    It’s been about 4 months since it was available to be purchased with black lion statuettes; so the odds of it being released is actually pretty good within the next 2 monthes.

     

    The only catch is you will need to have 60 black lion statuettes ready to go or be willing to pay that expensive price on the trading post.

     

    If you really like gemstore outfits, check out the Starborn Outfit which is currently an uncommon black lion exclusive drop from keys this month. 25 keys will go sale this Friday at 1470 gems. That’s the best deal you will ever have at buying keys. Obviously the best deal is key farming 1 each week with new characters .

     

    Good luck if you choose to go with the black lion key RNG way. I enjoy it, but only buy those keys when they go on sale.

  5. I watched several videos this week for light in darkness and Kingslayer Queen’s gauntlet achievement.

     

    There is usually not hard enough content that requires watching a YouTube video but this was one of them. It’s also extremely useful to watch PvP videos for builds or general PvP knowledge.

     

    But the truth is that most of the GuildWars 2 community tends to skip the game’s harder content, and complain when it’s too hard for them.

     

    Take the Skyscale launch, oh no it takes too long and too much effort to get the newest mount !

  6. We need a 5vs5 Guild vs Guild game mode with a completely separate ladder from solo que Ranked PvP ladder to be added.

     

    This is the best solution as no new content will need to be developed by ANET as current PvP maps will be used.

     

    It would give teams and friends the ability to compete again in a format that people care about. Just like the original Guild Wars 1 Guild vs Guild ladder.

     

    The only development effort would come from creating the Guild ladder and perhaps reworking how the match maker system is configured.

    I second this. Only the 5 man que should be a separate ladder and Guild vs Guild 5 vs 5. A new game mode utilizing the current pvp system but with a completely separate ladder from solo que.

  8. All ANET would need to do is prevent plat 3 players or 1650 rating or higher from Duo queuing with anyone .

     

    It used to be that plat 1 or higher could not Duo que together, and it would be a healthy halfway point to make sure the top 25 spots go to players that can actually carry.

     

    It would be awesome to see those top 25 go up against 2 plat 1 or 2 teams for those final spots on the top of the ladder. Then less experience would be lost every game and more experience could be gained.

     

    Making it to plat 1 or plat 2 as a Duo que should be high enough, but if you want to be legendary, then you will have to carry those final games.

  9. Self style hair kits were good for new players, but awful for anyone that opens more than 10 black lion chests each month.

     

    So glad they are gone, the total makeover kit out of uncommon category is even better. Easier to obtain the monthly exclusive item :)

     

    Thank you ANET for removing this useless drop for veteran players that open multiple black lion chests every month.
