  1. I don't think they are being greedy, I think the players are.

You ASKED for it, If you think about the man hours and development and just how much free stuff we get given and you complain about a charge on a QOL item?

We have to pay for bank we have to pay for more inventory. You get given some slots and if you want more then fine, you need to pay.

Spare me the 'I'm not going to play anymore' BS - If you don't want to support the game anymore you're either not playing anyway or not a worry.

  2. LoL I'm a lady and ladies don't disclose their age - However when does age matter? I mean really. I read a lady, sadly passed was in her 80's comm'ing in WvW. I don't think this is the first time age had been mentioned, so kudos on posting it a 2nd time.

    > >

    > > Not intended as an insult or at least by me. I use that as people tend to only focus on the good and ignore the bad when thinking back on past content. Also, why do we have to regurgitate previous content instead of going somewhere completely new? If GW1 did not have Cantha, would players even be asking for something similar to be released into GW2?

    >

    > Focusing on the good seems appropriate, on topic, when the question was why some people liked Cantha. I enjoyed Cantha, Kaineng and the Echovald Forest in particular, but that doesnt mean that I think the Factions campaign was without fault. Its not nostalgia, just actual enjoyment of the product.

    This BTW. Just this.

  4. Players : we don't want Heros and hench.

Also Players : You can't play with us without meta builds, 500KP, 100cm fractals , or 60k DPS.

Why are some of you so intimidated by there being AI in the game? I'm sure you all have happy little groups yourself, while some people are not quite so lucky. Why shouldn't a game allow every kind of player to be able to play and potentially do content they might of not been able to do? There is no rule that a person with few friends shouldn't play. If you could try a raid with heros without bothering anyone why is that an issue? At least you wouldn't get any grief from failing.

Quite a selfish attitude if you ask me considering yet again people are saying 'no' to something they know won't happen.

    Does'alf make me laugh.

    Nope. I liked Hearts.

You do know you can scroll on by? I do on the WvW threads often.

I would love a mute function too.

If it creates enough conflict so that it loses money, then it won't be done. Anet (and NCSoft) have already done their research on Cantha and determined it to be too detrimental.

Aren't any of you fed up 'winning'?

I did and my post stands.

  9. The issue was to do with the BUILDINGS as stated by Josh Foreman. That is why the canthan area was taken from DR.

However It is 250 years down the line and heck this is a fantasy game which can change lores and how things *LOOK*

    The tin hat is strong.

    TO quote :

We had a Cantha district. It was built out. It was polished. It was beautiful. We kept getting feedback about the Asian market. And everyone was having a problem with it because the Chinese don't like having their architecture mixed with Koreans and the Koreans don't like having their architecture with the Chinese. And of course it's fantasy smorgosbord. It's gothic mixed with Nordic mixed with ... that's just the way fantasy works. But not over there apparently. So it got to the point where we were like ... well, what do we do with this spot? We don't have time to rebuild from scratch, so we just nuked it.
